‘It looks like I have a pretty balanced physical stat. Now my next goal will be practical experience. I need to start doing Quest 2. I guess Granny Yu can help me look for sparring partners.’ Caol went beside Granny Yu.
“Granny, I would like to try getting fight experience now. Is there any way for you to help me with that?”
“Of course I have a way, Caol. Most servants in the sect are martial practitioners and they can be of great help to you. Let me call some servants here.” Granny Yu sent a message through telepathy to 10 servants. Not long after, 5 male and 5 female servants can be soon from afar. They simultaneously greeted Granny Yu and Caol, as he was also a bit famous for being under Granny’s care.
“I called you here today because Caol would like to have some fighting experience. I know that all of you are at least of the Martial Master realm. Just surpress your cultivations to the peak of Martial Disciple.” Granny Yu has been with Caol during his training, and with her acute senses, she knew exactly how strong the opponents Caol will have a slightly difficult time with.
The servants complied and started following Caol to a spacious place. The first one to come up was a thin guy. He formed a fist on his right and a palm on his left in front of his chest and bowed slightly, “Young Master Caol, this lowly one’s name is Xiao. I hope you’ll go easy on me.”
Caol also did the same pose and said, “Brother Xiao, I seek your guidance.” He went on with his fighting stance.
The pressure was building up and Caol felt like everything around him became silent. He focused on the servant’s body. Caol’s mind was clear. ‘This must have something to do with my Saiyan blood. Saiyans are known for being a fighting race, and this calm but vigilant state helps me a lot.’
Xiao saw that Caol was ready and made the first move. He surpressed his cultivation base to a peak martial disciple, but it was still fast for Caol’s eyes. Xiao aimed for Caol’s chest with a simple punch.
‘So fast!’ Caol dodged the punch, but was immediately greeted by a roundhouse kick to his face. Knowing that he had no time to dodge it, he forcefully blocked the kick with his shoulders and guarded his face with both of his hands. The kick sent him flying for about 2 meters before stabilizing his body.
Xiao stopped before asking, “Are you alright, Young Master? Should we continue?” Xiao was very surprised at Caol’s reaction speed. He was on the 5th stage of the Martial Master realm with tons of fighting experience under his belt. Xiao knew that Caol was about 5 years of age. This was about the time children with the resources to train started. He himself started training when he was about 11, after being brought as a servant for Granny Yu. Now, seeing a kid, who just turned 5, with the capabilities and physique of someone nearing the peak of the martial disciple realm was enough to change his views about Caol.
The other 9 servants were as shocked as Xiao. They couldn’t put this into words. They all thought about the time when they were at Caol’s age and how they were not even on the martial path.
“It’s alright, let’s continue.” Caol shook his shoulders, which is numb and throbbing. ‘Well, I guess I can still use it. With an immortal beside me, I wouldn’t have to worry about recovery.’
Xiao nodded and waited for Caol to get into his fighting stance. Once again, he made the first move. Xiao threw a low kick to Caol’s left thigh. Caol expected it and jumped into Xiao with a knee to the chest. Xiao blocked it with his palm and guarded for any punches. Caol expected his knee to be blocked and placed his legs behind Xiao’s foot in a smooth and fast manner. Using his powerful body, he stepped in and slammed himself into Xiao. As Xiao was retreating, he didn’t notice Caol’s legs behind his feet, so he tripped and landed on his butt. Caol immediately threw a punch onto Xiao’s face, but immediately stopped when it was inches away.
“Brother Xiao, thank you for your guidance.” Caol cupped his fist and popped a recovery pill in his mouth.
Xiao was still dazed but recovered himself quickly. He stood up and thanked Caol for showing mercy before heading to the other servants.
“Granny Yu, can we continue, please?” Caol asked as he was still on a ‘fight high’ and was eager to go for more. Granny Yu nodded and a woman immediately stepped up and cupped her fist.
“Young Master Caol, this lowly one’s name is Xue’er. Please go easy on me.”
“Sister Xue’er, please.”
This time, Caol made the first move. He knew that this lady was way stronger than him, so he had no reservations. Caol went in front of her and threw a frontal kick to her abdomen. Xue’er smiled at this scene and shifted her feet before using her palm to redirect Caol’s kick to her side. Caol was a bit shocked but immediately stabilized both of his feet, before turning and launching an attack with his elbow. Xue’er saw this and tapped the elbow lightly before pulling it towards her as she retreated.
Seeing this, a lot of things went on in Caol’s mind. ‘My attacks are of no effect to her. She tapped my elbow causing me to lose my concentration, thus weakening the strike before pulling it.’
As Xue’er still has a grip on Caol’s elbow and forearm while retreating, she stopped before abruptly pushing it above his head. This time it was Caol’s turn to land on his back.
From afar, you can see a boy being tossed around without landing any strikes on a lady.
This fight was a miserable experience for Caol.
