Roll Land System: Release That Rock - Chapter 2
Rocky asked the system, “Could I summon a bee?”
The Roll-land system responded, “A dying one.”
Rocky widened his non-existent eyes, “What do you mean ‘a dying one’?”
The Roll-land system sent him an image of a limping bee that seemed to have an injured wing. Rocky thought for a bit, “This could work.”
Rocky willed for the miasma crystal to summon the dying bee right at the foot of the voice that called off the trial. The bee that appeared indeed did not look like a demon at all except that the bee looked pretty fat, about the size of a die.
Rocky thought excitedly, “Oh that guy is coming towards me! He didn’t seem to notice the bee yet though.” He asked the Roll-land system, “Who is that royal guy?”
He heard the Roll-land system’s signature “Bzzzrrrt!” and it responded, “That is User: Cheng Yan in the body of Roland Wimbledon the prince who has the jurisdiction of Border Town.”
Rocky felt surprised, “He has a system too?”
The Roll-land system responded, “Incorrect. User: Cheng Yan is competent and does not require external cheats like a system.”
Rocky felt angry, “Why is he in the body of a human? A prince no less? Compared to me, a rock!”
The Roll-land system was silent and did not respond. Rocky rolled his invisible eyes and said, “Whatever. Anyways, bee-demon! Sting the foot of Roland and crawl over to the side of me!”
And… a few seconds later, nothing happened. Rocky thought, “Did nothing happen? Wasn’t the bee supposed to listen to me? Did it die already?” Suddenly, the bee stung Roland’s foot.
“Ouch! What was that?” Roland shouted.
A knight by his side drew his sword and said, “Your Highness! What happened?”
Roland looked down at his foot and said, “A bee stung my foot?”
Roland saw the bee and the knight by his side followed his gaze. The knight said, “Your Highness, it is best to check the bee first. It seems to be abnormally fat. It could be a demon and it might be extremely toxic. After all, the months of demons is approaching soon. Perhaps this is an early appearance. After all, the initial demons tend to be weaker.”
By his side, an older man said, “I agree with Carter. Although a demonic bee is unheard of, we don’t know much about the demons so its best to check if its the work of the devil.”
Rocky thought, “No they can’t capture the bee! They need to kick it and me! Oh wait, I have another idea. Bee-demon cling to me! No matter what! Hug me as hard as you can!”
Carter knelt down and to the small Rocky, the enormous face of Carter was staring down at him and the bee. Rocky thought, “Oh this feels so creepy. His enormous hand is getting closer.” To Rocky, Carter’s hand seemed like an enormous meteor that was slowly getting closer. Rocky closed his “eyes” and thought, “Be gentle, please! I’m a fragile rock you know!”
Carter pinched the bee which desperately tried to cling on to Rocky to no avail. Rocky felt hope slowly slipping away until he heard Roland say, “Oh? Is it just me or does the bee seem to be wanting to cling onto this rock? Is there something special about it?”
Rocky saw that behind Roland, the old man rolled his eyes and said, “Your Highness, it seems like an ordinary rock. It’s nothing like the rocks in God’s Locket of Retribution.”
Rocky was internally screaming, “Pick me up! Just grab me already! Sooo close! Just a tiny bit more!”
Finally, Roland picked up Rocky. In Rocky’s mind, he had imaginary fireworks and tears of joy going on.
