Rise of The Immortal Wraith - 22 Six Months
It had been six months since he sent Annah and Jennah on their mission, he had grown taller and stronger. He had reached tier three in his physique and agility only lacking a final step to break through for his intellect.
Many times over this half a year, his knights beyond the wall had been in danger requesting large amounts of power, either to slay their enemies or to heal from grievous wounds. He felt that Jennah had been heavily wounded and near death weeks ago, he had opened his full power to heal her, the power he could contain couldn’t compare to Grand wizard or Magus but he had for just an instant opened the connection to the energy of the world to ten percent.
Having flooded himself with all of that energy, he had healed Jennah quickly but only enough to keep her far enough away from deaths grasp. She healed in the following weeks and was currently heading back from their mission. He was worried about reports being intercepted if he sent them by his scouts, so he would need to wait for the report from Jenna and Annah until they came home.
Standing in the practice grounds, Salem stood facing two of his knights with a practice spear in his hands. Smiling he readied his stance, waiting for the fight to begin, the Knights ran towards him. He thrust towards the knight on his left, she sidestepped his blow, it was a feint. Lowering his body he swept the spear into the side of the knight on his right, she had barely blocked the blow with her sword and was sent rolling on the ground.
He felt a sting on his ribs, a kiss landed on his cheek, “You are getting better, master!” she giggled and danced away from him. Sighing he lowered his spear, he had taken to long to recover leaving his left side open, stepping forward he picked the knight up from the ground in a princess carry.
She kissed him sweetly and pouted, “Master don’t be so rough next time!”
Laughing aloud he took her to the baths, they washed off the dirt from their morning practice and went to get dressed. Staring at himself in the mirror he was excited, his body had started growing after his bloodline had awakened, and now he was only a couple inches shy of six feet tall. His body had filled out in a lean muscular fashion, which pleased him more than the thick muscles on most warriors.
Dressing in white robes accented by dark green cloth belt and bindings he looked himself over in the mirror while his knights fussed over his long silver hair. They had braided it along the sides and connected the braids in the back, smiling at the girls having fun he stood slowly and made his way to the smithy.
Inside the smithy, the twins were hard at work, teaching their apprentices about the metals and how some of them could be mixed to create new alloys which made the weapons stronger and was then amplified through magic to last for far longer in battle than a human-made weapon. This was their family’s trade, and how they could help protect the family in the future.
Watching from the side, he saw smiles and interest on the young faces of the children, he quietly walked to his weapons rack and pulled down the spear he was crafting for his own use. He placed it on his enchanters’ table and looked it over. It was longer than he was tall, not quite a long spear but it still had enough reach to push back an approaching enemy.
The spearhead was more like four blades on each side, nearly forming a pyramid, while the center was empty. He rubbed the silver spear with a clean cloth, adding the final touches to the runes while wrapping the handle in black leather bindings for the grip.
The final enchantments would allow him to change the length of the spear, though he could only slightly increase the length, he could decrease it to the size of a large mace should he need such a weapon.
Putting his new weapon away, he snuck by the children once again, making his way to his war room.He planned to read over any reports that may have come in the night or earlier that morning, looking over the reports he nodded in satisfaction, there was a wave of undead moving towards the city of Idos. It was almost double the size of the current wave that Koftas was facing, the lich lord must have read the false report of a Grand wizard coming to these cities within two years to purge the land of the undead.
The false rumor had been part of the system’s plan, once Idos came under siege he would open the pass allowing trade to begin. He was the only one with the means to create the obelisks and he could name any price for them, he had created two forts inside the tunnel, he decided to name them Ko and Id for the cities they would protect him from.
He had gone to the tunnel once a week to enchant the ceiling and walls, it would show the cycle of the days and night as if there was no barrier. You would be able to feel the suns mighty rays or the cool wind on a moonlit night.
Trees and grass had begun to grow quickly after he planted a very large obelisk similar to the one in his mansions grounds. Though this one reached the caverns ceiling hundred of yards from the ground, its roots already connected to the other obelisks so it could use the leftover energy to promote plant growth.
The city in the cavern would be hidden for at least another six months to a year, he would slowly move his family and any servants who wished to be a part his faction into the city during the next month. His undead had grown and was steadily being brought in and protecting his project, during this time he had encountered a few elite undead. Turning them was exceedingly harder than the mindless skeletons, they were just as strong as one of his knights while being self-aware made branding them take longer.
Luckily for him they only acted in pairs or even by themselves, being isolated this way gave him a chance to capture five of these elites to lead his massive amounts of troops. Thinking of his progress he wondered if there was anything in the systems abilities he could learn not that he was nearly tier three.
“System, is there any new abilities I can purchase?” waiting for a few moments before he heard that familiar voice. “Of course master Salem, I will compile a list for you to choose from though I would suggest a support ability that can grow, just like the in the previous selection I brought to you.”
A small list of abilities appeared in front of his eyes, looking over he noticed that the system had brought more supportive abilities to the top while the rest were concentrated at the bottom. He saw a few that were interesting but were not needed, he did however come across two new abilities one would be very useful while the other would take a while to use fully.
Paying fifty thousand (CP) each, he absorbed the energy into his body learning and expanding his knowledge.

His new <promote undead> would be the most useful ability at this moment and it had been on top of the list the system had provided him. It would allow him to sacrifice soul energy to an undead allowing it to form a consciousness, allowing him to create more captains for his knights to command. They were stretched thin commanding such a large horde, they would be unable to command such a large force by themselves.
He quickly made for his hidden city, ordering twenty-one hundred skeletons to the massive obelisk. There would be one hundred captains for each knight to command, placing his hand on the tree he connected to the massive amounts of soul energy. He then ordered an undead to him and followed the energy path of the <promote> ability.
After he began he felt the change to the skeleton, he also knew that the skeleton had just turned to dust because he got distracted. Opening his eyes he saw a pile of bone dust with robes about the ground. He knew it was because he was new to this ability, even knowing that he was about to spend the rest of the day figuring out how to not make a pile of dust. Letting out a sigh he spent the next two days in the city trying to promote his undead.
After washing off the last of the bone dust he went to put on a new set of clothes this time he chose the black and green, letting his knights dress him and play with his hair, he thought about the promotion process and how it had not gone as expected.
He hadn’t just promoted the undead to captains, they had become wraiths, it had turned out he misread the abilities use. It wasn’t for making undead higher undead, it was for promoting undead to a different race of undead, the wraiths were between lesser and upper undead. He was going to have to turn the entire force from undead to wraiths, it was another huge project piled onto his desk.
He felt at that moment his knights had returned before he could get excited he felt their anxiety and distress. Walking towards the door, he summoned the knights that were about the mansion, they met him at the doors serious looks upon there faces. He pointed at the twins and three other knights who followed him towards the stables, the rest donned their masks and armor ready to defend the mansion.
He called a legion of wraiths to follow him, donning his mask and armor he mounted the horse and galloped towards the gate knights and wraiths following at his heels.
