- Chapter 471: Fifth World: Wrong Timing For Flirting
Qie Ranzhe suppressed a smile as he spun them both around slashing at the snakehead that was trying to sneak up behind Zhao Zhi’s back. Black calamity struck the Snake’s eye making it hiss in pain. “You are the clumsy one,” he said with his hands now the ones wrapped tightly around Zhao Zhi’s waist.
“Oh god. You are still flirting even in this dangerous situation? I am starting to think your dog food will kill me before this beast does,” complained Machu feeling rather left out. He had to endure Shao Lan and Dai Yu now these two.
Qie Ranzhe didn’t respond to Machu’s blabbering leering at Zhao Zhi with a highly suggestive malign expression like he was stripping him naked with his eyes. Wen Qinxi couldn’t stand being stared at like that blushing like a timid bride. “I, we have to take down this beast first….. *ahem… I will go first,” he said freeing himself from Qie Ranzhe’s grasp.
But just as he thought he was free to leave his waist was grasped tightly once more and his body dragged back into the man’s embrace. Qie Ranzhe’s gaze fell on Zhao Zhi’s soft lips as he slowly crept closer.
Their lips touched causing a massive explosion in their senses as their hearts beat in sync combined as one. Wen Qinxi’s lips parted as though granting Qie Ranzhe permission to explore and claim his territory. He was hungry for more but the timing was obviously off hence he was bound to be disappointed.
Miyu Ren couldn’t help but feel disrespected. He was beginning to question whether this was a fight or a scene from the movie Mr and Mrs Smith. He launched an attack aimed at Zhao Zhi but before the dark shadow could strike its target it was intercepted by one of the heavenly rings resulting in the abrupt end of the lovers’ kiss.
“You can’t blame me for this. You two have zero sense of awareness,” said Miyu Ren sitting in the lotus position mid-air.
Qie Ranzhe ignored him staring at his lover’s misty eyes and flushed face which looked especially tantalizing.
“How about we get this over and done with so we can carry on with what we were doing?” asked Qie Ranzhe before swallowing his saliva with lustful eyes.
“Ah…. yes, yes…. sure. Let’s *ahem,” stammered Wen Qinxi feeling discontented. This is why this villain had to be dealt with. Miyu Ren was seriously screwing with his sex life.
Qie Ranzhe lightly chuckled as he kissed Zhao Zhi’s forehead with heart warning tenderness that had this nerd’s heart-melting into a puddle. The sect leader reluctantly let him go issuing out orders to take charge of the situation.
The present sect leaders and elders weren’t too pleased with this young sect leader who is still too wet behind his ears. But ever since he showed up they seemed to be making good progress more progress than they were making earlier.
Though unwilling, they were forced to listen to him otherwise they would be seriously putting the entire world at risk. Qie Ranzhe’s strategy was rather simple. He wanted this beast restrained at any cost which implored everyone’s ability regardless of cultivation rank. The body count drastically reduced when he showed up as their attack was more organized than before.
Wen Qinxi leapt up further into the sky with the snakehead following after him but before it could touch his tippy toes it was struck by Qie Ranzhe’s soul suppressing chain strangling its neck. The chimera’s skin was difficult to penetrate which is why their swords were rather useless but strangling was effective.
The chain tightened as Qie Ranzhe tugged on the chain pulling it back down. The snake hissed as a blazing flame spread from Qie Ranzhe’s hands up to the part of the chain wrapped around the snake’s neck. The hiss turned to a high pitched shrill as it shifted its attack towards Qie Ranzhe.
Wen Qinxi drew something in the air with his eyes closed drawing water in all forms towards him. If this was in the Qie sect it would be relatively easy as the landmark had various lakes. Wen Qinxi had to compromise drawing water from the trees and wells around the sect towards him.
The lush green trees were robbed of all their water till they shrivelled up into crispy dry brunches that could easily crumble at the tap of a finger. Because he was drawing water from the most difficult of places he exerted so much strength tiring him out.
Fine droplets of water soon gathered around him and when he was certain he had gathered enough water he opened his glowing blue eyes and stretched out his hand with the droplets joining together to form an intricate net. Though made of water the net was formidable enough to hold down the beast in place.
Beads of cold sweat formed on Wen Qinxi’s forehead as he fought to press down the net as the beast struggled with an aggressive roar. The goat head tried to move up and breathe fire on the net but Dai Yu’s whip wrapped around the goat head’s neck holding it down. Shao Lan swung his sword at that moment cutting off the goat’s tongue that was sticking out.
“Machu hold this!” yelled Qie Ranzhe referring to the chain that was still holding down the snakehead. Machu immediately ran over grabbing the chain disregarding how hot it was. Qie Ranzhe lifted his arms and the two rings obediently appeared in his hands.
With no second thought, Qie Ranzhe leapt right into the lion’s mouth startling Wen Qinxi who was struggling to hold back this vile creature. It wasn’t only Wen Qinxi who was shocked but Miyu Ren as well. He thought he was crazy but it turned out that Qie Ranzhe was crazier than him.
There was no use in denying it. What he thought was impossible was now becoming a reality. He had to retreat and capture the queen, feed her his blood and harvest the mermaid’s dantian when it is ripe. After that, he would become the most powerful being that even the heavens would bow to. Just like that he vanished reappearing a few feet away from the Zhao sect.
Desperate, he drew the array with his blood to enter the secret realm of that yao but no matter how hard he tried it wouldn’t open. Vexed he tried several times more but it was pointless. “Hahahaha…. good one. Very good one,” he said to himself with an eerie smile.
This had to do with the trident leaving the secret realm with Zhao Zhi so he could no longer enter as he pleased. He swore in anger with crazed eyes as he destroyed his surroundings with his menacing shadows.
That is when he had a moment of inspiration. He couldn’t take the queen nor Zhao Zhi who was overprotected. This left him with one other plausible candidate.
“Qie Xieling,” he whispered before vanishing into thin air once more.
