Rise Of Void Dragons - Chapter 18
Looking at the shaking bodies of Ning Qiang and the hooded man, everyone in the room was dumbfounded. And this included elders, Wang Ming and Secretary Song. No one was an exception.
“Your majesty, what happened?” Secretary Song asked out.
But Ning Qiang didn’t reply and just stared at the Wang Ming who was kneeling down on the ground, coping up with the pressure of the several elders in the room.
Same was for the hooded man.
Everyone was in deep thought.
How was this brat alive?
After a moment of silence, their bodies slowly calmed down and their expressions returned back to original.
Ning Qiang didn’t speak this time. But the hooded man’s voice resounded in the entire hall.
“Everyone gathered here knows the reason for this gathering. So I assume that everyone here also knows about the Dragon God Fruit?”
Elders surrounding table turned into a pile of dust nodded their heads in approval. It’s common sense that since they are gathered here, they also know about the Dragon God Fruit.
“Then I would like to ask, about the usage of the Dragon God Fruit.” The hooded man didn’t get straight to the point but first asked another question.
Maybe this was his habit of showcasing his knowledge and correcting the juniors.
However, this question was really meaningful as this question also piqued the interest of Wang Ming. Even an idiot can tell, since these people can openly kidnap a human, just for knowing the location of this Dragon God Fruit. This thing was anything but ordinary.
He was going to die due to this fruit, at least he should know what’s so good about that fruit? After eating it, all he felt was that his hunger was suppressed instantly and it was really …tasty and sweet?
An elder from the group stood up and answered, “Dragon God Fruit, is the fruit of Dragon God Tree from the Dragon God Shrine. It specialises in treating the injury of soul and innate closed meridians in us pure-blooded dragons.”
“Umm elder Gu is right. That’s really the use of Dragon God Fruit for us dragons.” The hooded man nodded his head.
‘Pure… Pure Blooded Dragon?’ Wang Ming’s body trembled uncontrollably, his eyes rolled over, and he nearly passed away.
The Heck!
Are they kidding? Or intentionally trying to play with me?
“Then I would like to ask everyone, how do we use Dragon God Fruit for treatment and can we eat it?” Ignoring Wang Ming’s condition, the hooded man continued with his question.
This time another elder in an attempt to shine like a star, stood up and explained calmly, “For soul-based injuries, we burn the peeling of the fruit and let the patient inhale the smoke. And for treating meridians, we apply the juice of the peeling on the body of the victim.”
He took a pause and then continued, “As for the high priest’s second question, I once read, the core of the Dragon God Fruit is the forbidden part of the fruit as a wisp of Dragon God’s spirit resides in it. It’s used to grow a new tree rather than eating. If by chance, any dragon eats it, they’ll be killed due to excessive evolution of dragon bloodline.”
“Yes, I thank Elder Hong for sharing this precious knowledge with everyone.” The hooded man or the high priest praised the elder.
This answer struck Wang Ming even more harshly, he even forgot about common scientific knowledge and cursed inwardly, ‘Damit! I devoured a poisonous fruit! And the dragon in my dream is the Dragon God?! I am really cursed! Leave others aside, I even harm myself.’
The high priest was about to continue further when he tapped Wang Ming’s thoughts and his eyes nearly popped out of the sockets.
Did I hear wrong?
He hastily turned towards Wang Ming, who was cursing himself and asked, “You said there’s a Dragon in your dreams. Is it true?”
Listening to the voice-directed towards him, Wang Ming immediately stopped his thoughts and lifted his face up before answering, “Yes, since yesterday I have been seeing that dragon…Umm I mean Dragon God in my dreams.”
“Shit!” The high standing image of the high priest shattered in front of everyone as he cussed out loudly.
But no one paid much attention to this. Being here already means that they are knowledgeable and intelligent. Just a small hint from the last answer already cleared up their path of thinking.
The room became silent for a few minutes, with everyone staring at each other’s face first and then looking at the Wang Ming kneeling on the ground.
“Now, he’s one of us.” The high priest announced after the silence.
