Rise Of The Hoarder - Chapter 353 Powerlessness
“My name is Lemuel.” The one coated with blue light spoke first.
“My name is Uriel.” The yellow one followed.
“My name is Raphael.” The final one who brimmed with red stated.
Their eyes were all fixated on me—filled with nothing but condescending arrogance.
It was no different from how a human would look at an ant.
No, it was even worse.
“To think you were the one who beat Sariel. Unthinkable…” Lemuel, the blue Angel spoke.
Even as I heard them speak, I could rid myself of my body’s trembling.
Once again confronted with forces behind my capabilities, I had no choice but to rely on my Trump Card.
‘[Subspace]!’
A bright smile appeared on my face as I stared at my targets—hoping they would get absorbed into my special storage space.
Unfortunately… things didn’t go as planned!
“It’s useless.” Uriel stared, smiling a little as he stared at me.
It was as though he was looking at me with both eyes of pity and mockery.
Could it have been both?
“Your petty life ends now, Jeremy Lewis.” The one called Raphael uttered.
Instantly, they stretched out their hands at me, preparing blasts that would be enough to decimate the area once again.
This time, I could feel their energies gathering—focusing on me.
“Shi—!!!”
Before I could think, the blast approached.
It may have been foolish of me, but I attempted to absorb everything through the use of [Subspace].
Nil!
‘I-its not working—?!’
And so, the blast cascaded upon me, sending a reverberating echo traveling a great distance.
>BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!<
The entire area was once again brought into devastation.
“Huff… Huff…” I came out of the pillars of smoke.
Fortunately, I used up a great deal of my Skills and multiple Items to defend myself.
Unfortunately, the Items expired, and my Skills were in the red.
If I took a couple more hits like this, I was a goner.
“Why are you people doing this?” I growled hatefully, glaring at my adversaries.
They were so comfortable in their unreachable height, enjoying every moment of my humiliation.
“Why do we have to converse with the likes of you? Die.”
Another surge of phenomenal energy rained down.

“Tch!”
This time, I decided to dodge—teleporting far from the blast area.
“Oh? We can’t have that, can we?”
>BZZZZZTTTZZZ<
[SYSTEM ERROR]
My eyes bulged as I saw this.
A red alert showed right in front of me, and… my Teleport Skill wouldn’t work!
“N—no…!!!”
Once again, I was forced to receive the blasts.
Even though I felt like the beings above me weren’t even trying, the damage I was receiving—even with max defense—made it seem like I was fighting a life and death battle with someone.
It was as simple as an ant struggling against three grown men who were merely toying with it.
I could think of no way out!
Absolutely nothing came to mind.
Even when I was equipped with my best gear—having multiple effects and stacked Stats, nothing seemed to be effective.
‘Shit… SHIT!’
I was fucking Level 800! How was I losing like a Level 1 Noob?
This wasn’t even a fight. It was as simple as a beatdown.
“[Subspace] do something! (G) Factor do something!”
It was pathetic of me, but I cried with all I had, trying as much as possible to live a second longer.
>BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!<
Desperation played on my face, and a crazy idea sparked in my head.
‘Physical contact could work!’
Even if I couldn’t utilize long-range absorption, what if I could reach them?
It could actually work!
‘I’m Level 800! It should be possible for me!’
Perhaps it was simply because I was trying to find a way to survive, but I believed that naive logic and abandoned defense.
A lot of my defensive items had been rendered to nothing thanks to their attacks.
If I didn’t strike, it would only take a short while before I died.
‘I have lots of Skills and Titles! It’s time to put it to good use!’ I glared at them, gritting my teeth.
Using [Subspace], I summoned several of my arms and prepared myself for my final struggle.
Whether or not I could actually win depended on this next move.
‘I’ll pump myself to the breaking point with all my Skills and Titles. My Items also had Buff effects. If I combined everything, then perhaps I could stand a—’
“Break.”
>KRANAGGGG!!!<
Just one word… it only took one word, and all my items shattered to pieces.

“Nullify.”
All my Skills—their Buff effects and additional abilities—suddenly froze.
I could no longer access them.
“Fade.”
My Titles became obsolete in an instant.
“… E—eh…?”
My body froze, unable to move a single muscle.

[It Will Take Some Time To Be Corrected]
[Apologies For The Inconvenience]
“….”
I couldn’t utter a single word.
Was I embarrassed? YES!
Was I frightened? YES!
What could I do anything about it? The answer was staring right in front of me.
Absolutely Nothing!
I was completely powerless.
“Do you understand now? There was never a chance from the start.”
My lips trembled.
My head hurt like crazy. I was searching deep within for any possibility.
Any solution at all!
“So, just accept your death.”
They stretched their hands out to launch another volley.
Clearly, without any buff from my Skills, Items, and Titles… I wouldn’t survive.
I didn’t even have access to my Gifted Profile at this point.
This was the true definition of powerlessness.
As I wallowed in despondency, [Subspace] reacted to my plea.
[Automatic Summon Activated]
Instantly, all my subordinates appeared. Both elite and mobs.
In their hundreds of thousands, they swarmed the area.
Far beyond what my eye could see, I witnessed my army gather.
I had kept so many Demons and Summons within my special Space, and now they had finally come to my aid.
I saw Niggaruth, Legion, Helios, and several others gather around me.
They flashed me their loyal gaze and glared at the enemy.
Somewhere deep within myself, I was happy to have so much backup.
However, I knew… the fate that awaited all of them.
