Saving The Future - Chapter 29 ADHD
Neer stood in front of Aariv.
“Lights, camera and… action,” Aariv said with a wave of his hand.
Neer was oblivious of what Aariv wanted and confusingly looked at Aariv.
“Wa…What action?” He asked.
“When I say action, you are supposed to start speaking about the message you want me to give your parents,” Aariv explained.
“Okay, take 2 and… action” Aariv was clearly enjoying the roleplaying.
This time Neer started speaking.

“Mother, father. I hope you are fine, I am sorry that I couldn’t come and save you because I died 30 years ago. Do not mourn for me as I have found a better life now. I have become a Yaksha.” he started flying in the air to show that he was no longer human.
Then he continued. “My body can not be seen by mortals which is why I wasn’t able to contact you, but I finally found someone who could see me. He will help you start a new life, and I have also sent you some gifts, please accept them. Do not come to look for me because I have renounced all my worldly desires and now my only duty is to protect the forest. Thank you for everything.” Neer spoke everything in a monotonous voice, which was understandable.
Aariv knew that this would hurt Neer’s parents but it was necessary to make them move on.
…
[GROWL]
Aariv looked at the little cub in the baby carrier on his chest, the little cub looked around and then lifted its face up to look at Aariv.
Aariv’s heart melted when he looked at the cute, furry and chubby face of the cub. It looked like a teddy bear. but then he thought about the upcoming crisis. The baby must be hungry and even if he ran at full speed it would take him 3 hours to reach the city.
Soon he heard the screams of the cub. He looked at Neer and asked, “Is there any lactating cow or sheep nearby?”
Neer thought for a bit and nodded,
“Yes there is a herd of cows nearby, but I don’t know how you’ll get their milk. They are wild animals you know.” Neer said.
Aariv didn’t know how he was going to get the milk but he had to get it by any means. The cub was screaming more and more.
“Follow me,” Neer said.
After a few minutes they reached the place. Aariv saw a herd of cows grazing the grass. He marked a cow and slowly moved towards it but the second they saw him they became violent as they had calves with them.
Aariv had no choice but to go back. He knew that cows weren’t violent creatures but to save their babies they would not care about their own life.
He ran his brain at full speed and finally came up with an idea.
He put the cub on the ground and used telepathy to make the cows perceive the cub as one of their calves.
Aariv then levitated the cub’s body and sent it near a cow, whose calf’s image Aariv copied. He made the cub fly near the nipples and it instinctively started drinking the milk.
Aariv jumped with joy seeing everything go smoothly.
While the horse was feeling dumbfounded looking at a lion’s cub sucking a cow’s nipples. A predator drinking its prey’s milk. He tried very hard to think why the cows were letting that happen but his little brain could not come up with a solid reason.
“The master must have bewitched the cows” He was unknowingly right.
Juno was currently having fun flying in the sky with Jojo so she didn’t see the whole scene.
After 15 minutes of feeding, the cub was full.
Aariv also disguised himself as a calf and milked some cows to get milk for the future. He stored the milk in his leather water bottle.
When everything was done he once again put the fluffy cub in the baby carrier and walked to the horse.
The horse was deep in thought so he didn’t realize that Aariv had come close.
“Oy, dumb horse, don’t use your brain too much, it’ll malfunction” Aariv scoffed.
“Oh master, yes yes let’s go,” Horse said, totally ignoring Aariv’s word.
He sat on the back of the horse and signaled Neer to lead them to his cave.
…
After 20 minutes of walking, they reached a small mountainside. There was a small cave entrance in front of them.
“Welcome to my humble abode,” Neer said as he signaled for them to enter.
Neer went in first and Aariv followed. He left the horse outside because the cave entrance was too small for it.
“Wait here and don’t go somewhere chasing butterflies” Aariv warned and went inside the cave.
The horse made an ugly face behind Aariv’s back.
“When did I ever do that?” he thought.
“Oh what’s that?…”
…
Aariv was inside a dark cave following the glowing body of Neer.
When they reached the end of the cave he saw a huge pile of random things. There was gold and silver mixed in it, many armors were also there which Neer probably got from dead poachers.
There wasn’t anything that interested Aariv, he just looked around in the pile of goods. He didn’t need money as he had enough, he didn’t need armors as they were all of low quality.
He was looking at things and suddenly he heard a sound.
[CLANK]
He looked at the sound’s origin and saw a stone stuck to a sword. He went near and found something that finally made him interested.
It was a lodestone. A naturally formed permanent magnet. It was used to make the first compass in Han dynasty China (20 BC – 20 AD). Looking at the lodestone Aariv got another idea in his mind.
He was preoccupied with thinking about making a long-ranging communication device that he forgot he could make so much more.
He was already going to make solar panels with graphene which was 20% more efficient than silicon panels. That would mean that he would have enough electricity to generate big enough magnetic field to make strong magnets.
With magnets, he’ll be able to make motors and motors could be used in wind turbines, water turbines, etc to make more electricity.
As long as he had enough electricity he’d also be able to make bots that could assist him in making more stuff.
He originally wanted to make a Fusion reactor but that required too much energy which was not possible at the moment.
~Alright, when I leave the city for Himalaya next month, I’ll take over some random mountain kingdom and conduct experiments there.~ he decided in his mind.
He excitedly picked up the lodestone and put it in his pocket. He was happy with what he got and was not interested in anything else.
“That’s it, you just want a weird stone?” Neer asked in confusion.
“Haha, you have no idea what you just gave me. Someday I’ll come back and show you my creations.” Aariv replied happily.
“I’ll be waiting then,” Neer said.
Aariv then approached Neer and shook his hand.
“It was great meeting you Neer, I’ll tell the prime minister to send soldiers to clean up poachers every once in a while. I’ll make sure to find your parents and get them out. It’s time for me to go back now,” Aariv said.
Neer nodded and didn’t say anything. He just looked at Aariv’s returning back with a smile.
…
When Aariv came out of the cave he looked at the sky and guessed the time remaining for sunset. He was sure that he’d be able to get out of the jungle before sunset but reaching the city was not possible. He could run in the night if he was alone but he wasn’t sure about the dumb horse’s abilities.
“Speaking of that dumbass, where is he?” Aariv looked around and couldn’t find the horse.
He told Juno to look for him from the sky and found the horse surrounded by a pack of wolves.
[BAM]
Aariv kicked the ground with all his strength and rushed to the horse, he took big leaps above trees with each step. Within 15 seconds he reached the place with a loud thud. All the wolves were surprised to see the sudden human.
They started growling at Aariv. He wasn’t interested in fighting all of them so he jumped on the biggest wolf of the pack, who was also the alpha. The alpha was surprised with sudden attack but it’s pride stopped it from getting scared.
Aariv punched the wolf with little to no strength and broke one of its fangs and then held it in his arms beside his chest, choaking it. Aariv was worried about the cub getting injured so he had already made it levitate some meters above the ground.
Soon all the wolves got scared but still didn’t ran away as their alpha was still there. Aariv was just going to make it fall unconscious but then he heard a scared voice in his mind.
“Mercy, Mercy… please don’t kill me”
Aariv was surprised to hear that, he understood that the alpha must have the ability to speak.
“You can speak,” Aariv asked the wolf with telepathy.
The wolf was so surprised when it heard the voice that it even forgot it’s pain and stopped moving.
“Oh my god, you can speak to me human” The wolf said but then it remembered the current trouble it was in.
“Please don’t kill me, I’ll… I’ll give you all my wives in return” it said in a rushed tone.
Aariv’s face fell when he heard the wolf’s proposal. He now had confirmed that although some animals could talk, they still didn’t have a very high intelligence quotient.
But he stopped himself from having this prejudice because he was yet to meet talking Elephants, Dolphins and Chimpanzees who were scientifically proven to be more intelligent than other animals.
“Shut up, I don’t want your furry wives, Just go away from here,” Aariv said as he loosened his grip.
The wolf rushed away from Aariv the moment it found the chance but instead of running it stopped and looked at Aariv and then to the female wolves.
“You sure you don’t want one of my beautiful wives?” The wolf said while looking and admiring his wives.
Aariv got irritated and kicked the ground, making a loud sound and scaring all the wolves.
“Okay… Okay. I am leaving” alpha said and left with the pack.
With the danger gone the horse came close to Aariv and tried to lick him.
“Masteeeeer… I thought I was going to die today” the horse cried.
“I didn’t come here for you, I came for my goods” He said and inspected the bags on horseback.
“By the way, How did you end up here? I clearly ordered you to wait for me at the cave entrance.” Aariv asked.
~I don’t think I should tell the master that I was chasing those cute butterflies~ The horse thought.
But Aariv was already using telepathy and reading his mind, he knew that the horse would try to lie.
[SMACK]
He fist-bumped the horse’s head.
Aariv had no idea what to say and now he was sure that his horse was a special case in the small speaking animal community because it was impossible, even for an animal to be this dumb.
“Maybe you have ADHD(attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)” He said and sighed looking at the horse.
