- Chapter 739: You Have No Idea Whom You Are Talking To
Damien was about to act when he paused to listen to what these guys were talking about,
“She is quite the tough one, isn’t she? She took at least ten punches from me. What about you?”
“I lost count. These ghouls are only tough because of how they defiled our world, making it suit them. But it seems simply punching her won’t make her talk. How about we start cutting off her fingers one by one. Even if she is a ghoul she is a woman after all and all women care about how they look. Who knows some ghoul bastards back home might care about how she looks when they fuck her. Not even a dog would pay attention to her once we make her look like a real monster, haha,” The man laughed sadistically as he took out a sharp blade.
“Unghh!” The woman’s muffled growl echoed as she fiercely shook her body as if to try and break those restraints.
“Haha, there she is. So which one do you want to lose, ghoul bitch?” The man asked as he licked his blade.
‘I have to act now,’ Damien said as his eyes focused.
Fortunately, Damien had already sensed their ethereal aura and found out that their cultivation was at the Higher Levels of the Profound Ethereal Realm. For him, they weren’t weak, but at the same time, it wasn’t impossible for him to kill them.
Damien didn’t know his aunt’s disciple personally, but ever since he came here, the only one who saved him from dying and gave him warmth was his aunt…the only living family member he had.
The last thing he would want was to let something happen to her disciple, whom she seemed to care about a lot.
“Kalypso, now!” Damien called out in his mind as his aura suddenly surged like a volcano and didn’t even waste a split second as he used his Mirage of Myriad Phantasms to move as fast as lightning to get behind one of the men.
At the same time, Kalypso had already assumed her Crimson Death form and manifested in his hand, her dark, deathly aura appearing as ominous as ever.
“Huh?” The man who was having fun punching this ghoul woman with his friend had his eyes widened when he felt something puncturing his chest
“Hodor!!” The other man shouted in shock as he saw his friend suddenly getting stabbed by some stranger who was a human!
But this human’s eyes were jet-black, and his aura was cold and chilling…something that no human should ever have. This made him realize that this was just a ghoul masquerading as a human and powered his glove as he charged at him, “You freak! Die!!”
Damien had already seen how powerful this glove could be, and using his extraordinary speed, he dodged it easily and slashed at his neck.
“Hrkkk!!” The man clutched his neck as blood gushed out like a fountain. Since his face was covered by a mask, nobody could see his dying expression as he succumbed to the ground.
The ghoul woman who was tied up had a look of confusion and wariness as she saw this human take down two men of his own kind.
But what caught her attention more was the dark nethereal-like aura emanating from his body. How could a human project such an aura? This cannot be possible! Maybe it was a ghoul disguised as a human.
“Phew…that went down easier than I thought,” Damien mumbled as he cleaned the blood off his Crimson Death since he didn’t want Kalypso to feel uncomfortable by having their blood on her.
“They went down easier than you expected because the atmosphere in this side of the world favors you. The nethereal aura is stronger and makes you stronger in turn,” Luna explained.
Damien could guess this was the reason and then turned towards the restrained woman who was looking at him with a wary look. He stopped using Undying Wrath as his aura returned to normal, and anybody who sensed his current aura would think that he was just a human.
This sudden change in his aura made the woman feel even warier since she couldn’t sense any nethereal aura from his body. This could only mean that he only possessed ethereal energy!
Damien had no idea of the thoughts going through her mind as he removed the seal from her mouth, revealing her luscious, dove gray lips.
He saw her staring at him strongly and said, “No need to look at me like that. I am here to help you. But first, do you mind confirming your identity?”
Damien was 95% sure he got the right girl, but he still had to make sure just to be safe.
“You…What are you? Who sent you?” The woman asked as she spat some blood out that was stuck in her mouth.
Damien could sense her distrust and how she wasn’t even asking him to free her first. If it was any ordinary woman, the first thing they would ask would be to free them without even thinking about anything else.
But this woman was calm and collected despite getting tortured and tied up. He had to admit…his aunt’s disciple was made of a different material.
Still, he crossed his arms and said, “You still didn’t answer my question. But you know what? Let my aunt confirm things for herself,” Damien said as he crushed the black oval stone Akira had given him. Since he found her disciple, he didn’t want his aunt to waste her time dealing with anybody else.
“Your aunt?” The woman furrowed her brows and then said in a sharp tone, “You have no idea whom you are talking to.”
“Yea, yea. I know you are capable enough, but since you don’t seem to want to introduce yourself, why don’t you tell me why these two men kidnapped you? We can at least discuss that till my aunt gets here,” Damien said since he was really curious how humans were involved if that Daemon Lord named Larmun said some random Daemons kidnapped her.
“I am not telling you anything until I find out who you are first!” The woman said with a sharp glint in her eyes as she suddenly broke free off the chains that were restraining her hands, making Damien’s brows raise.
