Roll Land System: Release That Rock - Chapter 23
Meanwhile, in Border Town, unknown to their master’s woes, Dustina and Dustin were “diligently” creating an army of dust balls. Dustina had recently begun experiencing treatment like a pet more and more by Anna. After seeing Roland’s treatment of Rocky, Anna began to emulate him trying to find out what was so interesting.
Now, Dustina was placed outside on a bench watching Anna create advanced machinery that Dustina could not wrap her head around. Barely able to be noticed by anyone, were dozens of dust balls surrounding Dustina. It was like a bunch of young kids gathered around a teacher with wide-eyed curiosity that seemed to seep from each and every one of them.
Unlike her diligent manner when talking to Roland, she seemed more lazy and laidback now. She nonchalantly told the dust balls like a wise sage, “My little dustlettes, you should follow every order your superior gives you. Also, you all should never ever humiliate D.U.S.T. in any way. Don’t sully the good name of D.U.S.T. nor your Grandmaster Rocky.”
Feeling all the “admiring gazes” from the “dustlettes” made Dustina inwardly smile smugly. She continued, “Anyways, you guys should just get more dust in your free time. Eventually, you will all turn into rocks when you get enough dust. Oh, you all could also become rocks when I get some rock level magic.” (A/N: Just to clarify, Dustina and Dustin had Rocky’s Rock-level magic go inside them to turn them into rocks. Rock-level magic was used to transform the two into rocks. As rocks, though, they can only use dust-level magic at most currently.)
Dustin asked Dustina mentally, “How are we going to deal with the Church coming to Border Town?”
Dustina laughed and replied, “Don’t worry. By the time they get here, these dust balls may have turned into rocks or something. Anyways, I’m still thinking of a solution okay? Now stop bothering me and find someone else to annoy.”
Dustin muttered, “But you’re the only one I could talk to”
A few days later, an old woman arrived in Border Town on a horse-drawn carriage. With a voice that did not belong to an old woman, Faceless muttered with a tinge of shock in her voice, “So this is Border Town? Had it been developed to this extent within a few short months? It seems likely that some fallen witches have helped cause such a rapid development.”
