Saiyan System In The Immortal World - Chapter 24
Granny Yu was communicating with the other elders about their plan to rescue Caol.
As they were discussing, they suddenly noticed a change happening within Caol’s body. His physique was getting bigger. Caol was growing a lot of hair. The transformation caught them off guard, before Caol became a 30 feet tall ape.
Way before, Elder Yi had already lost grasp on Caol. Being in berserk mode, Caol attempted to swat Elder Yi away. Elder Yi saw the huge palm coming and met it with his palm. It was a huge amount of difference in size, but Elder Yi easily stopped Caol’s attack.
Elder Yi connected the pores in their palms and he twisted Caol’s hands. It was odd seeing an old man throwing a gigantic ape in the air. Granny Yu and the others immediately acted on this opening and got a hold of Elder Yi. Even though he was strong, Elder Yi was still no match for a group of elders. He got apprehended by Granny Yu, who imprisoned him inside a formation.
The giant ape stood up after being thrown and started a rampage. The ape saw Granny Yu and the immortals and designated them to be his targets. He opened his mouth and launched a beam of qi towards Granny Yu.
Granny Yu did not expect this attack, but it could not faze her. Something was wrong with Caol’s transformation, and she knew it. Granny Yu needed to stop this. Caol’s ape form was not strong enough to fight against her. He was easily beaten to the ground and got knocked out. Granny Yu tied him with the golden symbols as they turned into chains.
General Yang went up to them and immediately expressed his gratitude for the rescue. About 2 million soldiers died this night. It was a huge loss, and they needed to replenish that if they want to continue their attack against the Tiger Continent.
He ordered his aides to send messages to the Capital and figure out the solution for lack of manpower. Next, they needed to tend to the wounded. The medical practices in this world was not very skillful. The wounded were given recovery pills to ease them of their pain and stabilize their conditions.
They were not in a state to fight, as they needed rest. A lot of rest.
Granny Yu went beside Caol in his ape form and looked at him gently. Soon, as the sunlight came, Caol reverted back to his human form. He was butt naked and Granny Yu had to drape a robe over him.
It was a whole day after he reverted back that Caol regained his consciousness. He felt relaxed and full of energy. Granny Yu treated him the best she can as Caol was inflicted with a lot of severe wounds.
Caol sat on the bed, and said to Granny Yu beside him, “I’m sor-” Granny Yu hugged him before he could finish speaking. Caol felt deep pain in his heart as he made Granny Yu worry. The situation that happened was a very desparate one, and if it was not for their efforts and the elders’ timely help, all of them would have died. Caol just stayed silent as speaking was unnecessary.
Tiger Continent, Imperial Palace.
Inside a chamber, the leaders of the sects were gathered together. They were discussing about the failed ploy to decimate the Dragon Continent’s whole army. The immortal cultivators crossed the line of harming mortals, yet the still failed.
“The Emperor is very disappointed with this event. We have planned this for months, but we let an unknown kid buy some time for reinforcements to come. Reports say this kid was only about 14 years of age. A 14 year old fought against a sect elder. Do you know how much shame this caused us?!” The sect leader of a prestigious sect in the Tiger Continent, Heavenly Peak Sect, was fuming with rage. As one of the spokesperson of the sects to the Emperor, he was disappointed.
It was supposed to be an easy task, yet it was foiled. The middle of it all was an a kid. They knew they had to gather more information about him because of the talents he has shown.
The name ‘Caol Gwynt’ was starting to circulate among the sects.
Dragon Continent, Desolate Plains, Gate City.
Caol, and a few severely injured and disabled soldiers, went back to Gate City. They had to recuperate, but Caol also had another goal in his mind. He needed to look for his master and ask him to start phase two of the training. Caol did not want to be as helpless as the last battle.
Caol went with Granny Yu to the Capital, Dragon City. Once they were there, Granny Yu separated from him as she needed to report to the sect leader. Caol went straight to the army base, showed his medallion, and walked to Master Jian’s backyard.
Once Caol was in the backyard, he couldn’t see Master Jian. ‘Oh well, since this is the only place I can train in peace, why not use it?’
The atmosphere in this place was mellow. The sound of the stream flowing through, the leaves waving in the air, the birds chirping, and lots more to hear. Caol sat down, closed his eyes and calmed his mind.
He wanted to feel his surroundings better as it gave him a very gentle and kind feeling. It gave Caol peace of mind and heart. He hoped it would be eternal serenity.
