Rise Of Void Dragons - Chapter 20
“But how will you get to know the location of the peeling of the Dragon God Fruit?” Ning Qiang asked weakly as he sat down on his chair.
Even though it was true that humans usually only eat fruits and leave the outer peeling aside, but, the question is how will they get the peels if he threw them on the road or in the trash? Which was most likely to happen.
The head priest sighed, “I know, the probability of this is extremely low, but we can still try something rather than losing our hope.”
“But even if we can’t find the peelings, I still have two other ways to treat Princess Jinying. Just that, they are difficult and chances of success are low.”
“What?!! You still have two other ways? But didn’t you say, without Dragon God Fruit, the treatment is impossible?” Ning Qiang’s weak body abruptly shot up from the chair and gained back its former strength and majestic aura. He doubted the words he heard; he can’t believe them at all.
“I don’t dare to lie. We still need the Dragon God Fruit. Just that-” However, the high priest’s voice stopped in the mid and he turned back, towards Wang Ming.
“Umm” Wang Ming’s eyelids moved a bit and then he slowly opened his eyes and rubbed them with his hands, “oh what a crazy dream.”
However, when he felt the coarse surface of his left hand, his eyelids twitched, “Heck! Why can’t all of this be a dream?”
“Because it’s the truth. A truth you need to accept and change your life accordingly.” The High Priest spoke.
“Am I really a Dragon? And I can’t change back to my previous self?” Wang Ming asked solemnly. He really can’t get used to all of this. Who can accept sudden species change?
Can you?
“Yes, you are really a dragon from now on. And no, you can’t change this even if you want. Accept the truth and move forward in life.”
“But why? Didn’t you people say that if someone eats the fruit, they’ll be killed? Why am I still alive? Are you people traping me?” Wang Ming didn’t back down and asked more questions.
“We didn’t lie to you. Why will we? You are still akin to an ant in our eyes.” The High Priest chuckled a bit before continuing again, “As for why you didn’t die? That’s because you are lucky or to narrow down the scope of the answer, that’s because your ancestors were probably pure dragons too. However your bloodline got mixed and after several hundreds of generations, your dragon bloodline is so diluted that you were pretty much pure-blooded human, before you ate Dragon God Fruit.”
“However, after ingesting the fruit, your human bloodline was burned down and the remains of the ancestral dragon blood in your body was amplified. Making you one of us, the pure-blooded dragons.”
Upon listening to this, Wang Ming didn’t move for a while and slowly digested the information thrown at him.
Till yesterday, everything around him was a waste and they didn’t matter to him at all. And things like bloodline, dragons and stuff like that were things present only in web novels. However, life laughed at him and turned everything upside down.
Heh! You want to die? Let’s play a game!
No, to be more exact, it wasn’t just turning everything upside down, as in that case life’s condition was just inverted. But, his life was changed from its core. It freaking changed the game of life!
“Sigh so I can’t change this after all.” Wang Ming sighed as he started accepting the change course of his life.
“Little Ming, I’ll like to ask a thing from you. Where are the peelings of the Dragon God Fruit?” Seeing that the condition of Wang Ming was stabilising, The High Priest asked.
“Oh, those peelings? I threw them in the dustbin on the roadside, yesterday. Should I go and find them?” Wang Ming answered honestly and offered them help. Anyways, those things weren’t of his use and if the dragons present here can find those peelings, maybe they can successfully fulfil the task they were originally finding the Dragon God Fruit for.
Although already expecting this, the group was still disappointed after listening to the answer.
Now, even if they find those peelings, they will be of no use. Rather they’ll act like poison than a medicine due to the corruption in the trash can.
“No, you don’t need to do that. It’s of no use now.” Ning Qiang chuckled, however darkness and sadness were all over his face.
Sigh…why do humans immediately throw everything? Can’t they just keep things for a while?
When High Preist was thinking about habits of humanity, Ning Qiang impatiently asked him, “Elder Chen, you are the high priest of our clan. I believe your words. I beg you to tell me other ways to save my daughter.”
While speaking this, Ning Qiang nearly knelt on the ground, in front of this Elder Chen, The High Priest.
Elder Chen moved forward and hurriedly stopped Ning Qiang’s action, “I’ll tell you both ways. But in both ways, we’ll need the cooperation of little Ming.”
“Me?” Wang Ming was surprised.
How can a new baby dragon-like himself help these veterans in front?
