Rise of the Cosmic_Emperor - Chapter 843: Rematch in a Warped Arena.
Reyna shivered at the feel of his breath against her but she placed a hand on Hal’s chest and pushed him back or at least made to push him back while she leaned away.
“Are you so quickly forgetting the display she put on during that war at Gelread Valley? She has only stepped up her strength and brutality since then.” Reyna said to which Hal shrugged,
“So have I. Do you want to find out?” He asked.
“Yes, actually, yes I do. You owe me a rematch Afterall. Last time you had help and the battle was interrupted,” Reyna said and took a step away from Hal with her hands on her waist in the most dominant power pose she could muster and it held up very well.
She would not lie to herself or Hal for that matter by saying she had not thought of him after not seeing him (his real self sans the disguise) for more than two years.
Hal left an impression on her back then deliberately or not and having him standing in front of her brought all of it to the forefront and sure, some of those feelings were sexual but a larger portion was combative.
Hal paused and then nodded,
“Very well,” he said and drew a circle around himself and Reyna before expanding that space to the size of a Colosseum which pushed the other contents of the room away from their Impromptu arena.
Hal then added reality warping to indeed make it into an arena with Reyna staring at it happening with widened eyes of wonder.
“Incredible” she mumbled. The mighty heights that Hal had reached since their last encounter filled Reyna with trepidation but even then, she conjured a spear with fire that was her natural attuned element while she took on her hybrid dragon form which came with wings that granted her flight that her cultivation had so far not allowed.
Hal sensed Reyna’s cultivation immediately and he reduced his pressure/strength to match her which also brought about a change in his eyes which went from their Gold-specked blue to the Doxon blue they used to be.
Everything about Hal’s strength was reduced to match Reyna’s exactly and that included his Devil Bloodline while he put off his Infinite Sovereign Bloodline.
Reyna could tell he was reducing his strength and as he did, she smiled sadly,
“Damn, you’re out of reach,” she said.
She was not disappointed in herself as she had done as well as she possibly could. She was aware that there was bound to be so much at play for Hal and his monstrous boosts in strength and his pace of development were not the type that anyone in the Dragon Clan could replicate no matter the talent they possessed.
That said, she still saw Hal as being a member of her generation, with her being older, and could not help but feel left behind.
Anyway, she put that all aside as she took on an attacking stance with her flaming spear in hand and charged at Hal who welcomed her speedy dash and blocked her spear with his sword Cosmic Armament.
The force resulting from their weapons clashing forced them apart but Reyna took to the air immediately to strike at Hal with her spear from above.
Hal leaped up and Devil wings spread from his back to allow him to fly as he was unable to do with his reduced cultivation.
When his sword met Reyna’s flaming spear this time though, the spear dispersed into individual tongues of flames that went around Hal’s sword to then clump together and attack him.
*BOOM!*
The explosion knocked Hal back and he smacked into the Array boundary that he had erected around his warped Arena.
Hal had just made contact with the array boundary that Reyna followed up with a strike of her draconic-clawed feet that Hal ducked down to avoid.
*BANG!* was the sound Reyna’s leg made with the array and suddenly, Hal was at her side punching the side of her scaled face,
*BAM!*
The punch sent Reyna towards an opposing Array boundary wall but Hal was already there punching her back or at least he tried to punch her only to have his hand grabbed by Reyna who had reached back to hold on right when the blow should have made contact.
Reyna released the hold of one of her hands for barely a second just to turn around to face Hal and knee him in the stomach before tossing him into the air to be struck by multiple flame attacks she launched at him.
*BOOOOOOM!!!*
The burst of flames was incredible and so was the image of Hal emerging from the cluster with a punch extended but, of course, Reyna was not going to allow contact.
She withdrew a weird artifact from her spatial ring and swung it at Hal’s face. The Artifact was a weapon that had a massive disc fitted to a long staff-like pole.
It was the disc that Reyna swung at Hal but he dashed away and evaded it only to appear behind Reyna and blast her with a cosmic attack.
Reyna had an excited smile on her face and moved swifter than Hal would have expected of her to block the attack with the disc part of her weapon artifact.
The disc absorbed the attack and Reyna imbued it with her cosmic energy as well as her signature flames before sending it right back at Hal at a speed that Hal, at his current reduced level of strength, could not possibly evade so Hal did not try.
Rather he combatted the regurgitated attack with one of his own imbued with Devil energy. The two met and canceled each other out in an incredible explosion, out of which, came Reyna with a connecting kick to the side of Hal’s head.
Knocked to the side and still regaining his bearing, Hal was at the mercy of Reyna’s following consecutive blows all of which she delivered with a grin, and then, there was an opening that Hal did not hesitate to take.
*BAM!*
A single blow packing the combined impact of cultivation and Devilish might and rocked Reyna to the core with every cell in her body reacting to the blow and yet, Reyna accepted the blow with a smile.
“Incredible…” she said with bright eyes filled with enjoyment just as a bright glow spread from her and struck Hal through his fist still on her body.
The light dove right into Hal’s body and went right for his Devil bloodline which it shut down under the tag of purifying the overwhelming darkness.
The Ordinance of Light… Reyna’s discovered Ordinance within the Monument of Ordinances and this was the first time she would use it since her duel with Hal began.
The light spread purification into Reyna as well and helped her recover a lot from the damage that Hal’s devil energy had done to her and with her temporarily shutting down his bloodline, she proceeded to take advantage and deliver a beatdown.
*BAM!*
*BAM!*
*BAM!*
Eventually, what she had done to Hal’s bloodline came to an end and Hal recovered his bloodline abilities after which he caught a blow of hers before it could make contact but he did not strike Reyna. Rather he took her down memory lane by giving her a familiar taste of {Erogenous Touch}.
“Mnnmhh” Reyna could only help but moan at the pleasuring feeling while her mind went immediately back to the first time she had fought against Hal and he had grabbed her ankle to do something similar.
Back then, she had been confused by the feeling and rejected it but this time, she leaned into it as Hal held on to her fist and pulled her against his body while never letting up with his use of {Erogenous Touch}.
“Reyna! Reyna!”
The sound of her name being urgently called by a familiar female voice seemed so far away to Reyna and that was partly because she was lost in the feel of Hal’s touch as well as lost in his incredible eyes but was mostly because, thanks to Hal’s space and reality warp, the door was much too far away.
The door opened as Reyna’s visitor decided to look in for her sister who she was convinced was slacking off in the room.
The moment Addilyn Gord stepped a foot into the room, Reality warped and she was brought into the middle of the strange Arena with her peak Transcendent Beast wings keeping her in the air.
Her eyes quickly fell on her sister in the arms of a stranger. A stranger she almost recognized.
“What the hell is this?” Addilyn asked after taking a second to blink and really observe the strange situation of the room she had entered many times before and had never looked like this.
Cosmic energy flowed from her in the form of water which was her naturally attuned element and she coiled the water around Reyna and used it to pull her away from the stranger’s hold.
Just looking at the stranger’s incredibly and impossibly perfect face made Addilyn immediately believe he was not to be trusted.
It was more about his face than the large Devil wings that were keeping him flying.
“Who are you and why are you here?” she asked with her very usual frown, barring certain meetings and occasions.
Hal’s Devil wings flapped and he moved closer to Addilyn who had uncoiled her water whip from around Reyna.
“Hello, my name is Hal, you might remember me as Havi,” Hal said with his hand stretched for a shake.
Addilyn looked from Hal’s hand to his face and then back before she fired an attack, thick with her corrosive Darkness Element, against his chest in the most aggressive manner possible.
“BANG!!!*
