Rise of the Cosmic_Emperor - Chapter 850: Whatever You Want Of Me...
“Tanya! What do you think you’re doing?” a Haron Elder asked with wide eyes of surprise which was mirrored by all others in the hall although Tanya’s accusation was self-explanatory.
The Elders as well as the many others had great respect for Makena whose prophecies had served them well over the years and to see her so flippantly accused on what was seemingly a whim was worthy of an outburst.
That said, the outburst was ignored by Tanya who had her eyes locked on Makena who had slid to the ground and quickly regained her balance.
Makena did not look upset at having been attacked by Tanya. Rather she appeared accepting of the fact that the jig was up.
“I can’t believe it took you so long. I mean, the moment you went all crazy with power and going against Hal, I thought for sure I was going to be picked out immediately” Makena said and brushed her clothes with nonchalance as was expected of a Cosmic Saint of her caliber.
An impactful hit against a wall could not possibly cripple her. It would take much more than that and much more than that was what Tanya was going to give.
However before Tanya could make a move as she clearly wanted to do, Green chains surged from Amador still seated comfortably on his Throne.
The chains wound around Makena and caused her to float towers the feet of the stairs beside Tanya who had swiveled along to keep staring at Makena with vindication and a clear intention of killing the Traitor.
“For how long?” Amador asked in a calm tone but even then it was still chilling to hear.
Makena appeared unbothered by the situation or the tone of the Emperor’s words as she answered,
“Two years to you but a hundred and one years to me” as she spoke, she warped reality as well as used her cultivation to break free of the chains.
The moment the chains broke off, a portal appeared behind Makena and she aimed to make her escape. This was the end of her time within the Emperor’s court and she was well aware of the dangers should she stay any longer than she should.
However, in the split second that the portal opened, Amador clenched his fist and a wave of chaotic force spread all about the throne room to close off the portal before Makena could step through it.
“You don’t seriously think I will let you leave, do you?” Amador asked as Makena’s eyes widened slightly at the realization that she could not access the Harem space portal again.
Whatever the Emperor had done had a lasting effect and prevented any spatial warping and in fact, when Makena tried to warp reality, she found that she could not. Her grip on the Abstract Ordinance had become too chaotic to allow her to properly harness it.
Makena was trapped and she knew it.
Tanya’s face slowly split into a wide grin and she began to glow with the energy from her Monument gem and she was not the only one preparing to attack Makena.
To everyone in the Throne room, the Emperor had practically given an informal order to make sure Makena did not get away and of course, they were all going to take that order seriously.
Makena took slow steps back but she could not get far and in all honesty, she was not trying to…
*HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS*
Everyone in the Throne room heard that sound but before any of them could think to react a massive creature crashed through the ceiling of the Throne room to land on the ground.
As soon as Sassy’s large serpentine body hit the ground, she spat out a toxic arrow into one of the Elders in the hall. The arrow went through successfully and the Elder was instantly tinged green.
Being a cosmic Saint, the struck Elder had a split second to react and get rid of the toxin but Sassy’s power was much too great for him to have any success at survival.
He exploded into the mist of Sassy’s toxic sacrifice and at least three Elders were affected before the others reacted and got themselves to safety.
Of the three Elders that were affected, one died instantly and the other two were saved by a wave of the Emperor’s hand which rid them of their toxins.
Tanya immediately unleashed an attack at Sassy but with a swift swipe of her tail (at a speed that was mind-boggling on account of her size) she smacked it aside and spat out yet another toxic Arrow at Tanya who did not take the chance to combat it and rather opened up a strange looking portal through which the arrow flew.
Sassy wrapped Makena with her tail with the obvious intention to take off and leave the Palace behind.
Sassy had been authorized to facilitate Makena’s escape and not to engage in a long-winded battle.
Besides, Makena needed to regroup at her Silver Moon sect which was surely going to be Tanya’s next point of attack.
In her bid to escape with Makena, Sassy fought Tanya with the seriousness of one aiming at victory and credit to Tanya, she proved a worthy opponent.
As she fought Tanya, Sassy of course took to cause as much damage to the Throne room as she could with her gigantic body especially due to the attacks she was getting from the Elders all around.
Many of them had gotten too close to her and were promptly struck with her toxic attacks which the Emperor helped them get rid of and seeing as the Emperor would keep interfering and making her attacks useless, Tanya added a kick into her toxic attacks and when Amador got rid of the life-threatening aspect, the attacked members of the court would still get paralyzed and taken out of the equation.
Large as Sassy was, she was not a particularly easy target, and her grace shone through.
Anyway, she had finally prepared a counter for the lockdown that the Emperor had done to the opening of the Harem space portal and the counter involved using Hal’s infinity to cancel the effects of whatever it was the Emperor was using.
When she eventually initiated this counter of hers, Amador vanished to reappear in front of his daughter who he used one arm to push back as he harnessed chaotic energy that he used to amplify his bloodline energy to not only shut down Sassy’s attempt to reopen the portal but also strike at her to bring about her death.
Sassy created a shield of her toxins to shield herself but the force of the Emperor’s attack pushed her back and right through the wall of the throne and into the Imperial Palace proper.
As she got pushed back, Sassy transformed into her human form with her body covered in her scales and one hand closed on Makena’s hand.
“Strong!” Sassy groaned with her other hand closed over her side where a large gash had been cut by Amador’s attack.
Even though Sassy had escaped, she had not escaped scot-free. Her wound healed the second after she made her statement just as Amador floated to the outside.
“You shall not leave,” Amador said with his eyes, especially on Makena who he felt betrayed by.
“Says who?” Sassy asked actually meaning for the question to be rhetorical but she got an answer as Amador went into a power-up mode.
“Says ME!” Amador said and he let out a blast of cultivational pressure mixed with the chaotic energy he was wielding but as he did, Sassy stretched her hand to produce a seal she had been given by Hal.
She timed it right and used the seal right at the moment Amador had fully reached the height of his power-up and prepared to make a deceive strike.
She crushed the seal and out of it came a series of phrases written in Hal’s created language and packing the might of the Infinite Sovereign.
The phrases struck Amador and instantly messed with his equilibrium in regards to t energy he was harnessing.
His power-up came to a stop and the portal-banning move that had been in effect around him stopped and gave Sassy the time needed to drag Makena with her through a Portal into the Harem space.
Amador dispelled the effects of the phrases on him as though it was nothing and looked over at Tanya,
“You know what to do,” he said to his daughter before he vanished from the scene.
Tanya furrowed her brows as she indeed knew what to do. She immediately went off to rally Harons with which she would go to war against the Silver Moon sect and likely the entire Dreg Duchy by extension.
…
Dystopian Continent…
The Serpent Tribe…
While the incident at the Imperial Palace went on, Hal arrived at the fourth ruler of the Dystopian Continent to complete his required sect.
The Serpent Tribe had been informed of the death of Dorgroth the Dystopian Dragon King as well as a change in structure already in place at the Dragon Clan and it was during the meeting in which they discussed these events that Hal visited. Simply walking past the guards who were all too frozen by his incredible pressure to attempt to stop him.
Hal went through the large doors into the hall in which Serpent Chief Orlon was meeting with the members of his Court and there Hal interrupted the ongoing conversation to announce without any introductions,
“Orlon, your services are required and you can either give it a willingly…” Hal began and was interrupted by Orlon before he could complete his sentence,
“Oh, I give it willingly. Whatever you want of me, you can have,”
