Saiyan System In The Immortal World - Chapter 17
[The host has received a pot of Ultra Divine Water.]
‘Holy Cow! Ultra Divine Water!’ Caol repressed the urge to jump for joy when he got this reward. This was very precious as it will help unlock his dormant potential. He quickly went back to the inn with Xin and Xiong.
Sitting on his bed, Caol was looking at the pot in his hands. This will provide a huge increase in his power level, and he might even be able to fight against Martial Ancestors by that time. The only problem was that this water was very poisonous, as only Goku survived it after drinking.
Even though he knew this was poison, Caol still didn’t hesitate to drink it. He poured the water onto a cup and filled it. Caol just closed his eyes and downed the whole cup in one go. Not long after, he felt excruciating pain. Caol felt like his body was being torn to pieces. His orifices started bleeding.
If not for his tenacious will, he would’ve let out a shout, but he didn’t. Caol grit his teeth. He felt his body weakening. He was losing control over his body. However, Caol felt something change inside him. After this strange occurrence, he felt his body grow stronger. Caol could feel his body again. The pain lessened and wasn’t as painful anymore. Soon, the pain stopped, and Caol survived this hurdle.
Caol immediately went and checked for his physical stats.
[Name: Caol Gwynt]

[Agility: 102.1]
[Intelligence: 78.0]
[Will: 100.5]
[System Currency: 10,063]
[Power Level: 78,800]
Caol underestimated the miraculous water. His power level shot up by another 28,300. This amount was more than half of his previous power level.
Now, what he needed to do was digest this time’s rewards. Caol needed to solidify his foundation. To do that, he needed to step on another level with his qi control. Caol had a list of what he had to do, but before that, he needs to go back to the sect.
Caol went with Xin and Xiong and exited Dragon City the next morning. It was going to be another long ride.
After about 4 days later, they were stopped from their journey when they passed by a small village. There weren’t any bandits or monster threatening the village. No, none of that stuff. What amazed them was that instead of a village, there was a 200m wide sinkhole. It wasn’t a strange sight for Xin and Xiong, but Caol was a bit curious on how this appeared. He felt sad about the villagers, but more surprised that the army has not even mobilized yet.
Caol went to the edge of the sinkhole. He looked down, but all he could see was endless darkness. Caol did not know what was at the end, and he was not sure if there were any survivors there. Xin went beside him and said, “Young Master, lately these holes kept appearing throughout the Continent. Some speculated this to be an attack by the Tiger Continent, while others believed that it was for another reason. Legends tell of a humongous creature that dwells under the Continent’s land. It sleeps for a whole 500 years, before surfacing aboveground for three days until it goes back beneath the earth. This is a very fearful creature if the legends are true, but legends are based upon something with a hint of truth.” Xin had fearful eyes while he was telling the story. Whether he believed the legends or not, it was still better to steer away from this. So, he asked Caol to go another route for them to go back to the sect.
While they were on their way, heading another route, Caol thought about Xin’s story. He believed this speculation more than an attack from the Tiger Continent. Caol just put this matter on the back of his mind, focusing more on their journey.
It took them 27 days to reach the sect from Dragon City. Caol, with the duo, went straight to Jade Peak. When they reached the mountain, Caol immediately looked for Granny Yu. She was sitting outside of her abode when she saw Caol running towards her. Caol hugged her, “Granny Yu, how have you been these years?”
Granny Yu just laughed, “Caol, oh Caol. You do know that a few years are like a blink of an eye to me. I’ve lived for thousands of years, 4,339 to be exact.” She showed loving care towards Caol, as if she was his mother.
“Caol, tell me about what happened to you during the almost four years you have been gone.” Caol told Granny Yu, from the sights of the different villages along the way to Dragon City. He told her about Master Jian, and his peculiar training, and his challenge to 100 people.
Granny Yu was smiling the whole time, listening to his stories. Throughout her whole existence, Granny Yu smiled the most when Caol became a part of her life. She was happy that Caol was alive and well.
Thinking about the upcoming war, Granny Yu could not help but be worried. She knew Caol was going to be at the frontlines as he is part of the Soaring Dragon Regiment. Granny Yu just hopes that Caol will be alive after this ordeal.
Caol stayed for a month and a half within the sect. Today was a very good day. The warm sun shining upon the peak. Clouds rising up in the air, accompanied by a nice breeze. Caol remembered the time when he was at the Caribbean, although with a lot more altitude.
It was not long before this scene was destroyed. A group of soldiers asked for entry within the sect. Caol checked to see if there was anything wrong. He was being recalled by the army.
What was the reason? The Continental War started!
