S-Class Dungeon’s Mistress - Chapter 131
“You……!”
“Oh, were you that kind of demon? I’m sorry. I didn’t know that.”
“I didn’t know that even amongst dungeon masters of C-Class or higher, there were demons like that!” Adelaide added, waving her hand.
Seeing her like that, Lisianthus was extremely moved.
‘Our Adele, you’re even good at sarcasm. What the hell can’t you do?’
He gazed at Adelaide with very thick rose-tinted glasses. Even though his owner was arguing with the majority, instead of trying to stop her, he looked very pleased. He was grateful of her defending the Greenville name.
As Adelaide had presumed, it was Lisianthus who coined the name. Like the type of demon who loved checkered patterns, he also had quite the poor naming sense.
“You.”
Shavarma interjected in a fierce voice. The way he looked at Adelaide who dared to pick a fight was awfully dirty.
“It looks like you didn’t bring that devil today…….”
He moved his eyes and looked at Lisianthus and Raham. A high-level demon and a Durahan. Shavarma snorted as if he found it funny.
“Where the hell are you getting your confidence from? For a mere succubus you’re quite fearless.”
“Pfft!” Adelaide laughed involuntarily.
She tried to hold it in, but she couldn’t. He dared to brag about his strength in front of Lisianthus! It was quite ridiculous that he was looking down on a succubus, not knowing that the demon in front of him was a devil. She held her stomach, curling her slender waist. She laughed so much that tears formed in her eyes.
You dare ignore me? Shavarma clenched his fists and glared at her. Being ignored by a succubus, his teeth chattered. It was clear that she was being arrogant, believing in that sole devil alone.
“Will you be fine? Your devil is so busy these days that he will only arrive after you die.”
Shavarrma struggled to manage his expression and opened his mouth again.
“They said in the article that he was busy fighting all the demons in the world, but I didn’t know it was to the extent that he wouldn’t have time to follow his master at all. The thing is, even if he did that, he wouldn’t be able to get Helheim’s power, so what can we do?”
He scoffed at Adelaide in an exaggerated tone, as if he was making a speech, and then looked around him. He was checking the crowd’s reaction.
The demons burst into laughter again. For whatever reason, it seemed funny when Helheim was mentioned. Only then did Shavarma’s face brighten.
Meanwhile, Adelaide’s expression hardened noticeably. It was very dissatisfying that Caladium’s name came out of the mouth of that annoying j*rk.
“You’re the fearless one. Haven’t you learned nothing from your last experience? There were a lot of articles too. They called it ‘The Defeat of Arrogance’.”
A couple of other dungeon masters burst into laughter when Adelaide deliberately brought up the articles about their dungeon match. They collectively rejected Adelaide but the bond between them didn’t seem to be that good either. Seeing as they laughed at Shavarma as soon as they had something to ridicule him with.
Shavarma’s face quickly turned red. Unable to contain his anger, he stood up and pointed a finger at Adelaide.
“You vile b*tch, how insolent!”
Adelaide frowned at the roaring voice. She looked up at him with irritated eyes. Look who’s talking? It’s not even funny. He was the one who picked a fight first and acted rudely.
“Because of you, my son is still……!”
“Oh, Mierda? How’s that tongue doing? It was so funny, he kept talking and talking and eventually ended up getting his own tongue cut off. Then I thought, ah, this is what it’s like to punish evil.”
Adelaide clasped her hands tightly and nodded. Her pink pupils twinkled as if she was recalling wonderful memories.
Shavarma’s eyes flipped their lids* halfway at the obvious mockery. His son, Mierda, had not yet recovered. His tongue had not grown back which made it almost impossible to communicate. It was because wounds inflicted by devils were difficult to heal.
[T/N: He got mad, losing control]
How dare you laugh at him! Uriel-nim’s orders or whatever, I can’t stand it any longer.
‘Succubus, I’ll finish you at once……!’
Thick magical energy swirled around Shavarma. If it weren’t for that devil, it wouldn’t have been an issue killing a succubus. Even if they were both C-Class dungeon masters, it was just a position she got thanks to her devil.
But strangely, in front of him, Adelaide did not move at all. She should have stiffened from fear, but she didn’t. She was staring intently at Shavarma with a calm face. The sunken eyes even looked bored. As if the Great Shavarma wasn’t scary at all.
‘No way.’
It can’t be. The difference in power between the succubus race, which was barely at the edge between the mid and high-level demon classes, was incomparable enough to dare to compare. Although the dungeon master grows as the dungeon rank increases, nonetheless, there is a limitation when it comes to race.
Is it unfounded confidence, or is there something she believes in? Or perhaps that devil is waiting around somewhere? Shavarma pondered intensely for a few seconds.
If the devil was really waiting, his head might get cut off the moment he tried to attack. Maybe he didn’t show up on purpose to create justification.
When his thoughts came to this conclusion, he started to regret it. But he couldn’t stop here now. The other dungeon masters were watching, and if he stepped down from here, he would be ridiculed for the rest of his life. He had to show the biggest thing possible so that he wouldn’t be disregarded as a C-Class.
Shavarma clenched his molars and raised his magic even more. Soon, a huge sword formed over his hand. It was Shavarma’s A-Class power, ‘Summoning a Demonic Sword’.
Unlike ordinary swords, the demonic sword has the ability to consume energy from its surroundings. In the case of weak, low-level demons, just being near it could quickly suck up all of their energy and fatally injure them.
“Kuaaack!”
“Kyaaak!”
Unsurprisingly, the demons who were serving them were in agony as they rolled on the floor. The demonic sword devoured their energy.
The two low-level demons that were sucked dry of all their energy died in an instant, and the female with short hair, who was far away, suffered injuries to her limbs as she struggled not to lose her energy. Blood was dripping from the wounds so deep it was as if they had been cut directly by the sword.
Of course, all of this was limited to the weak. The other dungeon masters watched their confrontation with interest, rather than distress. Some even drank wine in a leisurely manner. They didn’t care about the suffering of the demons who attended. Even if that demon belonged to them.
“Master. Stay behind me.”
Lisianthus spoke in a cold voice, trying to block her front. But Adelaide shook her head slightly.
“No. It’s okay, Lisian. This is nothing.”
Shavarma was even more enraged at her confident words. It’s nothing? You dare say my powers are nothing?
At his soaring anger, his worries about the devil vanished. The only goal that filled his head was to drain out all of the arrogant succubus’ energy. He swung the huge demonic sword towards Adelaide at a very high speed.
Adelaide looked at the sword rushing towards her calmly. The magic that it exuded was quite huge. However, compared to Lupin’s attack, it wasn’t that great. Apparently, legends are indeed legends.
She quickly pulled the thing from her waist. A long whip slipped out of its tiny scabbard and quickly wrapped itself around Shavarma’s demonic sword.
“Something like a trivial whip……!”
Shavarma thought that the thin whip would soon melt against the demonic sword’s power, but he was mistaken. The demonic sword couldn’t go any further as if something had blocked it.
‘Why would the A-Class special reward chosen by our Bell melt so easily?’
Adelaide smirked and tightened her grasp. Then she wished for it. May Shavarma’s demonic sword break without even being able to use its strength properly.
‘For just one second, I hope that my whip will overwhelm the power of the demonic sword.’
A magnificent and transparent energy emanated from Adelaide’s whole body. So thin that even Lisianthus didn’t notice.
Crack!
And, with a loud sound, the demonic sword was split in two. The power of the superior demon, Shavarma, was destroyed by Adelaide, a succubus. It was so incomprehensible that Shavarma’s face flushed with astonishment.
“This can’t, this can’t be.” Shavarma murmured with a pale, weary face.
For a demon like him, his pride was of paramount importance, more than anything else. Perhaps more terrifying than his son’s injury was the damage to his pride. So he couldn’t understand the current situation any more.
“How can this b*tch?!”
Shavarma raised his powers again, screaming his throat out. After all, creating a demonic sword was only one of his many powers. He hadn’t even pulled out his proper power yet. He tried to console himself like this.
However, Adelaide also had not shown her true strength yet. She slowly lowered her gaze and looked at her hand.
What shall we do this time? I’ve never played against demons before, but it’s good. She thought so and closed her eyes.
But, unfortunately, today was not the time. Someone suddenly intervened between Shavarma and Adelaide. Long hair fluttered amidst the raging energies.
A blindingly beautiful woman placed her hand lightly over Shavarma’s shoulder. As soon as her fingers touched him, his powers dispersed into the air.
“Stop.”
The one who opened their mouth was the white-haired demon who spoke to Adelaide first. She continued with a faint smile.
“It is difficult to fight in a place for friendship. Isn’t that right, Shavarma-nim?”
“U-……Uriel. I’m sorry.”
Shavarma apologized, clenching his fists until it hurt. It was an overbearing, arrogant, and disrespectful attitude.
Adelaide stared at the white-haired demon, Uriel, as energy hovered over her palm. Why was it that Shavarma, who was busy ignoring all the females, squeamish?
Adelaide, of course, already knew why.
What was written at the top of the document Lisianthus gave her was information about that white-haired demon. He even underlined it as if emphasizing that she shouldn’t forget it.
