Safeguarded the Borders for a Hundred Years, My Clan Was Burnt at the Stake - Chapter 27
This time, the Fergus Army had drawn seven generals from the empire, as well as the branch of the Sacred Court of the Fergus Empire and the brave men.
Each general was in charge of a hundred thousand men, and all of them were led by the Grand Marshal of the Eastern expedition.
They had already marched for three days, and finally reached somewhere near the East of the city, as they did not take many rest throughout the journey.
So the first thing they did when they came here was to set up camp. Because the soldiers were too dispersed, Melissa quickly disguised herself as a cook in the camp.
Because the camp had not been built yet, there was no time to cook.
Until that it was almost dark, the camp was finally built, and it was time for the cook to start cooking.
Melissa, who had blended in, put the laxatives that she had brought from the city into the pot.
Because of the special concoction, the poison would not take effect immediately after ingesting it.
Only when the creator had triggered the magic would the abnormality occur.
It took Melissa more than three hours to sprinkle the laxative in all the pots and drinking water in the camp.
When it was meal time, the soldiers lined up to collect their food. After disguising themselves, Melissa was helping to serve food to the soldiers.
They worked for a few hours until late at night, when everyone fell asleep peacefully.
Melissa woke up from the camp. She took out the magic communication on her waist and glanced at it. She found that the soldiers in the city had already set off.
She went to the empty space in the center of the camp and threw the magic tools that she had prepared beforehand.
She directly created a huge hole in the ground.
After all this was done, no one noticed. After looking around, Melissa threw the Sky-covering Dark Curtain into the hole.
A huge puff of smoke filled the air.
Because it was night time, the people around only thought that it was because of the weather and did not find it unusual.
However, the black smoke was a guiding light in the eyes of the undead. The black smoke appeared in the sky, and Hall raised the bone stake in his hand to activate the laxative.
The soldiers who had fallen asleep in the camp began to suffer from diarrhea. Almost half of the 600,000 soldiers reacted.
These people immediately left the camp and looked for a quiet place to resolve this urgent matter.
But they soon discovered a problem, and that was that outside the camp, it was filled with people suffering from diarrhoea.
This matter quickly alarmed the Grand Marshal of the Eastern expedition and the brave men.
Because the Grand Marshal and the brave men were proficient in magic, they soon saw the black smoke in the sky.
They prepared to go to the middle of the camp to investigate this matter.
Before they had time to search, they found soldiers all over the mountains having diarrhoea and the entire camp was covered in a strong stench.
“What’s going on!”
“Get out here, General!”
A soldier carrying a lone soldier passed by the Grand Marshal. When he heard this, he answered, “The General is also suffering from diarrhea. I don’t know where he is!”
Grand Marshal Austen’s face immediately frowned when he heard this. He realized there was something was amiss, but he could not do anything about it.
Just as he was trying to think of a solution, screams of fear came from the city again.
At this time, Melissa had successfully killed a general in the camp. Then, she wrapped herself in a black cloth and escaped.
Someone shouted, “help! The general died in the camp!”
The people around them all rushed out of the camp.
The shouting did not stop. It continued, but no one knew who was the person who shouted.
In the entire camp, the people with diarrhoea and the soldiers who had woken up by the shouting all collided.
Seeing this scene, Melissa laughed. She had never thought that she would be able to carry the plan out so smoothly.
However, this chaos had come too early. The troops from the walled city had not arrived yet.
Thus, Melissa immediately started to create other chaos. She first went to the Easternmost part of the camp and then found another General.
She observed his every move from the dark.
After finding that none of the soldiers in the camp had been poisoned, she disguised into a patrolling soldier.
She followed behind the patrolling soldiers and walked to a place with fewer people. Melissa immediately killed all the ten-man teams that were patrolling.
Then, she used death magic to transform these soldiers into zombies, and then sent them to the camp. She chose the camp of some ordinary soldiers, and let them go in and kill people crazily.
Soon, screams came from many of the camps. Melissa, who was hiding in the dark, never had enough tents in the warehouse to watch all of this.
Because of the fear of the unknown, these soldiers were completely terrified. The entire camp was thrown into chaos.
Taking advantage of the chaos, Melissa went to the water storage room in the barracks and destroyed all the buckets of drinking water.
Then, she set fire to all the barracks that stored grains.
After doing all this, Melissa left the Western camp and returned to the East. She realise that they had not found a solution for the diarrhoea.
So, Melissa transformed into the dead general again and stood in the middle of the barracks. The commanders of the soldiers who did not know the truth rushed to the West to save her.
More and more things were happening. Grand Marshal Austen was already in a mess.
He could only wait for everything to recover in his command camp. Even the soldiers around him had forgotten about it.
The Undead Army in the East was already after all. They looked at the camp that was already in chaos.
Hall directly gave orders to Hymin, Gerard, Landel, and Yamane to start slaughtering from all directions.
“Leave the main battle to me and Willis. All you need to do is continue to cause chaos!”
After the mission was completed, everyone performed their own duties, and the human camp in front of them became even more chaotic.
Screams continued to ring out, because it was completely impossible to determine where the enemy came from. Austen could only issue such perfunctory orders to meet the enemy head-on.
At this time, Hall’s army had already arrived at the campsite a few hundred meters away. They were all prostrating on the plains not far from the campsite.
After a few hours of struggle, the campsite finally calmed down.
All the soldiers had just finished marching, and the first night of rest had already exhausted them.
The soldiers who had just prepared to rest had just laid down to rest for a few minutes when Hall led an army of nearly 200,000 Undead to launch an attack.
The Austen Army had just sat down on the chairs. Before they could even warm their butts, they were startled by a series of shouts.
He quickly arrived outside the command camp and bumped into Hall, who was leading an army of Undead.
“You!”
“Ah!”
“Damned Undead!”
