Rosie Gentleman - Chapter 6
I woke up to cold sweat, the hair on the back of my neck stood up as I looked at my surroundings. The TV was still on with the ending credits to Pocahontas, I moaned and tried to stretch but of course, Sara just had to be leaning on me. I sleepily looked at her and sighed, I just felt so uncomfortable for no reason, like someone was watching me. I looked towards the open door to my room, and cringed. The board was still out in the alley, and yet I felt like someone was there. I shut my eyes tight, trying to get rid of the feeling.
I mumbled incoherent words as I looked at the clock and tried to read it, but it was to dark. Sara snorted beside me and shifted on her side. Lucky girl, she can sleep wherever and be comfortable. As I untangled myself from the mess of blankets and bowls of popcorn, I swore I heard a noise in my room, like something was being put back or placed on the floor, like a box. I slowly turned my head and scanned my dark room, the window was still open with the wind blowing my curtains, as I squinted my eyes, I could’ve swore I saw a silhouette by it, placing something on my bed.
“What the crackers..” I whispered while rubbing the sleep off my eyes and looked back, the window was still open, the wind still blew, yet there was no one there. I blinked several times and groaned, trying to get some shut eye, I could still feel a presence of someone in the room, but I ignored it and finally got my reward of blissful sleep.

I woke to the sound of loud snoring in my ears, I turned and found Sara asleep on my shoulder, snoring loudly with a trail of drool leaving her open mouth. I cringed and tried to move, but Sara was holding tight, like a baby with their favorite doll.
“Sara…” I moaned. Still no movement, “Sara..” I moaned louder, still no movement. “That’s it!” I thought as I pushed her over the couch and onto the floor, filled with the trash of last nights craziness. I glared as the redhead screamed with surprise, and toppled over with the blankets, a loud thump following afterwards.
“Bout time..”
“Ugh what time is it..” she mumbled as she combed her fingers through her messy bobbed hair.
“Time to wake up, my gosh girl do you know how loud you snore?”
Sara grinned and smacked her mouth, stretched and rubbed her head. Looking at the clock, I moaned and laid back sideways on the couch. As the I read 11:30 on the clock, I spaced out and suddenly thought about last night. My grip on the blanket tightened, and I whimpered, if what happened in my room wasn’t a hiccup if my imagination, then what the flip was it? Curling into a ball and releasing a sigh, I turned onto my back and stared at the ceiling. While spacing out, I didn’t notice Sara creeping towards me with a cup in her hand. I screamed as she threw the ice cold water as it covered my face and clothes. I spewed out several gasps and quickly sat up, as Sara laughed like the crazy women she is.
“Hahaha! Oh my gosh Rosie! Oh! My! Gosh!”
“Sara..” I growled dangerously. I gave her an evil smile and jumped up as fast as lighting, grabbing her sides and tickling her with new found energy. We both screamed in excitement as we fell to the floor with laughter. I giggled and moved my hair from my face as Sara got up from the floor and gave me her hand. While heaving me up, she giggled and skipped toward the restroom. I smiled and walked into the kitchen and and grabbed a cup, while turning on the water dispenser, I saw something in the mirror leaning on the wall of my living room, but as soon as I saw it, it disappeared. I shook my head and gulped the flavorful water down my throat and sighed in content. While making some breakfast, Sara came bounding away from the restroom and hummed while picking up the discarded blankets, and threw them on the couch.
Placing the rice filled bowls onto the table and grabbing several side dishes from the fridge, I noticed something missing. My fluffy, fat unicorn wasn’t on the couch or the floor. I made a face and scanned around for my fatso, I clicked my tongue and looked at Sara, who was picking up the trash and snack bowls.
“Hey, have you seen Bonbon?”
“Wasn’t she with you the whole time?”
“Yea, but she’s not there?” I bit my lip and placed the side dishes onto the counter and looked around. The unicorn wasn’t on the couch or the floor, it couldn’t have rolled off somewhere could it? While searching, Sara started to place the dishes and chopsticks onto the table. I gave a worried glance back at her, she shrugged and started eating as I heaved a sigh and sat for breakfast. “My little fatso is going to have to wait.” I thought while shoving rice into my mouth.

After breakfast, we started our little expedition for the unicorn. Looking around and moving cushions and drawers, my thoughts suddenly came to the scene in my room last night. Remembering the silhouette that put something in my room, I paced toward the open door and looked in.
There, sitting happily on the bed was the Bonbon. I sighed with relief and picked up the unicorn, squeezing it close to my chest and walking in circles, I failed to notice a little something on the floor. I yelped as I tripped, and safely landed my unicorn onto the bed with its friends, as I fell on the floor and looked back, I felt my hands sweat and I stared opened mouthed at the Ouija board sitting on the floor.
