Roll Land System: Release That Rock - Chapter 6
A month later, Rocky was still resting peacefully on Roland’s desk. So far, Dustina had already turned into a dustball. At the same time, Rocky used dust-level magic again to create Dustin.
Over this period of time, Rocky already learned from Dustina’s reconnaissance all about the months of demons as well as what Roland planned to do. Rocky thought, “Cement eh? Was this guy a construction worker before? Building a wall is a good idea though.”
Rocky also learned that Roland already gathered another witch, called Nana. Originally, Rocky was fearful of Nana like how he feared how Anna could melt him and Nightingale could chop him up. He was overjoyed when he heard how Nana could actually put him back together!
To Rocky’s surprise, Roland went back into his room today during the afternoon. Roland was rarely in his room nowadays as he always seemed to find a new contraption to work on until late at night. Roland picked him up and Rocky was extremely elated, “It’s been so long since I have moved! After this, I can probably get another reward from the Roll-land system!”
Rocky added, “I wonder where I’m going now.” He told Dustina, “Watch over my den for me! No outsiders are allowed to occupy my spot on Roland’s desk!”
After passing by a seemingly renovated Border Town, Rocky was pleasantly surprised. A thought ran through his head, “Could this become a modern city?”
Roland carried Rocky and walked towards the wall that is currently under construction. Walking by his side, Anna asked, “Why do you keep that rock around? It seems extremely ordinary.”
Roland rubbed Rocky like a meditation stone and said, “I agree. Originally I thought the rock would have special powers or something like a witch. A small demonic beast kept clinging to him after all. Now, I just feel slightly attached to it.”
Finally, the group arrived at the wall under construction. Roland placed Rocky in the middle of the soon-to-be-finished wall and asked Anna, “What do you think?”
Anna tilted her head and scrutinized Rocky, “It’s great but why did you put it here? The rock is round and the other stones in the walls are rectangles.”
Roland gently tapped Anna’s head and said, “There is still a slight chance that the rock and attract other spirit beasts so why not try out this hypothesis here? I still haven’t found out if it attracts larger demon beasts yet.”
Roland pointed at a few empty spots on the wall and said, “I could place more men here with some new weapons I’m working on. If the rock could actually attract the demon beasts, it would make things much more convenient.”
Rocky was inwardly panicking. If he ends up being cemented on this wall how can he move? His system would basically be useless until the wall crumbles!
Roland picked him back up and said, “I’ll hand this rock to one of the workers to cement on.”
That final motion of picking him up gave Rocky enough distance for the system to sound, “Bzzzrrt!”
“User: Rocky has successfully reached another milestone. Reward: (Choose One) Physical evolution or magic evolution.”
