Rise of The Anti God - Chapter 742: Nobody Helps A Stranger For Nothing
The ghoul woman simply put forward her palm as she caught the man’s metal first before it could strike her face. And to Damien’s astonishment, her dainty hand managed to stop his heavy metal fist while only moving a single inch backward.
Seeing her stop an attack from a man twice her size and a level stronger than her just seemed a bit surreal.
And before he knew it, dark blue flames blazed from her palm, which began to heat up the man’s metal fist, making it appear red hot.
“Argh!!” The man howled as he stumbled back while holding his wrist. It seemed like she actually managed to hurt him despite fortifying himself so well.
If one could see his face behind his mask, they would see his eyes shaking in shock. He was no ordinary cultivator and had practiced a special cultivation art that would allow him to deal with fire without letting it cause any serious injury to him.
But the moment her flames touched his suit, the fiery heat seeped into his suit and into his body. How come his metal suit couldn’t even hold back her flames in the slightest?
However, Damien wasn’t surprised. That guy was covered in metal. Was he dumb to not know that his metal suit would turn into an oven if she heats up his suit with her flames?
And seeing those dark blue flames that gave off a devilish aura, especially how they seemed so wild and hot, Damien could guess they were no ordinary flames. He could feel the scorching heat from her flames, and for some reason, he felt his ethereal reserves diminishing, making him wonder if this had anything to do with the heat from her flames.
“Too weak!” The woman coldly said as she moved her arms together to unleash a wall of dark blue flames that blazed from the ground and struck the man, blasting him away till his back crashed against the rocky walls and collapsed on the ground.
The woman charged forward, not even letting him catch his breath. The man was about to try and get up when she punched his metallic mask with her blazing fist with a rageful expression, “Burn in hell!”
She didn’t stop as she kept dishing out severe punches to his face, again and again, while sitting atop him. She then clutched his mask with her hand as her dark blue flames blazed even more wildly.
Damien looked on with a shocked expression as he saw this one-sided domination. The man was howling in pain, helplessly fumbling with his limbs to get her off him, but she was using her own body to lock down his entire body.
Damien was puzzled, wondering why the man’s ethereal aura was rapidly getting weaker. Shouldn’t one’s ethereal aura become even more strong in desperate situations, especially one which involves life and death?
When pushed to a corner, even an animal would bring out their wildest instincts to protect itself; then why did it seem like this man was slowly giving up?
No…Damien observed closely and realized that it was not that the man was giving up, but her flames were killing him slowly, not only physically but also by burning up his ethereal reserves, weakening him before he could get the chance to fight back.
What kind of flames did she have to burn away someone’s ethereal energy like that? This was the first time Damien was seeing something like this.
Even if his metal suit seemed to work against him in this situation, he could have still stood a chance if not for her the unique ability of her flames to deplete his ethereal energy.
But he had to admit this woman was quite vicious, seeing her cook him in his own metal suit. His entire suit was glowing red hot as the metal slowly began to melt and drip down.
And since her blazing hand was clutching his face, she was melting his face together with his metal mask.
*Plutchk!*
Her hand melted the man’s head entirely as it became a red hot mess of liquid, making the man’s body stop trembling, and his limbs also stopped flailing as they fell lifeless.
The inside of the cave was so hot from her aura, making Damien feel like he was standing in the middle of a lava lake.
She wasn’t even trying, and yet her aura was making Damien sweat. He could only wonder how insane it would be if she became serious.
He slowly came out and said lightly, “You really did a number on that big guy.”
But his eyes widened when the woman suddenly disappeared from her spot, and before he knew it, she was already standing before him, clutching his neck tightly, making him grimace.
Before he could even cough out a word, she lifted him up and pinned him against the stone walls of the cave, “What are you playing at here? Why did you help me?”
Damien couldn’t believe the attitude of this woman as he grabbed her wrist and said in a strained voice, “Woman…I just helped you…and is this what you do to your savior?”
“Nobody helps a stranger for nothing, especially not a human like you. Don’t insult my Master’s name by telling me you are her nephew. Tell me the real truth, or I will burn your ethereal core to a crisp,” The woman said, her tone carrying her complete seriousness.
Damien felt that things could get really bad, seeing how she might really kill him unless he convinced her. He could understand her distrust, and having no choice, he quickly took out the black amulet and showed it to her, “See this…Now do you…believe me?”
The moment the woman saw the amulet, she unconsciously loosened her grip over his neck and took a step back with a stupefied expression, “Impossible…How could you have that…”
Damien coughed and rubbed his neck as he said, “Nothing is impossible. Now…it’s your turn to answer my questions.”
