Saiyan System In The Immortal World - Chapter 4
17 hours later…
An old woman was seen flying down from the clouds. She entered her abode and went straight to a sleeping baby. The old lady didn’t know why but whenever she saw the child, it brought her a sense of joy and happiness.
“It must have been because I didn’t marry, thus not having had the chance to take care for a child.” The old woman did a hand seal which was meant to disintegrate the formation. She held the child, and after a few moments of hesitation, she brought him up into the clouds, heading someplace else.
Dragon Continent, Annro Mountain Ranges.
A grand, majestic chain of mountains can be seen from afar. Some people might even call it paradise as this is the place of an immortal sect.
An old lady carrying a child stopped at the top of one of the mountains and started approaching nine tall and imposing men with swords by their waist. When they recognized the old woman, they immediately saluted, “Greetings, Elder!” The old lady nodded then immediately went inside the gate guarded by the men. The gate shot out light which went straight for a mark on the old lady’s hand. It automatically opened, giving way for the old woman to go in.
Inside the gate, streams of people are walking around like a busy city. The old lady didn’t bother to mix with them as she immediately vanished from her spot. Nobody noticed her disappearance. She went straight to a palace that gave off an ancient feel. The old lady entered the palace, being greeted by all the servants there. She went inside a room.
The room had 12 sophisticated chairs, with two of them being above the others. A dignified man was sitting on top of a chair when he noticed the old lady carrying a child.
“Senior sister Yu, what brings you here? Who is this child you brought?” The man was surprised as his senior sister would not just bring anybody with her.
“Junior brother, I found him in a city. He was abandoned by his parents, left to die, so I decided to take him under my care.”
“It is disheartening to see a child left by his parents to fend for himself. Alas, he has no spiritual roots. It is impossible for him to have the longevity we have, senior sister. Even if he reaches the highest stage of martial arts, it won’t match up to us old codgers. He might just bring you sadness once he leaves this world with his limited lifespan.”
The old lady obviously thought this through, she had a hint of determination in her eyes. “I know, as I have lived for thousands of years. What is a mortal’s lifespan in my eyes? However, I will not give up this child as I feel that he will live brilliantly within his life. Junior brother, I will let him decide if he wants to practice the martial way or live as a mortal in the future. Whatever he chooses, I will look after him in his lifetime.”
The old woman left the room inside the palace and headed straight to a mountain. She went into a cave which was spacious inside and laid the baby beside her. She sat crossed legged and started meditating.
‘Immortality, huh? I can’t wait to train so I can achieve that too!” Caol was grinning as he knew that there are beings in the Dragon Ball Universe that may have achieved that, and that he can achieve that too, albeit very long.
Dragon Continent, Immortal Gathering Sect, Jade Mountain.
A young kid of about 4 years old can be seen doing push-ups. If any mortal was to see this scene, they will be shocked as this is not a very common occurrence. There was an old lady by the side of the kid as he was training.
‘497… 498… 499… 500. Haaa, at last. I did 500 push ups. Now all I have to do is finish my sit-ups and pull-ups to get that juicy newb gift.’ “Granny Yu, do you still have one of those Recovery Pills? Give me 2, no 3 pretty please?” This kid is Caol and it has been more than 4 years since he was brought to the sect by Elder Yu.
Granny Yu gave him 3 cream-colored pills, to which Caol hurriedly snatched away. He immediately put one in his mouth. After a couple of minutes, the pill gave him a sense of comfort and energy.
“Caol, why do you have to be hard on yourself? Children usually start when they are 5 years of age before starting on their respective paths while you started a year earlier.”
“Well Grandma, it’s just fun and I want to do a Kamehameha. That’s why I’m training.” Caol was starting to imagine himself doing it and devastating all his opponents.
“What is this Kamehameha you are talking about?” Granny Yu was curious. ‘I’ve never seen him reading any book, so where did he get this word from? What kind of technique is this?”
“Granny, a Kamehameha is when I draw my qi into my palms, gathering and condensing it, before shooting it to hit my enemies.” Caol was doing the pose as he was narrating.
“Oh, you mean this?” Granny Yu gathered a fearful amount of immortal qi into her hands before shooting it on a hill nearby.
*BOOOM*
After an earth-shaking tremor, the hill was decimated, along with it other hills.
Caol was stupefied by the result, before shaking and being excited. ‘Holy sh*t! Granny is a Saiyan too!’ “Granny can you teach that to me please?” He was trying hard on putting the cutest eyes he could possibly do.
“This is not something that is easy to learn at your stage. Only immortal practitioners in the early stage can practice this. You would have to reach at least the Martial Ancestor realm before you can condense and gather qi and compressing it enough to be lethal. That is still a long way for you, kid.”
“Well, I guess I still have time.” ‘System open the menu please! I want to check my progress.’
