‘”Good morning

Rose. This was the question I was supposed to ask. How was your night?” Dana asked curiously. “You didn’t come home for the night.”‘

‘Rose couldn’t help but panic.’

‘What should she say? Try to lie or tell the truth while avoiding some details? She was a person who rarely lied so she immediately picked the second option. The only problem was that all details were either involving naughty things or Ryan’s transformation which she couldn’t share at all.’

‘”I’m good

really good. It was really late when we finished talking yesterday so I decided to spend the night at Ryan’s place instead. It was much safer this way

” Rose described

presenting herself as a responsible adult but her mom didn’t seem to buy it.’

‘”Oh

really? Were you able to catch any sleep? I’m sure you two ended up talking all night.”‘

‘Rose glanced at Ryan as if to blame it on him for making her miss half of the night of sleep yet she obviously couldn’t expose him as that would be a suicide.’

‘Ryan heard everything and grinned

forcing a kiss on her lips. She immediately put the call on mute and glared at him

pulling his face away.’

‘”Do you want us to get caught?” Rose asked sternly

squeezing his cheek as punishment. “You promised not to do anything.”‘

‘Ah!’

‘Ryan smacked her butt in revenge

pulling her closer to him and shook his head

“No

I promised I won’t talk and I indeed didn’t say a word. Now I really want to tease you.”‘

‘As a testimony to his words

he instantly leaned forward

sucking on her neck greedily. He held her back tightly

preventing her from pulling away.’

‘To make it all worse

her mom started asking questions

“Rose

‘Having no other choice

Rose grasped onto Ryan’s hair and held him in place

just in case he tried to do anything else. He was relatively quiet with his kisses so she let him alone

moving back to the call.’

no. I’m fine. It must be the lack of sleep that caused me to get distracted.” Rose found a convenient lie

trying to cover Ryan’s naughtiness. “You are right. We only got half the night of sleep but it’s okay. I think the two of us got much closer because of it so I’m happy I stayed.”‘

‘”So I guess you two did more than just talking?” Dana investigated further

going in a direction that Rose was afraid of.’

‘They were doing it as they spoke! There was no need to even talk about the past.’

‘”Uhm…” Rose hesitated for a moment

not really knowing where to start when her eyes widened and her body froze.’

‘She felt something hard pressing against her lower belly as well as her sensitive region that was only covered by a thin layer of her panties. She wasn’t a ten years old girl to not realize what it was.’

Ryan didn’t seem to care about it and continued to press their bodies together

it’s okay if you did some dirty things with Ryan. Your mom won’t judge you. I just want to know if you remembered to stay safe? You are still young after all. Having a kid would be a big responsibility.”‘

Ryan actually stopped kissing her and glanced at her with a curious smirk.’

‘There wasn’t a moment in her life when she was this embarrassed

her face completely red. She wanted to find a bury herself six feet underground but she had to fix the mess first.’

stop! We didn’t do anything like that!” Rose disclaimed while covering Ryan’s eyes so he couldn’t see her looking like a red tomato. “We only kissed and hugged. That’s all. Ryan hugged me to sleep and I never slept better.”‘

‘Rose breathed out deeply

not believing she actually talked this shamelessly with her mother. She was always a good girl yet now she shared her naughty experiences with her. It was still better than her parents thinking she was already having sex with Ryan.’

Dana didn’t create any drama and took it calmly like a cool mom

“I’m glad you are still my responsible daughter. It’s okay to explore your sexuality but don’t rush it. You two have a lot of time ahead of you so take it slow

already planning exactly that from the start.’

‘If they did everything at the start

‘She calmed down a bit from the initial outburst of emotions so she uncovered Ryan’s eyes. Thankfully

he didn’t tease her anymore but instead just watched her

“What are your plans for now? Will you come back home or go straight to your classes?”‘

‘Rose thought for a moment about the question but she already knew the answer in her heart.’

‘”I will spend more time with Ryan today and probably skip the classes. I will help him pack as he is moving back to his parent’s home. His mom will come soon to pick us up

” Rose replied confidently

reaching out to hold Ryan’s face as well.’

‘She felt like she was touching feathers

Ryan’s skin so soft she was actually jealous.’

‘There was a small pause coming from her mom so Rose guessed she was discussing it with her dad which was nothing weird. She also had Ryan whom she talked in between.’

you know what you want best. Contact mommy if your plans change or you are coming home so we don’t worry

” Dana finally replied

before commenting

“Also

say “Hi” to Ryan from us. The phone’s microphones are quite good these days so we could hear his kisses clearly. We won’t disturb you two any longer. You can continue. Bye Rose~”‘

‘Dana didn’t give her a chance to explain as she ended the call right after

leaving the embarrassed Rose to herself.’

‘”Ah! They heard everything!” Rose called out in panic

her redness returning to her face. Rose threw her phone on the bed to free her hand and started punching Ryan’s chest lightly

blaming it all on him

“Dummy

it’s all your fault!”‘

‘It was one thing to tell her parents they did kiss and hug compared to actually letting them hear the whole process.’

‘Ryan didn’t mind that at all

smiling as if he didn’t feel pain at all and finally caught her wrist

pulling her back on the bed.’

they seem to be cool about it

” Ryan assured before hugging her

rubbing her back. “They will forget about it soon.”‘

I will feel so awkward at my home now…” Rose complained but Ryan found a quick solution that made her words stuck in her throat.’

thinking he wasn’t serious but Ryan proceeded to lift her chin up and said earnestly

looking at him from above. “You really want me to live with you?”‘

‘It was so sudden that Rose didn’t know how to react but Ryan didn’t answer right away.’

‘”What else can we do?” Ryan asked

showing a sad expression. “I don’t want to leave you…”‘

” Rose called out to get his attention and laid back down on him while grabbing onto his face. “What do you mean leave me? You are not going anywhere. Did you forget? You promised to stay by my side forever and ever if you become a vampire

so now that you lost the bet

you need to keep your promise.”‘

‘”The situation is much different than before…” Ryan said with an uncertain look. “There is something you don’t know…”‘

‘”What is it? I already told you I will help you no matter what happens… Isn’t that what a perfect girlfriend is supposed to do? You asked me to be one

” Rose assured

kissing him deeply to cheer him up. “Even if we don’t live together

warming up her arms until she gave him a nod. “When I was undergoing my transformation

not expecting such a big turn of events. A certain scenario immediately came to get mind which she had to quickly confirm

pausing with regret visible on his face. “I wanted to chase her away before I get out of control but then someone else came

forcing her to present her neck to me. She even cut her neck open which finally made me lose myself and bite into Lisa’s neck

almost killing her in the process.”‘

‘”Almost? So she is alive

right? Where is she now? Also

who is that person?” Rose asked multiple questions

trying to connect all the dots.’

‘Ryan wasn’t panicking so she didn’t jump to conclusions

waiting for his answers instead.’

‘”Do you remember that black cloak lady that was stalking us yesterday? She turned out to be my grandma. She is also a Vampire and apparently

she came back to assist me in my transformation

” Ryan described. “She was also the one that took Lisa away after I fed her my blood

turning her into a Vampire.”‘

‘Rose blinked twice

trying to understand.’

let me process it… I can understand that your grandma is a Vampire but why Lisa too?” Rose questioned confused

glancing at her wrist. “I also gave you my blood. Does that mean I will become a Vampire as well?”‘

‘”No

only if you drink my blood would you become one. If I didn’t do it

Lisa would die from blood loss so I had no choice but to give her my blood. I’m not sure where she is now and what happened with her afterward. My grandma put me to sleep and the next thing I remember is waking up with you.”‘

‘”Well

it’s not your fault then. You just wanted to save her. I’m sure she will forgive you…” Rose assured

seeing the guilt on his face and hugged him.’

‘It seemed he really needed it as he squeezed her tightly while rolling on the bed and buried his head in her chest. They stayed like this for a moment until she asked

one more thing bothering her

“You said you don’t want to leave me? Why would you leave?”‘

‘Ryan explained without pulling away

“Before I fell asleep

my grandpa told me to take good care of you because she wants you as a successor. If you agree

she will probably force you to become a Vampire but if you don’t

we will never see each other again. Even if I want it

she will take me away from this city and I’m too weak to resist her.”‘

‘”This is no longer just succeeding our grandparents’ companies

you know that. It means you would no longer eat normal food. You would be forced to feed off other people’s blood for the rest of your life.”‘
