Sage’s Cultivation: Mage in Cultivation World - Chapter 156
“Now I am convinced that my previous state when I came into this world was really stupid. How can I make a mistake in healing her? How can I unintentionally give her a Body ability when I didn’t even cast the Connection and Ability holder spell?”
Lucas was ashamed of himself. Did he actually do it? Or did he just accidentally cast it without his knowledge?
“Ah… Perhaps some unwanted personality was secretly using my body.” Lucas concluded.
Infuriated with himself, he continued inspecting Pearl’s body. He noticed a unique Body ability in her; it was the [Mutation through Illusion Ability].
This ability is one of a kind among body abilities that can make any illusion attachment to the user’s body seem real. It was a mutation ability that made illusionary attachments real.
Lucas was just thankful that Pearl had only learned how to create tentacles. If she had learned a much more difficult and dangerous illusion, she would’ve made it permanent on her body.
Plenty of attached illusionary objects could be used by this Body ability. However, not everyone has the same difficulty in controlling them. There are times when mutating those illusions could be permanent.
“Thank goodness Pearl can only activate it in a ferocious state. Hence, she can’t fully activate it and once she calms down, it disappears.” Lucas thought.
However, no one knows when the tentacles will become permanent if Pearl continues to use them.
“Let’s fix this. Now that I can’t take it, I will modify it instead.” Lucas just prayed that this process would succeed. Then, if he succeeds, after that, he will try to merge Pearl’s energy passages.

“Brother Ureff, why do you think Master changed? He didn’t mean to implement an ability for Pearl, right? How come he made that mistake?” Ellisa asked, with her pure curiosity. Even though the answer was obvious, she still wanted to ask about it as she couldn’t believe that Lucas would make such a mistake.
After all, she had lived with Lucas, a cold Lucas actually, who didn’t communicate with them for almost a century. Yet, here they are, witnessing Lucas repairing something that appears to be his own fault.
Ellisa had already deduced that Lucas was extremely worried about the process. His concentration in Magique Qi is even slightly reminiscent of water from a river that deluged a wasteland.
“You are being hysterical. Changes are normal for Master. Haven’t you seen him face plenty of different versions of himself? It was crazy.” Ureff replied, but Ellisa only made a dazed expression.
Ureff was also confused by it. Why would Ellisa act like that? But then when he remembered something, he grinned.
“Oh… Please forgive me. I forgot that you were being attacked by a human country. My bad.”
Ellisa just pouted, as while that event happened, Ellisa wasn’t able to go to Lucas’s side, as when she was on her way, she was attacked by a human country. At that time, she still wasn’t blessed by the ‘All-knowing Dragon’ Lucas had. Thus, she wasn’t able to communicate well with humans.
“What a great joke you have there, Ureff.” Ellisa glared at him.
“My bad. I didn’t mean it.” Ureff said with a slight giggle.
“Whatever,” Ellisa retorted. “Anyway, I feel like the [Connection] that Master said was indeed amazing. What if the worlds in different parts of the universe are connected?” Ellisa asked.
Ureff didn’t immediately reply to it as it was something that even Lucas wasn’t able to find an answer for. In their previous world, Lucas tried to search for a higher plane, something to ascend as another being. Probably being a god, but he failed to find any answers or clues.
It was something difficult to find, actually. Even something that could kill an immortal was hard, how about searching for any clue about a higher being than Lucas? It was something that he couldn’t manage to find an answer to.
So, when Lucas came to realize that it would be useless, even if he became a higher type of being, he wouldn’t still find the real essence of life as he was already an immortal. He only wanted to rest from the repetitive cycle of life.
“I don’t know. Vampires aren’t exactly interested in higher planes of existence. We only wanted to live longer; that’s all.”
“Even still, won’t it be amazing if we could go to another part of the world, different from the mortals?”
“This world is something like that. Why are you even searching for another one?” Ureff asked.
“I don’t know, Brother Ureff. Master didn’t mention anything after he was transported. Did he really study the sword? Or maybe he already knew the use of the sword but he didn’t tell us and just forgot anything about it. His personality changed, and his body as well. Any changes aren’t impossible at this point.”
Another silence broke. It was an intense feeling for him. That inkling in Ellisa’s head could be the reason why Lucas decided to use the sword. Even still, for whatever possible reason it might be, he was sincere in following Lucas.
“But now it feels different without lackeys. I want to create some kind of mine.” Ureff, out of nowhere, uttered something that made Ellisa dumbfounded.
“Why are you saying that out of the blue?” Ellisa asked.
“Sorry, it is natural for vampires to become like that. Apart from wanting to drink some blood, we wanted to have our own legion, which, surprisingly, I can suppress in this world. I find some of the humans unworthy of my essence.” Ureff reasoned.
“So, if that’s the case, why don’t you search for a way back to our world? You sound like you regret your decision.” Ellisa retorted.
“It’s not even possible. I cannot control space and don’t have any interest in learning space-distortion magic. I have my blood arts, but it is not enough to travel to different worlds. The reasons behind that don’t pique my interest.”
“So, why are you thinking about it? If it is natural, how come…. ugh never mind. Master is returning.”
Ureff then looked back at Lucas and saw him regulating his breathing. He let go of his hold on Pearl and then exhaled heavily.
And just at that, looking at Lucas, Ureff discovered that there was something wrong with Lucas’s body. His blood was as if changing its aura, and as a vampire, Ureff knows how blood smells, and Lucas’s was turning into something less similar to blood.
“What happened out there, Master?” Ureff worriedly asked.
“I accidentally gave Pearl an ability when I healed her in the past. It was something called [Mutation through Illusion Ability] and apparently, Pearl had decided to use tentacles as her mutation.” Lucas said, heavily panting as if he had run without any reinforcements.
Ureff and Ellisa were only silent, speechless by the fact that Ellisa was right about her speculation. Lucas was making faulty decisions and some mistakes that he couldn’t even manage to discern quickly. It just proved that something was changing in Lucas.
They were worried, of course, but they couldn’t do anything for Lucas as they were still weak compared to him. Also, they don’t even know how to communicate with Lucas, as he was entirely different from the past.
“Did you fix it, Master?” Ellisa asked.
“I could only modify it as I had learned that it was starting to become her foundation and, apparently, the reason why she was healed. I don’t know anymore. I just modified it by supplying some of my essences, just like I would do to you, my familiars.”
Ellisa and Ureff let out a heavy sigh as something happened that they didn’t expect. Lucas just made a familiar out of a pure human, and that means Lucas’s blood is now part of that human, making her part of Lucas’s bloodline.
“It would mean that she has partially become your daughter, right?” Ellisa asked, and Lucas nodded. “I am jealous.”
Lucas just shook his head and stood up. It wasn’t all of it, but he decided not to talk about it any further. It is a problem with himself, within him. So, he could just find a solution by himself.
In Lucas’s mind, there were plenty of things he was thinking about. But, on the surface, another personality was using his body and even dominating his main personality, which allowed Pearl to be accidentally given an ability.
He doesn’t know what the intention of that personality was, but it is not like he had never fought with one in his life. It was hard to communicate if he used the method using the Mind Cultivation he used to merge some of his personality.
However, it is too easy for him to handle if another personality gained its own body.. It is like talking to a different person and he is not afraid to reduce it into ashes, as he doesn’t need to worry about consequences since he isn’t in his world now.
