S-Class Dungeon’s Mistress - Chapter 178
“Eu, Euak!”
“Kkeuaa! Aaak!”
Los Halde’s starting force, which had advanced confidently, were busy screaming and running away. If it became known that they had fled from the battlefield in the future, they would surely be punished severely, however, that was something they couldn’t afford to worry about right now.
The blonde man swung his sword once and countless comrades turned to dust and disappeared. Then, at the movement of the man with long silver hair, dozens of heads exploded at once. The reliable Minotaur’s limbs were torn from its body in an instant and became a prey for the Cerberus.
No demon would remain calm after seeing all that. Storren, the Dark Elf general leading Los Halde’s starting force, was no exception.
Storren was an incredibly gifted individual, to the point that he took the position of a general in the Los Halde Dungeon at a young age. This was why he was full of pride in his skills. He also thought that his abilities were comparable to that of Uriel.
However, the moment he faced Lisianthus in front of him, he realized something. Sooner or later, Los Halde will be decimated, and he too will die. It was the same reason why they didn’t kill or stop the fleeing demons. Because they knew that the end would be the same regardless.
Until now, only one demon had given him such a sense of intimidation.
‘Abaddon.’
The right hand of the Demon King, the Great Devil Abaddon. To think that a demon of the same level as him, one of the three strongest in the Demon Realm, was here in Greenville. It was unbelievable, but he had no choice but to believe after seeing it with his own two eyes.
‘No, maybe even more than that…….’
“He might be stronger.” He muttered, biting his lips.
If I had known it would be like this……. A futile wish lingered on the tip of his tongue, but his head soon separated from his body and flipped into the air together. His blood gushed out and the Dark Elf’s body crashed to the floor.
“S-Storren……!”
Los Halde’s demons, who had just lost their leader, shouted in shock. To think that he, who was famous for being strong even amongst the high-level demons, would die from a single slash. This meant that the enemy he faced was at least a devil-level force. Chaos erupted among the demons. The already disorganized battle line soon collapsed altogether.
It was then much easier to deal with the bewildered enemy. The Greenville demons continued to battle like fish in water. Like Adelaide had ordered, they did not bother to chase after those who ran away, but for those demons who were deemed would be problematic if left alive, they were dealt with by Lisianthus.
Soon after, there were no more living Los Halde demons in Greenville’s boss room. In less than ten minutes after the battle began, the situation was all over.
“I couldn’t even use what I prepared. What a waste.”
“Shh! Quiet.”
One of the Skeletons grunted senselessly and was scolded by his captain. No matter how happy they were to have won a battle against Los Halde, they should not talk about it in front of their corpses. The Skeleton Captain roared.
“Then we shall go right away.”
Lisianthus roughly took off his glove, on which a few drops of blood splattered, and threw it away, then held out his hand to Adelaide. Despite the fierce battle, not a single drop of blood reached his magnificent face. It was a stark contrast to the bloody Lupinus.
In the meantime, he was astounded at how clean he was. Lupinus snorted as if it were absurd.
“Yes. Bell, are you ready?”
“Woof!”
After eating, Bell dashed towards her, gently wagging his tail and barking loudly. He seemed to have not been able to completely swallow the Minotaur yet as flesh remained in the mouth of his right head. Adelaide pretended to not see it and patted Bell’s chest.
Then, with a ‘pong!’ Bell’s body shrank. Back into the form of a little puppy, Bell stuck out his pink tongue and panted cutely. She held Bell tightly and looked up.
“Kwiik!”
Mumu stood up on two legs and her wings trembled. Like her, she looked upward. Like they were welcoming someone.
Not long after, a small light burst from the postman’s aisle. A group of wyverns appeared.
“Kaeaeaeaek!”
“Kreureung!”
The members of Greenville wowed and clapped at the majestic appearance of the wyverns flying and flapping their large wings.
Impressed, Adelaide’s eyes also twinkled. Even though she had known in advance that they were coming, having them in front of her now filled her heart with gratitude.
A few days ago, Adelaide visited the Wyverns’ resting place and asked if they could help in this war. She thought that they could catch Los Halde off guard if they attacked them with their quick mobility.
She honestly thought they would refuse. She knew very well how foolish the idea of going to war against Los Halde sounded to other demons. There was a risk that they might catch their eyes if they were to help out.
Unexpectedly, however, the wyverns nodded after a brief silence.
Did they have no choice but to agree because she was the owner of Helheim? When she asked them their reason out of concern, a Wyvern replied.
[It has nothing to do with you being the owner of Helheim. Ganglati, you have shown us goodwill, and the owner of Los Halde is our old enemy, so there is no reason to refuse.]
As the beautiful, melodious voice rang in her ears, she quietly thanked her. She didn’t know much, but it seemed like Uriel had made a big mistake against the wyverns in the past. Considering that she had dragged a wyvern like a slave to the dungeon masters meeting, her assumption wasn’t unreasonable.
“What in the world……with my own eyes, I’m seeing many wyveeerns…….”
“You didn’t expect to see them, did you? I was very excited at first too.”
Adelaide quickly answered for Juilliard. She’d love to wait until he finishes his words, but that was something she couldn’t afford right now. It was now time to advance to Los Halde.
The demons dressed the Wyverns in clothes that Lisianthus had made by hand. They were checkered garments with handles all over the place to make it easier to ride.
This checkered j*ck*ss. After a short sigh, Adelaide cried out in a loud voice.
“Everyone, get on!”
As ordered, a small number of demons climbed onto the Wyverns’ backs. Adelaide, Bell, and Lisianthus rode the head wyvern, while Raham, Pia, Cereza, and Juilliard rode different wyverns. They were the elite unit selected after a long deliberation with Lisianthus.
They weren’t just chosen solely for their combat power. If so, Lupinus would have naturally been with them and Pia would have had to stay in Greenville instead.
It would definitely be much easier if they took Lupinus…… But that’ll put Greenville in danger. So they had to strike the right balance.
Among the healers, Pia was chosen because despite her physical limitations, she was the strongest. Adelaide hesitated until the end, but with Pia expressing her intention to join, she finally decided with this formation.
“Wait, Adelaide!”
The moment she was about to announce their departure, the Skeleton Captain suddenly called and stopped her.
“Take Lupinus too!”
Taken aback, Adelaide blinked her eyes. The voice that followed was very firm.
“Having Lupinus here is a waste of fighting power. There are a lot of strong demons there. The same goes for Uriel, and they say Abaddon might come.”
“That’s true, but…….”
“I completely understand what you’re thinking. But leave Greenville Dungeon to us! We will definitely protect it.”
When the Skeleton Captain looked around him, the other demons nodded. The Skeletons raised their voices and agreed, and Cerezo nodded his head in hopes that his sister would be a little safer.
Adelaide could not answer right away and pursed her lips. What she worried about the most was the safety of her demons, not the destruction of Greenville. It was for that reason that she wanted to leave Lupinus behind even though she knew it was a waste of strength.
“Adelaide, trust us.”
The Skeleton Captain stared at her through his black eye sockets. Although he had no eyes because he was a skeleton, his sincere thoughts were fully conveyed.
Adelaide looked behind her with serious eyes. With an expectant face, she saw the demons waiting for her answer.
“…… Lupin! Get on!”
“Waaa! As expected!”
“Don’t worry, Adela! Trust us!”
Led by the skeletons, the demons cheered with open arms. David, one of the Durahans even danced to express his joy. They were very excited demons.
Adelaide smiled lightly and turned her head away again. Lupinus must have climbed on a Wyvern’s back too, now it was really time to start.
“Come on, let’s go!”
After shouting loudly, the wyverns flew up into the sky. The demons of Greenville eagerly waved at the departing figures. With friendly cheers at the end, the Wyverns crossed the Greenville portal.
It was just like when she went to Helheim’s entrance, but the wyvern’s movement this time was shockingly fast. Of course, if Caladium were to turn into a phoenix, he could fly much faster than that, so fast that it would feel like moving through space.
The strong wind kept hitting her face. But after a few minutes, she was able to get used to it. Gently turning her head, she saw Lisianthus sitting in a very comfortable position. Lupinus on the other side didn’t seem to be bothered either.
‘I guess the skin on your face hardens when you become a devil.’
Adelaide clicked her tongue dejectedly. With the power she had, she could be considered to have reached the rank of a high-level demon, but she didn’t know why she still felt weak compared to them.
“As per our strategy, we will make a detour in the east aisle and launch an attack.”
Lisianthus confirmed that Adelaide was okay when she said that. It was very interesting to see her not blinking an eye even though the wind was blowing.
“Even if we have Lupinus, it will be a bit difficult to fight head-to-head, right?”
“As long as Lupinus goes with us, a head-to-head match won’t be too hard. It’s even possible without him. However, the problem is that the longer the battle, the more dangerous it will be for the Greenville demons. So we don’t have to go through all that trouble. It would be best to decapitate Uriel as quickly as possible.”
Adelaide was silent for a moment. The faster they fight Uriel, the better……. When she heard that, a new method came to her mind. Something ingenious that even the smart Lisianthus couldn’t think of.
