Rise Of Destruction - Chapter 2
Sitting in the bathtub Amon inspected his body. On his body, there were quite a few whip scars. They were from old Martha when she caught him in his escape.
Another interesting thing on his body was the blue half wing looking like pale symbol. Amon thought it was a half wing but that was because the symbol wasn’t whole. It was paler on its edges and would hardly be spotted.
‘I need to read about the spirits tomorrow! I have to make a contract and leave this place too…’
He didn’t want to be someone’s servant. Not in this life or another. In his last life, he wasn’t even qualified to be a servant, now he has much more possibilities to become someone.
His decision was that if it was going to be something it would be either something very good or nothing at all. Being the strongest wasn’t his goal because he knew it was impossible. All he needed was something in which he could excel the others and make a name for himself.
After cleaning the room and taking a bath, Amon went to sleep. There was a bell on the table in his room, which would wake him up half an hour before his duty. His duty started at a sunrise time.

Waking up from the bell sound Amon went into the library and greeted Lan, waiting for his tasks.
“Amon, clean the floor with this broom and mop after you are done you are free for today. ” said Lan as he pointed towards the corner where a broom lay.
Picking up the broom, Amon started cleaning the floor. The library was large and there was dust almost everywhere. It took Amon two hours to clean after having his breakfast of four eggs. The mop cleaning was relatively easy as it took only one hour and the floor was shiny clean.
During his activities, Amon would stop to look at the big map on the wall. He now knew where he was. The kingdom he was in was called Valencia while the continent’s name was Kirin. Valencia was red in colour and Cab town could be seen on the border between Valencia and the Rigis Kingdom.
Putting the mop and the broom on their place Amon turned to Lan. “Lan where can I find a book about the spirits?” looking at Amon, Lan pointed at a certain book on his desk.
The book wasn’t that big, it seemed to be just ten pages and picking it up Amon looked at the cover. ‘Spirit Rings or Mana Rings?’ opening the book Amon saw the bodies of the two genders illustrated.
It was a big excitement to him as a reincarnated person. These things were in the novels on Earth and now they were in front of him and the most exciting fact was that they were real.
‘As it is known, after the Magic Pact between the spirit (you) and the elements, has been completed, the heavens bestow us with a small core.
Creating the Spirit Rings from a certain elemental energy, we can call that both Spirit energy and Mana.
There is no need to argue about the names because it’s all the same. For individuals who temper their bodies, it would be relatively easy to absorb energy, store it and create Mana rings with it.
The process of training one’s body is hard and pointless as the body can be tempered with energy at a higher level of level.
Of course, there are sons and daughters of heaven who have unique bodies and are able to receive a unique core of which gives them abilities that hardly anyone has. A few of these ‘bodies’ can be seen on the last three pages.
In the world there exist all kinds of energy and some of them might be from the same element but the denser and thicker the energy is the higher quality it is. Depending on where you are, the energies might be higher or lower quality. This also depends on the method of energy/mana circulation that you use. If it’s a high grade one, you would be able to store more energy and it might be a high-quality one.
Amon switched to the next page but only saw information about people with unique bodies. It seemed that the rest of the page had been ripped off.
Looking at Lan, he saw him only shaking his head. Soon a maidservant came and brought them food. It wasn’t just eggs this time.
Amon didn’t expect spirits to be actually spirit rings for short but he was still satisfied with the knowledge he acquired today.
Amon tried to talk with old Lan during their lunch and after that, but Lan didn’t seem to be too talkative as he only nodded sometimes while keeping silence during the rest of their ‘talk’.
“Lan where can I take a circulation method from?” Amon suddenly asked. “I will take you to choose a circulation method after you make a Magic Pact with the elements. Your monthly payment is 2 silver coins so you can also choose a skill if a month has passed.” Lan answered.
‘So a skill is worth two silver coins…but wait..my payment is 2 coins! I was sold for 140 copper coins…DAMN THAT OLD HAG!’
Amon went back into his room and started trying to make a pact with the elements. He didn’t know how much time it would usually take for an individual to make a pact so he couldn’t assume his talent in this area.
After an hour of trying to make a pact, Amon looked through his window and saw two kids running in the gardens. They had brown hair and were dressed in clothes that were in much better quality than those of Amon.
‘Those are probably kids of the Rogers family…’
He didn’t know how to feel. There was a bit envy in his heart but he soon removed it from his mind. His goal wasn’t to be a servant and admire the others. His goal was simple – explore this magic world and its wonders.
Continuing his training Amon started to choke and took this for a good sign because it meant that the breathings were being executed more precisely.
Time passed and outside started raining. Amon got up and went to close the windows in the library. It took him half an hour because the windows were high on the wall and he had to use a ladder.
As he was about to go back in his room he saw that it was already time for dinner as the maid was bringing food. It was some fat lady who was running under the rain.
The food wasn’t the best he has ever eaten but it also wasn’t the worst. For twelve years he ate all kinds of foods and even after gaining his memories nothing much changed. He was Amon who had adopted in this world and its low-class food. Kai was just a memory which gave him higher intellect.
Finishing his dinner, Amon wished Lan a good night and went back in his room to practice. Two hours passed in failure.
‘This will be my last try…if I don’t succeed then I will continue tomorrow…’
Trying for one last time for today Amon adjusted his breathing and changed his hand seals. Those seals were simple and easy to remember so he learned them without facing any difficulties.
His breathing became ragged but he soon got better and Amon felt his consciousness relaxing and as if moving. It literally felt like he was being moved somewhere without moving any parts of his body.
‘So this is it! I succeeded!’
