Saving the overbearing CEO - Chapter 476: Fifth World: Never Offend Lin Lin
‘Forgiveness is the best form of love. It takes a strong person to say sorry and an even stronger person to forgive – Yolanda Hadid.
This quote is inspirational but to Qie Xieling’s ear, it was a lot of bla bla bla and white lotus nonsense right now. He had just been scared out of his wits when his Shixiong was stabbed by Zhao Huangzhi and could have lost him if he hadn’t successfully tapped into his other half from the yao clan.
He was still so pissed especially after his parents ditched him without notice. This meant when he walked outside he resembled a porcupine with its quills standing up ready to attack. He was both cute and terrifying at the same time.
The three looked at him when he walked out but found his aura was somewhat off. Thinking he was traumatized by his earlier experience Dai Yu instinctively wanted to hug him. Her little dumpling had never suffered any major grievances despite being so arrogant to outsiders. But now he was forced to go through so much in such a short space of time. There had to be some type of psychological trauma, right?
She was about to stand up from a certain someone’s lap when Qie Xieling directly walked over to Zhao Huangzhi. Machu had really done a number on her doing what he should have done to Mingxia. Her entire body was ridden with lacerations and the entire floor was covered in blood as she struggled to crawl away.
Machu seemed like an entirely different person with a smudge of blood on his cheek. It might seem rather cruel but if she had succeeded in her plan then they would have to endure a lifetime of a blackened Qie Ranzhe and none of them would want that. This should serve as a warning lest someone tries to pull off such a silly stunt ever again.
Tales of how the most sought after lady of the Zhao sect attempted to murder sect leader Qie’s wife would spread like wildfire and so would the tales of the consequences of her actions. That ought to deter any brainless buffoon but what Qie Xieling did right after would have everyone jumping into bushes the moment they see Zhao Zhi in the future.
One might ask why is that? It’s because Qie Xieling crouched down before Zhao Huangzhi glowering at her as though looking at a dead woman. Her face was ashen pale as she had lost a lot of blood. She was barely conscious but recognized Qie Xieling’s figure.
Stretching out her hand she mumbled something most likely pleading with him to save her but she was asking the wrong person. Qie Xieling’s expression remained cold and aloof which was a big contrast to his usual goofy appearance.
His cold indifferent gaze swept between the hand that was trying to hold him and Zhao Huangzhi’s face. He grasped her hand and forced it down before saying, “it’s clear to me that you don’t want to live otherwise you wouldn’t have tried to kill the man who gave birth to me in cold blood,” in a soft yet menacing voice.
Zhao Huangzhi could barely make a sound from all the pain but her face showed her reaction clearly. It was the look of surprise, shock and regret but that didn’t move Qie Xieling. He rubbed his chin with his index finger before saying, “I am sure you know the saying an eye for an eye. Naturally, that should tell you something.”
As soon as he said this a flame similar to Qie Ranzhe’s appeared on the palm of his hand. It was somewhat smaller than his father’s giving off an illusion of cuteness that one couldn’t resist the urge to say, “Aw.” But two seconds later the cute flame grew thrice in size with the reddish-gold flame blended in with a white light creating a marble effect that was both beautiful and terrifying.
The flame reflected in Zhao Huangzhi’s glossy eyes as she completely broke down. “Don’t worry, I will find your father and make sure he suffers the same fate. It’s his fault anyway for raising a black-hearted person like you so it’s only right he takes responsibility,” he said with a stiff smile before setting her ablaze.
This was the most painful punishment because Zhao Huangzhi clearly felt the pain of her flesh being burnt but the torture seemed endless. The blaze didn’t kill her for a very long time despite burning her skin ceaselessly.
Her blood-curdling screams echoed throughout the peak making Dai Yu’s blood run cold. This nephew of hers might seem harmless on the surface but he was just as crazy as his father. Zhao Huangzhi’s body burnt for over two hours without death. Qie Xieling only permitted her to die when he was sure the well deserved punishment had been perfectly executed.
The oppressive aura surrounding him suddenly disappeared like he had vented out all his grievances. Under everyone’s horrified gazes he returned to his goofy self with a beaming smile.
“What tha….. are you sure you are okay?” asked Machu placing a hand on his forehead checking if he had a fever or something.
Qie Xieling replied, “I am fine but you have a little something on your cheek,” pointing at Machu’s cheek. The three people had so many questions like how his strength had drastically improved in just a space of a few days or what sort of tonic they gave him in the yao kingdom that changed him this much but they didn’t even get the opportunity to ask because Qie Xieling suddenly walked away.
Machu wiped off the blood on his cheek and asked, “Where are you going?” following behind.
Qie Xieling pointed in the direction of the ice cave where the Zhao sect leader was being held. “To fulfil my promise of course,” he said as a matter-of-factly before disappearing into Zhao Zhi’s home.
“Remind me never to offend Xieling,” said Shao Lan looking at what remained of Zhao Huangzhi. It was a body outline made of ash and nothing else.
Dai Yu grasped his chin turning him to face her and said, “Just don’t break my heart and you will be fine.”
Shao Lan looked at her with a serious expression. “That would never happen,” he replied with their gazes locked together. With these words said in such a serious tone how could Dai Yu be immune? She had fallen hard and her heart was snatched by Shao Lan in a short amount of time.
While others were showcasing the dawn of sweet romance others were connecting in an x-rated way in the Qie sect. Maybe it was the thought of almost losing Zhao Zhi or a primal instinct that had Qie Ranzhe so riled up that he just had to kidnap his wife right under his son’s nose.
Whatever the reason, Wen Qinxi found himself in a hot smutty scene straight from the 80s. To fully understand how he landed himself in this situation let’s go back to the moment they vanished.
