Meanwhile, in the city of Border Town, Faceless was walking around the common citizens selling their wares in the city. While casually browsing, she would ask questions about witches in Border Town.

Appearing as an old woman, Faceless asked, “Have you heard anything about how Prince Roland managed to create a wall so quickly? And during the months of demons? Also, what are those loud bangs going off lately?”

The middle-aged man selling pots replied, “Oh yes! His Highness used ‘cement’ to create the wall. It is a new invention from the Alchemist Workshop! Also, those loud bangs going off are from new weapons! From what I hear, they can spit fire! I have no idea what they are made of though.”

Faceless smiled inwardly and thought, “Interesting This Prince sure is interesting”

She asked the man, “What about witches? How’s the witch activity in Border Town?”

The man replied, “Witches? Why I’m not too sure about that. I heard some soldiers talking about a witch earlier though. Pardon me, but are you not from around here?”

Faceless chuckled and said, “Something like that.”

The man tsked and said, “An old woman going to Border Town during the months of demons. This isn’t right.” The man tossed three bronze royal to Faceless and said, “Take this. Use it to get out of here. It’s an extremely dangerous time right now, here in Border Town. No place for an old woman.”

Faceless took the bronze royals and gave her thanks. Upon leaving, she tossed the bronze royals on the dirt beneath her and sneered, “No place for an old woman? Really?” She walked away, leaving the bronze royals in the dust.
