Saiyan System In The Immortal World - Chapter 20
It did not take too long before Caol and his group confronted the enemy elites. Back at the gates, Caol already took out the Pole, which will serve as his weapon during the war.
Each and everyone of them were nervous. They were too young to even be here. Compared to the army, the Soaring Dragon Regiment did not have any experience in the battlefield. Caol was trembling. He did not know if it was nervousness or excitement as they were going to battle for the first time.
They rode their horses, and when they were near the enemy, Caol started to swing his pole. He gripped the Pole with his left hand and swung to an elite’s chest. The strike was so hard that the elite was sent flying and hit another rider.
That elite was immediately trampled by horses and was smashed to a pulp. Caol had no time to think about what happened as he swung the pole again, this time lengthening it. It hit four people and it threw them off their horses. They survived the hit, but the elite forces of the Soaring Dragon Regiment was already upon them.
Their heads were flying as they were beheaded by the young elite force. By this time, everyone was in a bloodthirsty state, even Caol, however Caol suppressed himself and acted calmly. He was here to fight, but most importantly, protect the Continent’s soldiers and his group.
The fighting was even crueler than before.
As the enemy elites saw how Caol acted, they focused their forces on him as Caol was a huge threat. Caol was wantonly hitting the enemies with the Pole when a group of archers fired on his horse. They wanted to dismount Caol, so they wanted to kill his mount first. Caol sensed this and protected his horse from the attacks, however, there was just too many. Caol leaped and landed stably on the ground. He prevented any attacker from going near him. Archers were’nt of use as they might hit their allies.
The leader of the enemy elite group saw Caol and went towards him. This man dismounted on his horse and stood in front of Caol. The man was tall and had a scar the ran through his scalp to his neck. He did not have a left ear. He was exuding an enormous amount of pressure.
The people in this part of the battlefield made way for them. The enemy leader was known to be a brute and a duelist. He always wanted to kill the enemy commander by his own hands. Obviously, he already commanded his group to steer clear from his fight.
Caol was eyeing him and asked the system to check his power level.
[Name: Unknown]
[Power Level: 112,000 – Peak Martial Grandmaster]
This man was the most powerful enemy Caol has ever faced. He himself only had a power level of 78,800. Caol knew this was going to be a bit of a hard fight, but he wasn’t scared.
A red, mist-like aura started to form around Caol. It became more violent as time passed. After a few seconds, the aura was like a raging fire burning around Caol’s body. His qi started to multiply to ridiculous levels.
The enemy leader felt this and was surprised at the development. Now, he took his match more seriously.
As Caol only needed enough power to defeat the man in front of him, he only activated {Kaio-ken} x2, as he still had to fight after this. So, Caol wanted to save more energy in the next fights.
Caol’s power level kept increasing before it halted at a number – 157,600. This amount was enough to obliterate everyone in the Martial Grandmaster realm and, at the very least, fight against early Martial Ancestors.
To prevent any more matter to occur out of his hands, the enemy leader rushed towards Caol. He knew that this type of martial technique was very unstable and it cannot be prolonged. He wanted to try Caol’s battle prowess, if this teen was up to par.
Caol felt every movement around him was incredibly slow. He already knew what this man’s next move was going to be. To prevent that and to finish the fight earlier, Caol almost instantly neared the man’s chest. He was going to put this man’s pain into another level. Caol punched the guy’s ribs and almost broke the whole left side of his rib cage. He was not finished though, as he did an uppercut to the enemy’s stomach. The leader was knocked back a few meters before landing on his butt.
All of this happened slowly in Caol’s eyes, but in the eyes of the observers, it was lightning fast. The leader did not know if it was a good thing that his physique was obviously stronger, but he felt his whole torso give out. His rib cage puntured his heart, but he can still move.
Caol knew that prolonging this fight was just going to be harder for the enemy. So he showed mercy by ending his misery. Caol felt deep respect for the man, even in a chaotic place like a battlefield.
This part of the battlefield became silent. It was just too fast. When Caol started to spew out his aura to the enemy leader dying, it was only about 4 or 5 seconds.
The enemy elite’s eyes started to become bloodshot and wanted to get revenge. Caol was already expecting this way before so he started to gather qi into his palms right after he killed the leader. As Caol was charging for a few seconds now, he suddenly unleashed it onto the enemy forces.
Sounds of bones breaking and the land being torn apart can be heard after a flash of light. Caol launched a {Kamehameha}. This attack incinerated at least a few hundred people.
A bugle can be heard. It was the sound of the enemy’s retreat.
General Yang allowed them to do that and commanded the soldiers not to chase, as they were defending their territory.
As Caol and his group went back inside the city, cheers started to sound out. Caol and his group were the heroes of this battle as no one in the regular army can take care of an elite force that easily. The Soaring Dragon Regiment elites were all smiling and were very happy as they finally got recognition.
Caol was silent throughout before going in front of General Yang. General Yang patted him on the shoulders and said, “Good job, Caol!” Caol did a military salute before asking to be excused.
Caol went back to his room in the barracks. He just sat there on his bed. Contemplating. Looking at his hands. ‘That was an awful amount of people I killed today, yet I feel nothing. I only thought my body was the only non-human part of me, but it seems like I was wrong. My mind is starting to become more like a Saiyan.’
Caol just stared and just talked to himself before becoming tired and going to sleep.
