Rise of The Anti God - Chapter 740: I Will Skin You Alive!
Damien quickly put up his hands as this woman suddenly lunged toward him, trying to pin him down.
He didn’t expect her to break free all of a sudden and immediately activated his Undying Wrath as he wrapped his arms around her waist and tried to pin her down first.
*Thud!*
The woman gritted her teeth as Damien pinned her to the ground and punched his face.
Damien had his hands tied and could only watch as he got punched, making him feel like she loosened one of his teeth.
“Ugh! Stay still, will you?!”
“Get off!” The woman was surprised that he wasn’t staggered by her punch, while Damien was surprised as well, not expecting her to be so strong. He could see that her cultivation was sealed, and she could only use her physical strength for now.
He was glad his body was stronger than he expected to take her punch since her cultivation level must be at least at the Noble Nethereal Realm!
She tried to punch him again with a rageful look, but Damien expected it as he used his body to keep her pinned down while using his hands to lock her arms, “That’s enough! Fighting me won’t gain you anything.”
“You stink just like a human! Get off unless you want me to skin you alive!” The woman said with a ruthless glint in her eyes. But even if she called him a human, she was yet again confused by his cold, soul-chilling aura. How could a human possess such aura? This was the first time she was witnessing such a thing.
“Is that what you usually do when you don’t know when to cooperate?” Damien asked as he pinned her arms to the side, making her expression contort even more in anger, his face just inches away from hers. He could see that she didn’t like getting touched by humans and wondered if this had got to do with the bad blood between ghouls and humans.
But it wasn’t easy to restrain her. He had to keep up his Undying Wrath skill just to barely suppress her physically. What happens when he runs out of steam or if she manages to unseal her cultivation?
Damien was already wishing his aunt would get here faster to talk sense into this woman.
Seeing that she couldn’t get this human off her for the time being, she asked with a frown, “What do you want? What kind of ploy do you have by killing your own people?”
Damien tilted his head as he asked, “Ploy? I told you…My aunt sent me to save you. You are Akira’s disciple, aren’t you?”
The moment she heard Akira’s name, she stopped struggling as she looked at him. But then her expression turned into displeasure as she coldly stared at him, “You dare use my Master’s name with your lowly human tongue and call yourself her nephew? Who do you think you are trying to fool? I will have your head on a pike just for besmirching her name.”
Damien didn’t feel offended and softly chuckled as he briefly glanced at himself and said, “I know you won’t believe me because of how I look. But I am sure you would believe it if she personally told you, right?”
He could see that this woman was loyal to his aunt, and that was why he was willing to put up with her.
“Then where is she?!” She asked with a vexed look and added, “You are just lying and buying time till your human friends get here, isn’t it?”
But suddenly, Damien sealed her mouth as he gestured at her to keep quiet while warily looking towards the side. The woman glared at him but then, seeing his serious expression, she turned to the side to see a large shadow closing in on them.
“Hodor, Lorus, where the hell are you two? We have orders to bring that woman back to ba—” A tall man with a stocky build was wearing a dark red metallic suit that was connected to his mask as well, which had translucent eyepieces.
His figure was intimidating, and the dark red metallic suit only increased the intimidating factor of his presence.
But he stopped talking as he froze upon seeing two dead bodies on the ground. He immediately took out a large saber in his hand as he growled, “Fucking ghouls. Come out if you dare.”
Damien was circulating his anti-god energy throughout his entire system to make sure this man couldn’t sense him. He had dragged this woman along with him to a hidden corner right before this man entered and was covering her mouth to make sure she didn’t give away any sound.
He could see that this man was at least at the Noble Ethereal Realm and not someone he could take on alone. He was hoping his aunt would get here faster, but time just seemed to pass like a snail.
He wondered if this man was wearing a suit to not get weakened under this atmosphere where nethereal energy’s presence was strong.
“Mhmmppf!” The woman started making muffled noises, making Damien stare at her angrily, indirectly telling her to shut up. He had no idea why this woman couldn’t read the situation.
Fortunately, Damien was using his aura to envelop her as well as to hide her presence as best as possible.
But what he felt off was why this man was still lingering around here after seeing his friends die? Shouldn’t he assume that the ghoul woman escaped and go after her outside?
“There you are, motherfuckers!” The man roared as he suddenly swung his saber at the wall behind him.
Damien’s eyes widened as he saw the blade coming right down at him and quickly activated Mirage of Myriad Phantasms to move as fast as lightning while dragging this woman along with him.
“Let go! I told you he would be able to find us,” The woman said in a disgruntled tone as she shook off Damien’s hand before shifting her gaze at the man in the suit before her.
