Rise Of Destruction - Chapter 27
Climbing the tree with ease, Amon enjoyed its sweet fruits.
Now and then, there would come a monkey he would kill but overall he was enjoying the fruits from the tree.
They had the same effect as the meat from magical beasts, energizing, killing tiredness.
The tree’s branches were quite large so fighting and moving agilely was an easy job for Amon.
Plus, he had a tempered body, this was an advantage in situations like that. If he falls and grabs for a branch, his grip might save him, but there is the possibility of breaking the branch too.
Jumping from one branch to another, Amon saw hammocks made from small branches and leaves which were used as a bed.
‘Those monkeys are quite smart to craft such things…’ thought Amon as he inspected the hammock and found some monkey fur on it.
‘It seems that the monkeys from before came from here…there might be more above me.’
Looking for treasures, Amon found only fruits, bones and other worthless trinkets.
Not staying here, Amon began climbing higher. His goal was to see the top. The only reason he couldn’t see that the tree was big was that the smaller trees had big crowns which blocked the sky view.
While climbing higher he would look down from time to time.
30…50..80 meters…
‘Hiss’
A Green Vine Snake attacked Amon but was killed by having its neck broken. Amon could spot these snakes very easily as they were green among yellow and red leaves.
Killing such snake wasn’t a hard thing to do with his tempered body alone. The [Everburning Flame Mantra] tempered his body, [Bluestone Body] was trained to the max, the [Dance of Gan Jiang and Mo Ye] also improved his body, not to mention the Vein Scorching Honey.
———-
Unsheathing Scorchmourne Amon ran towards his enemies in order to welcome them, even though he was the intruder.
Dodging a stab from a monkey, Amon grabbed the stick and kicked the monkey in the belly, causing it to fall while puking blood.
With a stick in one hand and sword in another, Amon began killing the monkeys faster and faster. As if he was executing the dance, each step either killed a monkey or pushed it from the branch, possibly killing it or wounding it from the fall.
On tight spaces like this tree branch, numbers hardly mattered so Amon fought without worrying much about the numbers.
Soon he was done and managed to find the monkeys beds and hammocks. There were more fruits and trinkets and that was it.
He continued on his way up, meeting more and more Scale Raging Monkeys and Green Vine Snakes until night came and Amon had to stop.
Not because it was night, rather because he felt that the next enemy he was going to face was much stronger.
While going up the number of monkeys increased only to decrease later on but the cultivations the beasts had was higher.
Now, he was standing a bit beneath the peak, the crown of the tree which had been decorated a bit.
By decorations, it would mean skulls, bones of various animals and fruits which were stacked at one place, forming a mountain.
After an hour of energy restoration, Amon was ready to go into a fight. The reason he didn’t use pills was that he might need them for after the fight.
Jumping a few times, he was soon standing in the crown of the trees. Looking around he saw something like a throne, crafted from stone.
‘there must be something here… Blood Racing Peaches!’ Amon was shocked by the discovery of these magical fruits that he forgot what he was looking for – the owner of that throne.
“Crap!” shouted Amon as he raised Scorchmourne to parry the incoming strike.
‘BANG’
A loud sound was heard as two hands wide silver wood stick collided with Scorchmourne.
Amon’s feet sank a bit into the tree itself! Silver Wood was known for its hardness which was above normal steel.
Looking at his enemies, Amon identified it.
Kerchak King Gorilla! They were on par when it came to cultivation but the beast was a bit better when it came to body strength. It was black, around three meters tall, with a muscular body and white eyes which stared at Amon with surprise.
“You like rough power huh…SO BE IT!” Amon crouched a bit and so did the gorilla as the force it has applied was too much. Next Amon fired his leg with his full power and it met the gorilla’s abs.
“ROARR….BANG”
A roar and a bang sound were heard as the gorilla crashed into its throne. Amon’s physical power was that high!
Walking slowly towards the Kerchak King Gorilla, Amon did a small scratching which resulted in loud cracking sounds.
“I came all the way just for this!” said Amon as he placed the now blue glowing Scorchmourne on his shoulder.
“Roaarrr” the Gorilla responded as it jumped towards Amon with its stick now being a bit red. This wood was able to transmit energy!
Not standing on ceremony, Amon jumped towards the gorilla too!
‘Clang…Clang….Clang…BANG…~cracking sounds~’
Amon and the Kerchak King Gorilla clashed with their weapons, sometimes producing clang sounds and sometimes a sound of a big ‘bang’. It was after two minutes that they began breaking branches and things started to fall apart.
‘pssttt…ARGH’
Blood spurted as Scorchmourne cut through the stick and slashed the Gorilla’s neck.
It went frenzy as it knew that it was without salvation from now on, which made it easier for Amon to kill this strong yet not so fast Kerchak Gorilla King.
———-
Restoring his energy to the max, Amon began picking out the Blood Racing Peaches. He dared not consume them lest he drowns in his own blood.
The Blood Racing Peaches refined the blood and thus improving one’s body and immune system, not to talk about strength, but it needed to be refined into Blood Racing Pills before that.
Filling his bag with around twelve of those fruits which had the size of a fist, Amon began to bandage himself.
This fight didn’t injure him but he had some bruises which he needed to take care of just in case.
Finishing with himself he enjoyed the beautiful view from the high tree for half an hour and then started climbing down, it was time to head to the cave he conquered from the wolves.
