Saving the overbearing CEO - Chapter 500
Have you ever wondered what the drunk Wen Qinxi would behave like? Probably just tap out and sleep it off immediately, right? Or maybe become loud and rowdy? Well nope, he was far worse than that. To fully understand how this became Wen Qinxi’s biggest regret let’s go back twelve hours ago.
When he arrived at the nightclub of Wen Danzhe’s choice, he assumed there would be just him and his brother since he specifically instructed him not to invite his crazy friends. But when he got at the VIP lounge which he obviously would be paying for, Wen Danzhe wasn’t alone.
He had his two friends with him who Wen Qinxi named idiot one and idiot two. These two minions had been Wen Danzhe’s friends since high school and were even going to the same university. There was nothing to complain about them except when alcohol is involved. The chemical reaction in the presence of alcohol was highly explosive and nothing good ever came out of it.
He was seriously considering just walking out of here. Just turn around and walk away but as soon as his foot shifted to leave he heard his brother call out to him, “Stop right there!”
Wen Qinxi pressed his lips into a thin line cursing internally. “Fuck your 20/20 vision….. tsk, how did you even see me in this dim-lit room?” asked Wen Qinxi as he walked over sluggishly.
Wen Danzhe didn’t have time to respond when Tiao Ru a.k.a. idiot one stood up and embraced him in a big hug. “Qi-ge, I haven’t seen you in a long time. Come, come let’s drink….. I heard you got dumped so let us your little brothers help you drown your sorrows,” he said guiding him to sit in the middle.
Pai Dui a.k.a. idiot two poured out some vodka into a shot glass and handed it over to him, “Qi-ge, here. Today we are here to serve you,” with a beaming smile.
Wen Qinxi was hesitant starring at the shot glass. He had a premonition that something very bad was going to happen but Wen Danzhe nudged him and the moment he took that shot there was no turning back.
Three shots in things got pretty interesting marking the manifestation of an unbridled nerd. “I feel so hot. Is it just me?” he said taking off his overcoat followed by pulling up the sleeve of his sweater. His face seemed normal so Wen Danzhe took the overcoat and gave it to Pai Dui to put it in his car.
Meanwhile, Wen Qinxi seemed dissatisfied. He took a sip of his cocktail while pulling up his sweater exposing part of his toned abdominal muscles. “Shit…. put that down. Are you planning on stripping?” asked Wen Danzhe in an admonishing tone while pulling down his brother’s sweater.
Wen Qinxi even dared to pout while grumbling like he had been wronged. “I feel hot…. so I should take it off,” he said pulling Wen Danzhe’s ear till it turned red.
“Ah shit… are you drunk already?” replied Wen Danzhe peeling off those unruly fingers that were gripping tight like a ferret.
Wen Qinxi finally let go and denied it. “I am not wasted I am just hot. There is a fuckin difference,” said Wen Qinxi but Wen Danzhe didn’t buy it so he ordered light snacks completely oblivious of someone who was watching them like a hawk.
Qie Ranzhe arrived ten minutes after Wen Qinxi with his entourage and witnessed the whole pulling up sweater incident with a clenched jaw. It took so much restraint to stop himself from walking over there, pick him up and take him home. He silently watched them without touching any of the drinks on the table.
“Dage, yo-you called me out to drink but wha-what are you doing?” asked an already tipsy Dai Yu who had jumped out of bed at the mention of the word party. She even dragged Shao Lan along.
Shao Lan put his arm around Dai Yu’s shoulders and whispered something into her ear. He was telling her she shouldn’t drink anymore but who would have thought she would directly place her leg over his thigh and beckoned him to take a shot for her.
“If you don’t want me to drink then, then you should drink for me,” she said with the tip of the shot glass by Shao Lan’s lip. The henpecked husband had no choice but to drink for her with his tender gaze sweeping over her face.
“Oh god,” said Machu covering the side of his face with his hand to block the scene of these two’s PDA. ” You just called me here to suffer, didn’t you?”
“Mn,” replied an absentminded Qie Ranzhe, “he’s drunk too much. How about you tell Wen Danzhe to take him home?”
Machu almost rolled his eyes as he took out his cellphone to text Wen Danzhe but the cellphone was obviously ignored because he couldn’t hear it.
Tiao Ru handed a pretzel stick coated with chocolate to Wen Qinxi but instead of taking it with his hands Wen Qinxi directly ate it.
The nerd was smiling at him unabashedly with his arms wrapped around Wen Danzhe. “Oh my gosh, don’t you have hands?” asked Wen Danzhe seeing what his brother did.
“They are busy, see,” replied Wen Qinxi with their faces plastered together, “keep them coming or I will tell mum you took me clubbing.” Thus the nerd had food placed in his mouth bossing around the three causing the tanker of vinegar to reach a critical level.
What really pushed Qie Ranzhe to the edge was when Wen Qinxi started dancing. Wen Danzhe had tried to dissuade him but all Wen Qinxi had to do to deal with him was tap the shoulder of a beautiful girl and his Wen Danzhe problem was solved.
His brother liked pretty girls which meant he temporarily let go of the leash he had around Wen Qinxi. With no one to stop him, Wen Qinxi climbed up the platform joining the dancing girls as his inner self that he restrained half the time came out. All those times of playing dance mania at the arcade seemed to have paid off.
Wen Qinxi started off clumsily but this nerd got the hang of it. He was truly having fun that is until a wet blanket was thrown at him. In his drunken stupor, he noticed Qie Ranzhe walked through the crowd and his eyes widened. “Oh shit,” he muttered getting off that platform to the ladies’ disappointment.
He hid in the dark corner waiting for Qie Ranzhe to show up. The CEO was distractedly looking for him that it took him by surprise when he was suddenly pulled into the dark corner and slammed on the wall. He was about to shake the person off when he saw Wen Qinxi’s flushed face smiling at him.
His hands slowly lowered with their gazes locked together. All the noise from the club disappeared into the background with the only sound coming from his heart pounding hard against his chest.
His ears were hot as his collar was suddenly clutched and his body pulled down before his lips were sealed by Wen Qinxi’s.
