Rise Of Destruction - Chapter 26
Tearing through the stomach of the python with a bit of hard work, Amon managed to see the contents inside it.
There were some dead animals and after moving them a bit away, Amon found a grey cube and a black rock.
Looking at the cube, because he would, of course, disregard a rock, many thoughts flooded Amon’s head. Taking a deep breath he started to think what this cube might be.
‘Is this the Magic Cube from the Realm of the Gods? Haha struck it rich!’ just as Amon touched it with the tip of his sword, the cube melted.
It was normal considering where it came from, the python was a magical beast and a strong one at that, its digesting abilities were top. The cube disappeared bit by bit and with it the hopes of Amon for the Magic Cube.
There were quite a few vague memories about novels from his past life and Amon had a hope for some of them to be real.
Looking at the golden clouds ahead he thought that there might be a Laputa but he quickly banished this thought from his head as he started to inspect his last hope.
Touching the rock with the tip of Scorchmourne Amon breathed in relief. The rock might actually be something good!
Cleaning the various liquids off the rock, Amon finally held it in his hands for inspection. It was radiating heat but it was also transparent. Looking at things through it, Amon felt like he was looking through dark glass.
Clenching it with a bit force, Amon was surprised that it did not break and applied more force. Nothing happened and he used his full power but the result was the same.
His strength was enough to crush a boulder twice and even more his size yet it was unable to crush this glass looking little thing which was half an arm’s length and around three fingers wide.
‘Another treasure!’ cheered Amon. He didn’t know what this was but someone would definitely know.
Turning his head around he saw the body of the Black Nefarious Python. This was not a treasure, rather a treasury and he began exploiting it.
The scales and the horn were the most important things he needed while everything else was just merit points.
He planned on forging magical equipment by using these two valuables.
Soon he was done with the Python and had recovered from the fight long ago, so he headed back to the cave.
He met some beasts on the way but they were taken care of by Amon, who used only one hand as the other was busy carrying his big bag.
Next, he began practising the [Dance of Gan Jiang] and, [ Dance of Mo Ye] close to the Lava Lake. This way he improved his body, swordplay, speed and etc. Overall this prototype was giving him lots of small benefits which would eventually stack and have a big effect.
Scorchmourne in Amon’s hands was leaving only after images as its wielder moved faster and faster.
Finishing his training with the sword, Amon went back in his cave to eat.
This was enough training for one day and it was soon time for relax.
Picking a small cup which had blood, another which had orange leaves, and a few white stones Amon stood in front of the wall with closed eyes.
His mind was working, thinking, creating. Moving his body he topped his finger in the blood containing cup and began drawing on the wall. There was this, rare happiness of success which he felt when he did something he never imagined he would do.
Drawing and painting was something he liked a lot but never had time to do and he was now doing it. He wasn’t very good at it but he was doing what he could while also feeling happy.
As for sleeping… a bit meat from the magical beast he killed earlier by going frenzy, it gave him energy. It was just like every magical beast, their meat was restoring physical energy- tiredness.
The only problem was that the higher level in magic you are in, the higher level of magical beast meat you would need to consume in order to feel the effect.
In the corner of the cave, a bag was lying, full of valuables from the beast he killed earlier while in another, red wolf skin was being used as a bed which Amon still hasn’t used.
Stopping what he was doing for a bit, Amon was struck by an insight.
‘I use my fingers to draw at will…if I use my hand seals to form a sword at will, then I can surely do other things!’
Sitting, Amon began forming hand seals and various blue shields and other objects that could be used for blocking, defending, manifested in front of him.
‘No…to frail…too small…too big…’ failing over and over again Amon continued to explore the wonders of the skill he learned in the bonfires of the Scorching Cave.
He knew that he had paid too much attention on offensive power, thus forgetting about defensive power and was now trying to come up with something for defence.
The night passed and the morning came. Leaving the cave Amon began looking for magical beasts to test the defensive move he has been developing during the whole night.
Soon he found a Purple Vine Snake at the low stage of the Elementary realm and began testing his defensive move.
‘Hiss….Hiss…~cracking sounds~’
The snake was breaking every shield he manifested, with ease. In the end, Amon finished the snake off with one blow and continued to look for opponents, this time to fight.
He understood that the skill had limitations and he couldn’t create ‘skills’ like that. It was too good to be true and he found out why.
The seals were for control and not for creating very durable items. In the Scorching Cave, breaking someone’s manifested weapon wasn’t rare.
This was because the sect aimed to improve the efficiency of energy control of the elite disciples.
If the skill manifested too durable objects or higher quality ones, the injuries which would result from that would be too much for the sect to bear. The Scorching Cave was a place to train elites after all, not destroy them.
——
Pushing a two meters tall monkey away, he slashed its throat and took a defensive stance. Currently, he was surrounded by monkeys which were two stages below him.
Amon was standing in front of a very big three while facing around seven Scale Raging Monkeys. He wanted to climb this big tree which probably reached the clouds but he was stopped by these monkeys.
Annoyed, Amon initiated attacks and thus the fight began. He would move very fast as the monkeys either threw stones, punches or attacked him with sticks. From time to time he would stop and slash, reaping a life.
Finishing the last monkey, Amon towards the top of the tree as he breathed heavily.
