Rise Of The Legendary Emperor - Chapter 259: Battle Energy trace
Both Knight and Lia once again began to swiftly travel forward. However, this time, they did not make any more pit stops as the remaining stone rooms were largely abandoned, thus, they did not have any value left.
Hence, as they traveled at full speed, after ten minutes, the seemingly never-ending tunnel finally began to widen, as a couple of loud thuds greeted them.
Knight raised his hand and motioned Lia to reduce her speed as they slowly walked out of the tunnel. Outside the tunnel, was an extremely wide hall similar to a large stadium. Along the hall, were numerous different tunnels and several figures inside this large hall. Amongst them, he spotted the group from the House Moonwin.
“Boom boom!”
However, right now, none of them noticed their arrival. All of the people in the area were directing waves of powerful attacks towards a glowing barrier hovering in the large hall. Their combined attacks caused layers of ripples to continuously emerge on that glowing barrier.
Knight’s eyes swept across that glowing barrier before they stopped at the few gleaming shadows within as he could almost make out the glowing shadows which looked like swords, arrows, spears, and various metal works.
As she gazed at these glowing shadows, Lia’s pupils shrunk as her eyes widened in shock. These glowing shadows were all Energy Armaments!
“Energy Armaments”
(From now on I’ll use the name Energy Armament for Magic Items because it sounds cool!)
Lia mumbled under her breath. In the whole Riester Kingdom, one could not find an Energy Armament easily and even if one finds it, the price they had to pay would be astronomical. However, at this moment and place, there were several Energy Armaments before them and, amongst these items, the one that resembled a sword, was exceptionally radiant.
“As expected of a Soul Strength cultivator’s tomb!”
Knight’s eyes swept across the hall and found that practically everyone was staring at these Energy Armaments within the glowing barrier with a greedy look on their faces. Right now, they were combining their forces to break the glowing barrier but after they broke the barrier, there would definitely be a huge battle.
To obtain these Energy Armaments, it was worth to put one’s life on the line and fight for them.
However, his gaze was not focused on the Energy Armaments like everyone else but on a black rusty metal box that was sitting on the corner.
“Battle energy”
His heart started to beat faster looking at the battle energy radiating from the box. Until now, this world was based on Life energy and until now, there wasn’t an item like the metal box that had battle energy traces.
“Young Master, when the barrier breaks, we should go for that hammer” While his eyes were fixed on that metal box, Lia tucked his sleeve and silently said as she pointed out a silver big hammer on the other side of the barrier.
“You want that?”
Even though the Energy Armaments were extremely valuable and caused everyone’s heart to overflow with greed, he didn’t want to fight for those and reveal his power to this huge amount of crowd. Because in his space ring, he had more valuable and powerful combat weapons of the divine continent, and compared to the combat weapons, these common Energy Armaments didn’t worth the effort. If there was a Legendary Energy Armament, he would have fought for it but none of these were at that level.
Hearing Knight’s question, she nodded her head
“Young Master, I’m positive that with that Silver hammer, we can build better ships”
She had already decided to help him however she could and to do a better job, she needed the silver hammer and luckily for her, the hammer did not emit a powerful aura like the other Armaments as it radiated a weak aura and looked old and rusty. So there would be less demand for the hammer and if they were quick enough, they could get the hammer and get out without fighting anyone.
“Alright, let’s take that hammer and get out of here”
As battle energy casually rippled on his hand, before he directed it towards that light barrier. At the same time, he calmly signaled Lia to slowly approach the light barrier.
His actions did not draw much attention, because he was not the only one with such a plan. While the rest of them were attacking the light barrier, they purposely held back as well to save their energy for the battle that would occur when the barrier breaks.
Under the combined attacks of the crowd, the glowing barrier in mid-air began to dim. Based on its unstable appearance, it looked as if it was going to break at any second.
Looking at the barrier, the tension among the crowd started to rise as they slowly spread out with a vigilant look in their eyes.
However, he was not too surprised to see this as he had seen situations like this many times. Under the temptation of treasures, this was a normal situation.
After hearing his words, a small smile appeared on Lia’s face. Inside this large hall, there were probably several highly skilled individuals who were gunning for the Energy Armaments like shiny swords, spears, and bows which radiated a more powerful aura than the hammer. With so many people fighting for them, they could take the hammer and leave the place quickly.
“it won’t disappoint you, Young Master,” Lia said in satisfaction.
The glowing barrier in mid-air became dimmer and dimmer while everyone’s hearts became increasingly nervous. Some of them had even stealthily begun to unsheathe their weapons.
“Crack!”
Suddenly, a soft crackling sound emerged. At that moment, the large hall suddenly turned silent, as everyone’s gaze was on that crack, which was slowly emerging on the barrier.
“Crack crack!”
The size of that crack grew rapidly in the pupils of the crowd before it eventually covered every corner of that glowing barrier.
“Bang!”
Moments later, when the cracks finally extended to their limits, the barrier could no longer hold on as it exploded into oblivion, and then numerous glowing light dots fell from the sky.
“Boom!”
The moment the light barrier exploded, Life energy forces almost simultaneously exploded forth in the quiet large hall, as the crowd leaped into the air with a greedy look in their eyes. Every single one of them reached for the exposed Energy Armaments in mid-air as Knight and Lia made their move.
“Let’s go!”
Just as she had expected, most of them were unable to suppress the greed in their hearts and quickly went for the most sparkling and toughest looking, Energy Armaments like a sword, spears, and such weapons. Meanwhile, none of them were trying to get the metal box and the silver hammer.
Upon witnessing this scene, he chuckled in his heart as he dashed towards the metal box and the hammer before some greedy fellow came looking for the hammer.
Since Lia claimed that this hammer would help her build better ships, he wasn’t going to let go of it.
With this thought in mind, he noticed the four others that were also dashing towards the hammer as a cold glint surfaced in his eyes. Obviously like Lia, they also realized the hammer’s value in shipbuilding, so they decided to get what’s more beneficial to them.
They dashed in a straight line towards the Silver Hammer, which was floating in the air,
Lia’s gaze swept over the other four before pausing on the middle-aged man in the middle. From the magical fluctuations radiating from his body, she was able to tell that the middle-aged man’s strength was at the Mid Grandmaster level.
As for the remaining three, they were at the Low Grandmaster level. Although they were not weak, they did not pose too much of a threat towards Knight.
“So many experts!”
This was already the smallest group, yet, there was already one Mid Grandmaster and three Low Grandmasters. This intense competition caused even Lia’s heart to skip a beat.
However, Knight was not the slightest bit worried as he made his move. Though Life energy cultivators were able to leap through the air for quite a distance, they were far from able to control the wind element and leap like Knight. Thus, although they were in mid-air, their nimbleness could not compare to Knight, who had the aid of Battle energy.
The sword below his feet flashed as his figure once again sped up. In an instant, he reached out his hand and grabbed the metal box in the mid-air, and approached the silver hammer that was emitting a weak glow.
“STOP HIM!”
The four people behind were furious when they saw that he was the first to reach. As they lifted their hands, four blasts of Life energy ruthlessly shot towards Knight’s back.
“Humph!”
As he sensed the strong wind which was rushing at his back, he coldly snorted. With a flick of his hand, Battle Energy injected air elements around him formed into a powerful shield behind him and blocked the incoming attacks.
“Swish!”
While blocking their combined attack, his finger pointed out as four crescent-shaped wind blades violently shot towards the four people behind him. The wind blades caused the four to become somewhat flustered as they did not have much means to move in mid-air, causing them to stumble and look clumsy.
While the four were busy, he neared the silver hammer, before his hand directly grabbed at it.
“Buzz!”
Just as his palm was about to touch the hammer, an extremely powerful resistive force suddenly exploded out from it and pushed his hand away.
“Boom!”
Upon seeing that this hammer was automatically resisting, he was a little taken aback. He didn’t expect this weak energy emitting hammer to resist him like this but its resistance was an indicator of its value as it made him excited, very excited.
