Rise Of Destruction - Chapter 25
As the shops were close to the exit, Amon purchased the things he needed and directly headed out.
Looking at the map, he knew which direction to take now that he knew the dangerous for him zones.
He was heading for the Lava Lake which was in the south direction. It was an Elementary Stage Level Zone and thus suitable for him.
Fights experience was something which he had with humans but not magic beasts. From experience, many things could be learnt and new skills or techniques created.
Amon wasn’t going to create a skill but gaining experience and shaping his style of fighting was possible.
The plan he had was to find a place close to the Lake and fight with the beasts in the surroundings.
As for cultivation, a few dead beasts at the Elementary Stage was worth quite a lot of merit points which he could exchange for pills.
It would be a shame not to fill up the bag for carcasses he especially bought for this purpose…
Running at a good speed he entered the woods after an hour and the further he went the hotter and more dangerous it got.
Initial Stage beasts were intimidated by him and they hid from him. Amon discovered them but of course, he did not bother with them as they were not worth it…
It was around dinner time that he got close to the Lava Lake and stopped for a meal.
Eating the rabbit he caught after chasing it for a bit Amon stared ahead. He could feel something staring at him, but he still continued to eat as if he didn’t know.
Scorchmourne was on his waist waiting to leave its scabbard and cut down its wielder’s enemies.
‘Crack…Roar’
A cracking sound was heard as something had probably stepped on a branch. Following that, a roar was issued by the beast as it ran towards Amon who in turn jumped towards its direction.
Amon’s enemy was a Fiery Spotted Leopard and was on the low level of the Elementary Stage. One level beneath Amon, but its speed was enough to pose a threat.
‘Clang’…’Rarghh’
Claw and sword clashed and the sound of it rang across the silent forest. Amon did not apply energy to Scorchmourne as this was only a testing hit.
Both the beast and human backed away at an equal distance from the clash.
Amon was surprised as the wildcat was lacking in pure strength for what it had in terms of speed. The reason he backed at an equal step with the Fiery Spotted Leopard was that he had a tempered body and Scourchmourne weighed 110 kilograms.
Letting his blue mana run in the sword, Amon charged. Clanging and roaring sounds could be heard as Amon pushed more and more.
Dodging and slashing Amon cornered the beast and finally cut its throat by a ‘lying strike’.
‘Lying strike’ was just like the name suggested. It was basically stabbing or slashing but changing your direction of impact between the blade and body of the victim in the last moment.
The body of the beast fell with a ‘thump’ sound. Amon did not stand on ceremony and cut the valuables from the beast’s body. Tail, claws and etc.
Sitting down he finished his meal and continued on his way, scaring the low levelled beasts by using his spirit energy to pressure the surroundings.
This way he was also a walking target as there were quite a few Elementary Stage Beasts.
Amon’s goal was clear. He could fight with anything below the next stage after the Elementary.
“Let’s fight ha-ha!” laughed Amon as he charged towards the bear who was giving the pressure of the middle level, the same as him.
Amon wasn’t playing with this bear as he had injected his energy to the max in the sword. Blue lights could be seen as the sword in his hands moved.
The heat of the sword was so hot that it directly cut the claw of the bear.
‘Roaaaar’
———
Arriving at the Lava Lake Amon dropped his bag which contains the most expensive parts of the beasts he killed.
His robes were special else they would have been burned by now from the heat the Lava Lake radiated. It was a fire affiliated sect, their island would, of course, be something hot.
Heat in the cave and heat here… it can temper my body even more!
‘splash’
An explosion occurred in the lake and Amon had to swiftly back away lest he gets stricken by lava drops.
It was unknown how hot the lava was but Amon felt that if he touched it a bit, even a drop, he would at least have a hole and suffer massive burning.
Looking for a cave, Amon found one close to the lake but before he entered he stopped.
One pair…two pair…three..five…six pairs of red eyes were staring at him and grumbling sounds could be heard. A red wolf revealed its fangs as it stepped forward, following behind it the other wolfs revealed themselves too.
“Two at the mid-level and four at the low level…sounds fun…Come!” Even though Amon shouted ‘Come’ it was him who charged first.
He didn’t dare to save strength judging by the wolfs’s number. During the fight, he was clawed a few times but in the end, he managed to win without bleeding much.
Bandaging himself Amon popped a healing pill of the late Elementary Stage and two Energy Restoration pills of the late Elementary Stage.
Having more energy required more pills, and this was only half required to restore his full mana.
Inside the cave, there were bones of various animals. Throwing them in the lake Amon proceeded to clean ‘his’ cave.
Time passed and it was already morning. Amon started to run on the shores of the lake, practising his [Sand Burning Steps] while looking out for enemies to practice [Fire Palm Blast] and [Fiery Claw].
A vulture attacked him, then a monkey and so on Amon continued to practice on the incoming enemies until he met a dangerous opponent.
Black Nefarious Pythons were known for their hard scales which were giving them one of the best defences when it came to Pythons.
Except that their brute strength and speed was famous as well. They are pythons that live underground by making their own tunnels for moving by using the horn on their head.
Amon was walking when one of those popped up from the ground and attacked him. He understood that something was wrong as this Python attacked him in frenzy and the aura it radiated was on the limit of Elementary Stage, about to break into the Profound Realm!
Why is it so wild? It fights without using its most basic instincts, trading a hit for a hit! Thought Amon as he dodged the horn and parried the tail of the thirty-meter long python that was wide as him!
He had managed to remove a few scales but they were not damaged at all! The Black Nefarious Python was bleeding and was going more frenzy.
Running as fast as he could Amon was soon cornered, his back facing a wall. Stabbing Scorchmourne in the ground Amon made a ‘come-come’ sign with his hands at the frenzy Black Nefarious Python.
“FUCK IT! BRING THIS HEAD HERE!” Amon shouted as he became a frenzy too.
The python’s head was its weapon but also its weakness. Eyes, mouth, they were all weak spots.
As if hearing Amon the python stabbed towards him with its head. Barely dodging, a bang sound was heard as the head of the beast banged the wall.
Not wasting time, Amon executed [Fiery Claw] and [Fire Palm Blast]. As they were about to clash, his attacks momentum increased!
Breakthrough into the Profound Realm of Skill Comprehension!
Shrill screams came from the Black Nefarious Python as the claw removed its eye while the palm caused its other eye to explode. It wasn’t called a blast for nothing.
Not missing the moment Amon picked Scorchmourne and jumped high. Landing on the retreating beast he began stabbing its head. It wasn’t long before he penetrated it through its head from the eyes.
Jumping from the Python’s head Amon cleared the blood from his face. When the beast banged its head in the wall, some stones fell on his head but he didn’t have time to even think about them.
Breathing in and out, Amon popped pills in his mouth while calming himself. This was quite a big fight and he might have been the one dead if the Black Nefarious Python wasn’t going frenzy.
Its whole body is a treasure! But… let’s see what this bastard has eaten to become like that…
Picking the bloodied Scorchmourne Amon walked towards the dead Python.
