Saiyan System In The Immortal World - Chapter 23
Elder Yi and the other immortals were surprised as Granny Yu suddenly interrupted the battlefield. They were not worried though, as there were about 40 of them and only one Granny Yu.
When the group of immortals heard what Granny Yu said, they laughed. “With just you? Who do you think you are, old hag?” Elder Yi teased her. It was one against many.
Granny Yu looked at him. She did not bother with his antics. Granny Yu rapidly formed hand seals and whispered incantations. Slowly, golden gas proliferated around them all.
These gases formed mysterious symbols. Elder Yi and his group could not see through the profundity of the symbols as they were ancient. They were starting to get nervous as they protected themselves with their qi.
Granny Yu started levitating, while continuing her chants. She was filled with a very baleful aura, striking fear into every one’s hearts. Caol felt the menacing and deadly aura Granny Yu was surrounded by. He muttered unintentionally, “This is quite scary.”
At this time, one of the immortals in the group started to notice something. This chubby guy was very familiar with this aura. It was one of the legends in the Continents. “A-are you Mo Yu from the Immortal Gathering Sect?” Once this man said this, the others were shocked. It was a very renowned name in the Continents.
Elder Yi had an ugly expression on his face as he remembered the tales of Mo Yu, the Immortal Demon. An expert in the art of formations, known to be a very cold-hearted slaughterer when provoked. She was akin to a bee’s nest in the immortal circle. Elder Yi has not seen her before, but he has heard of her before.
They knew that they were getting cocky, allowing Granny Yu to set up her formation. The group of immortals joined their qi’s together and conjured an escaping spell. They needed to get out of the formation that was being set up. The group formed a semi-circle and formed their qi around them in a very specific way.
Caol, General Yang, and the others were just watching by the sidelines. They have never seen immortals fight against each other yet.
The whole battlefield created a deathly scene. The observers were silent, only the chants that came from Granny Yu can be heard.
The group of immortals successfully activated their spell. As they launched it, however, it only shifted them a little bit to their left. They turned around and saw Granny Yu staring at them.
She tweaked the spell of the group by using some of the symbols in the formation. As the group was gathering qi from the world, Granny Yu ingeniously invaded the spell with the symbols, changing the rules of the spell.
Elder Yi and the others could not believe what just happened. They thought the spell was going to work more effectively than that. The group did not know what Granny Yu did and just thought that they made some mistakes.
“As I said, all of you are going to die.” This sentence made the group panic. Elder Su, the woman who asked Elder Yi to finish the army faster earlier, shouted, “Don’t be so arrogant, old hag! We are not sca–” Before she could finish what she was saying, she exploded into a blood fog as a golden symbol made contact with her skin. A few more symbols headed to the other immortals, almost all of them died, except for Elder Yi.
Elder Yi was the strongest out of the lot, and when he saw the symbols nearing him, he used an ancient talisman he found when he was younger, and teleported about 300 meters.
The symbols were like homing missiles and started heading towards him again. He wasn’t prepared for this and just tried to fly away at a fast speed. Before Elder Yi could get away though, the other elders from the Dragon Continent caught up and encircled him.
Elder Yi had no way out. He knew he was going to die at this point. Then a crazed idea came into his mind. He looked at Caol. Elder Yi took out another talisman identical to the one he used earlier. This was his last one. Elder Yi had a total of four, but he already used two of them way back when he was younger.
Elder Yi used the talisman and suddenly appeared beside Caol. Having no time to react, Caol was held on his neck by Elder Yi.
“Haha, old demonic hag. I know this boy means something to you. I get killed, he dies with me.” Elder Yi hid behind Caol and raised him up by his neck.
Caol was struggling. He could not breathe right. Caol’s hands tried to pry Elder Yi’s hand but it was of no use. Elder Yi was a lot stronger than he is. Caol felt like he was super useless in this battle. He felt lacking as he only knew the {Kame Style Martial Arts} as his offense. Master Jian helped him control his qi better and enhanced his physical awareness, but he did not have any killer moves against the immortals.
Granny Yu looked calm on the outside, but she was panicking in her mind. She did not expect another one of those talismans, as they were very rare. Granny Yu and the other elders went around Elder Yi.
Caol’s face was almost purple. He did not have any or enough oxygen to supply his brain. Caol was in a very dire situation. ‘System, what can I do to get out of this situation?’ Relying on the system on this one was his only choice.
[As it is a full moon tonight, the host can allow the system to re-grow your tail. It would not help much, even with the power level increase, but it will allow the host to get free from his grasp. It will give the elders a split second chance to react. This is the only possible solution based on all simulations.]
‘Okay, I allow you to re-grow my tail.’ Caol did not hesitate to give his answer. As soon as he did, he felt an itch right on his tailbone. His tail grew and Caol felt like he had another arm.
Caol wasted no time and looked at the full moon. Slowly, Caol blacked completely.
