Saving the overbearing CEO - Chapter 503
Five minutes later Wen Qinxi was already standing in Qie Ranzhe’s office breathing heavily as he had been running. How could he let mount Tai come to him? It can only attract trouble.
Qie Ranzhe’s eyes brightened when he saw him. He was almost drooling ogling the nerd he fell in love with. Wen Qinxi looked especially appetising in those glasses that he wanted to push him down on his desk and ravish him till he begged for mercy.
“Sit,” he said pointing at the couch on the other side of the office with his lips quirked up into a subtle smile. His heart was pounding hard against his chest as he took out a contract from the safe.
Wen Qinxi wasn’t fairing any better nervously rubbing his index finger with his thumb under his sleeve. He had done all sorts of things with this man but now that they were out of the game he couldn’t do anything he wanted. Qie Ranzhe was back to being the CEO of a big company and he an insignificant nerd who locked himself up in his bat cave for an entire day.
Qie Ranzhe ambled over and sat in the chair next to Wen Qinxi with their knees almost touching. “How was the hangover?” asked Qie Ranzhe placing the contract on the coffee table.
Wen Qinxi was confused by the question which was evident on his face. He couldn’t figure out how Qie Ranzhe knew he partied a little too much two days ago. “I…. ah…. how did you know?” he asked hesitantly while recalling the tattoo on his shoulder that suddenly felt painful.
Qie Ranzhe didn’t answer instead biting his lower lip with his gaze lingering on Wen Qinxi’s face. It turns out this little bunny forgot that provocative kiss in the dark corner.
“Huh? Okay…. let’s discuss it later. Take a look and sign it,” he said before standing up to get Wen Qinxi a cup of warm water. It was quite chilly today and he didn’t want his sweetheart to fall ill. Wen Qinxi received the cup of water not at all realising what was wrong with this situation. If anyone walked in and saw this they would question who exactly is the boss between them.
“Thanks,” he said but the moment he drank the first sip he spat it out after reading the contents of the contract. “Oh god….. I am so sorry,” he said about to grab a tissue to wipe the table but his hand was suddenly grasped stopping him.
“I will do it. Just keep reading,” said Qie Ranzhe as his gaze swept Wen Qinxi’s face.
Wen Qinxi hurriedly looked away with the tips of his ears turning red. He felt his heart beating fast hoping this man would never let go. Was he really asking for too much?
Qie Ranzhe eventually let go of his hand wiping away the water and Wen Qinxi’s eyes lowered reading the contract. The words were as clear as day. Qie Ranzhe was offering him half his shares in the company. That is to say, Wen Qinxi would own 25% of this estimated 200 billion RMB company. This was a little too much for this simple nerd.
“I…. this…..,” he stammered but Qie Ranzhe placed his index finger on his lip while tossing the paper towels in the bin.
“If it weren’t for you I would still be trapped in the game unless you are saying my life isn’t worth that much?…,” he said before sitting next to Wen Qinxi on the couch with barely any distance between them. He had put off asking Wen Qinxi to be his boyfriend for this very reason.
If they started dating Wen Qinxi might refuse the shares on the basis that they were in a relationship. Since their current relationship right now was employee and employer Wen Qinxi would have no reason to reject him.
“If it’s not enough then I can only give myself to you and make up for everything you did for me in that game,” he said with his phoenix eyes locked on Wen Qinxi. He leaned in closer and said, “If you don’t sign then how about you show me your tattoo.”
Wen Qinxi, “…..”
The nerd felt his heart sink at the pit of his stomach as he hurriedly picked up the pen on the coffee table and signed as fast as humanly possible not even bothering to review some of the terms written in there. Talk about making the same mistake twice. He should have learnt from past experience to read the entire contract first before signing.
As expected, Qie Ranzhe took the contract immediately and said, “I will personally make copies after getting it notarized.”
Wen Qinxi felt something was wrong but he had no time to scrutinize the situation because of Qie Ranzhe’s next words. “So where is it?” asked Qie Ranzhe with his heated gaze sweeping over Wen Qinxi’s entire body.
Being stared at like that Wen Qinxi couldn’t help but blush with his heart pounding against his chest. This exactly why he didn’t want to see Qie Ranzhe. He wouldn’t be able to resist the urge to jump him and vent out his repressed desires. ‘How hateful,’ he thought moving away a few inches.
“Don’t you think you should take responsibility?” said Qie Ranzhe ogling at the man he was enamoured with.
‘What responsibility? If anyone should be taking responsibility it should be this CEO, okay?’ thought Wen Qinxi with a befuddled expression.
Qie Ranzhe didn’t seem to mind touching his own lips with his finger. “For kissing me at the nightclub. I am not asking for you to let me kiss you in return….. I just want to see your tattoo. Are you refusing because it’s…..,” he said lowering his gaze to the man’s crotch.
Wen Qinxi’s brow furrowed as he uttered, “Hell no,” while covering his crotch area. He was beyond saving. Even when he was drunk he still managed to eat Qie Ranzhe’s tofu and the sad part was that he had no recollection of it.
“Then show me,” said Qie Ranzhe but the door was suddenly knocked saving this nerd. He was so desperate for freedom that he just stood up and ran letting the person in before saving himself.
Mama Qie almost got a heart attack with the sudden opening of the door. She watched the somewhat familiar figure flee the scene of the crime in astonishment. “I have seen that face before but…,” she said but paused when she met her son’s look of displeasure, “who offended you? You look exactly like when Dai Yu robbed you of your hot wheels in preschool…. hahaha good times.”
She sat on the couch while setting her handbag on the floor. “Who robbed you this time,’ she said with her attention drawn to the contract on the table. She could recognize what it was from a first glance as she herself had signed an almost similar contract when she got divorced.
“Are you planning on buying someone’s shares?” she said as her slender fingers reached for the document. But before she could touch the document it was suddenly taken away before he locked it into his safe.
“I can’t tell you yet,” he said with his stern expression relaxing a little deciding to go hunting for his prey later.
