Rise of The Anti God - Chapter 773: First Important Mission
One week passed by, and it was quite a busy day for certain important people in the Blackthorn Station. An important meeting was going on at the headquarters of the station.
However, much to the surprise of others, four newcomers with a beauty that outshone the moons and stars were standing in the room as well.
But none of them questioned their presence after seeing their prowess personally. Each of them had unique abilities that could blow away even those considerably stronger than them.
Lily and Reva were feeling a bit strange after putting on their dark green suits. Usually, they were always comfortable wearing their gowns which they had gotten used to during battles as well.
However, these suits were quite tight and covered their bodies from neck to toe. If they put on their helmets, then they would be fully covered from head to toe.
Reva was feeling the most conscious about her suit since her big breasts were accentuated more because of this suit. As a princess with a divine bloodline, she found this embarrassing. She couldn’t help but imagine how Damien would have reacted if he had seen her in this suit. But then she wondered why she was thinking about his reaction.
Lily was more concerned about whether she would be able to adjust to this suit quick enough, though she did feel that this suit might help execute her sword moments very easily.
Yuria was humming a low, subtle tune, and it seemed like she took a liking to this suit with such a nice texture. She had always dreamed of wearing one in her past life but never got the chance. She wasn’t particularly fond of those elegant dresses she wore as a princess in this life.
Wearing this suit reminded her of the modern times in her past life. And other than that, she felt her combat efficiency would be higher when wearing suits like these.
Valentina’s rosy pink hair was gorgeously falling down the back of her suit while her tall figure continued to stand like a statue, her expression plain and her hands behind her back. It seemed like she didn’t really mind what she was wearing as long as gets to draw some blood.
But if one observed closely, one could see her fingers constantly clawing each other while her eyes were subtly twitching, her gaze appearing as if her mind was not in this world.
As someone who not only loved Damien more than anything, she also depended on him for the constant source of his delicious blood to keep her going.
And since Damien wasn’t beside her since they came to the Old World, she had been starving for a week.
Lily, Reva, and Yuria had noticed her mood swings over the past week and how depressed and miserable she seemed. They knew most of it had to do with Damien’s missing presence, which they could clearly relate to as well, but since she wasn’t feeding, it only made it worse.
They tried to offer their blood to her, but like a sad pet waiting for its master, Valentina refused and was adamant about drinking Damien’s blood only.
The three of them felt helpless. If Valentina was an ordinary cultivator, it wouldn’t matter if she didn’t eat even for a year. But since she had an ethereal blood seed, her cultivation progress and her ethereal strength wouldn’t be at their peak without feeding on blood.
Lily took a glance at her and was determined to convince her to feed before something happened to her. But right now, her focus was on the meeting going where a beautiful woman looking in her mid-forties was sitting. She had long braided black hair and was wearing a full-sleeved black uniform with a golden star symbol on her shoulders.
Anybody in this station would recognize her as their leader and the Station Master, Kena Lun. And standing beside her was a pretty young woman, looking in her late twenties, with neck-length hair and wearing a dark red suit with a golden star on her shoulder. Everyone knew her as their leader’s right-hand woman, Alex, who was also the 2nd highest-ranked in the station.
Lily, Valentina, Yuria, and Reva were now more familiar with Alex since she was the one personally training them.
The rest of the ones in the room mostly consisted of people in dark green suits like them and a few ones in dark red suits who were ranked higher than them.
“I don’t know if all of you heard the rumors, but there is bad news. We lost a part of the map that could have led us to the location of the ancient Death Ray,” Kena said with a grave look as others nodded with tense and angry expressions.
Lily raised her hand as Kena nodded, letting her speak, “I only heard the rumors but is this Death Ray a weapon that could potentially help us win the war against ghouls?” Living in this place for the past week, Lily came to know some things, especially the existence of a deadly, ancient weapon the entire humanity was hoping to retrieve to win the war.
Kena nodded with a firm gaze, “Precisely. But now that those ghouls have sabotaged a part of the map, they think they have crushed our hopes of having a future in this world. We also lost a number of good men even though they weren’t from our station.”
“So not all is lost?” Reva asked with a squint.
Kena shook her head, “Not yet. We still have two parts of the map, which equates to half of the map. But since the ghouls destroyed the 3rd part, we have to find the last and the fourth part before they can.”
“But even if we did find it, we still won’t have the complete map, right?” Yuria asked with a tilt of her head.
Kena narrowed her eyes as she subtly smiled, “Not necessarily. You all will know why later, but first, all the green ones, including you four, would be taking up the most important mission in your lives so far.”
