Rise Of Destruction - Chapter 29
Getting inside the cave Amon found that it was quite spacy.
Stands with weapons, spears, swords, axes. Other stands with armours, helmets, arm and leg guards and other defensive equipment like shields.
Everything was giving an aura of a peak treasure at the Elementary Realm!
Amon’s attention was on a green spear which was so breathtakingly beautiful and radiated aura at the peak of his realm.
Just as he was about to touch the spear, a voice was heard.
“You’re not worthy of that spear… you are sick and weak, possessing no power to display its full potential…” on the entrance a man who seemed to be in his forties said.
His hair was short and white with some green clusters, the eyes he stared at Amon were green and motionless.
‘I didn’t even hear him enter…he knows my condition?!?’ Amon was shocked but he did not reveal a shocked expression and was only staring at the man.
“I am indeed a bit sick elder but I will be okay after a…” Amon halted his speech as he saw that the man manifested a green spear with his energy, by using the skill from the Scorching Cave’s bonfire.
The spear was detailed not like the weapons which the other disciples in the cave manifested. This man was good at it and in the next moment, he appeared in front of Amon, gently stabbing.
Amon quickly pulled out Scorchmourne to block the incoming spear stab, and as soon as the energy materialised spear and Scorchmourne met, Amon felt an exploding force which sent him flying away at a good speed!
‘Bang…’
Amon crashed into a door and went through it. The next thing he crashed into was a wall.
There was a staircase which leads downwards but Amon didn’t pay attention to it. What he paid attention to was Scorchmourne.
It was a good sword that weighed around 160 kilograms after Amon modified its weight yet now it was simply broken, what remained was only a handle!
‘Cough….’
The man’s body flashed and he appeared next to Amon, who already made a blocking move with his hands.
A kick and guard met, Amon was sent flying in the hole which was in the spiral staircase.
Looking at the man, Amon materialised a blue spear too, but he wasn’t that good. The spear was put to use by Amon as he inserted it into the walls, falling at the bottom safely.
‘Blue fire energy…huh’ after thinking this, the man’s body flashed again and this time he was behind Amon.
Feeling someone behind him, Amon turned around and after he saw who it was, started running.
‘That’s probably the sect leader…’
“Stop.”
Amon stopped. This man was too strong and he knew he couldn’t escape even if he wasn’t ill. Amon had many questions he wanted to ask, for example, ‘Why are you beating me?’ but he was afraid to ask lest he gets hit again.
Looking at the man, Amon observed the place he was in. Fiery lights were everywhere and there was a small lava lake with a few black stones in it which didn’t seem to melt.
Above the lake, a ball of flames was burning, the heat it was radiating was massive that Amon didn’t know he was sweating and his robe was burning on the edges.
“You’re Amonelius who was brought by Red Lei and is about to fight Valeera?” asked the man.
“Yes, it’s me, Amon,” said Amon, not forgetting to use a harder tone when saying his name.
“I didn’t expect you to get sick so soon, Amonelius. It seems you’ve been dancing a lot.” said the man while smiling.
Seeing Amon’s shocked expression which he couldn’t conceal this time, he continued: “It’s normal for me to know. This is my island. Did you really expect not to face any consequences by training the prototype?”
Patting himself in order to shut his burning robe, Amon began explaining himself. “I did act foolishly, there is nothing free without consequences and this was too good to be true.”
He indeed realised that he was a fool for ignoring the facts. They were a bit too good to be true.
“Basically, you’ve started ruining your body. The real dance is at the ‘Sun and Moon Gazing Sword Temple. It seems someone made a prototype a long time ago and it has found a place on my island…”
“So you are Sect Leader. Forgive my ignorance but is there a way for me to heal?” asked Amon.
“Catch and eat.” said the man as he threw a glassy ball towards Amon.
Amon directly put the ball in his mouth and swallowed. A burning sensation started spreading from his belly, as he stopped feeling any pain.
“The pill in my hand is your cure…come and take it with your blue arsenal…” as the man said that he revealed a red pill in his left hand while holding a green energy spear in his right one.
‘So that’s not the cure…’ thought Amon as he materialised a spear and a shield from his energy. He didn’t use a sword since the only techniques he knew were from the [Dance of Gan Jiang and Mo Ye] which were ruining his body.
Not standing on ceremony Amon fiercely charged to fight the Sect Leader of the Scorching Battle Sect.
The sect leader dodged a stab and returned with a stab of his own which Amon blocked with the shield.
Amon knew that his energy equipment would be broken just by one touch but surprisingly the Sect Leader had lowered his strength.
Amon was only attacking while blocking some stabs which would push him back by two steps. He was going frenzy yet the Sect Leader seemed calm as if it was nothing.
“It’s my turn, Amonelius.” as he said that, the sect leader grasped his spear with two hands and stepped forward.
Amon felt unimaginable pressure and the leader wasn’t even using his real cultivation. Blocking one hit, Amon’s shield was broken and he backed by 4 steps.
‘He’s really gonna kill me…’ thought Amon as he inserted all his energy in the blue spear and prepared to clash with the Sect Leader.
