Saving the overbearing CEO - Chapter 522
Wen Qinxi’s level of bitterness increased exponentially with the beastly roars of V12 engines at the start line. By the time the start flag was released Wen Qinxi already resembled a green-eyed monster with a clenched jaw.
He had no idea what these two were talking about but he kept glancing over in his peripheral view like a full-blown stalker. Dai Yu was yelling beside him with her entire body leaning against the barricade jeering her husband on but it was simply white noise to him.
His entire being was focused on the bitterness in his heart like he had eaten an unripe grapefruit. Maybe it was because some of his vinegar was spewing over or because Dai Yu was simply that good but she noticed his abnormality.
She followed his gaze and saw that dainty white lotus chatting up her cousin with a dash of frivolousness. The reason why she never shipped these two was firstly because Qie Ranzhe didn’t like him and two, she prefered her CPs would have muscular men, not one of them being confused for a girl. She wasn’t discriminating, it was just her preference.
So when she saw Wen Qinxi eating vinegar over that she decided to reassure him. Wen Qinxi really had nothing to worry about. “Saozi, you are overthinking it. You really have nothing to worry about. Look his mysophobia is even acting up so relax. Other than you he won’t touch anyone else,” said Dai Yu with a cheery smile.
Wen Qinxi knew she was right but he couldn’t help it. Kai Zi kept trying to touch Qie Ranzhe’s hand but the man himself would dodge like he would catch a serious illness if he didn’t.
“En,” he responded trying to stop himself from looking but at that moment in the car race, number 52 which was Shao Lan was being blocked by another car. No matter how hard he tried to shake off that car he couldn’t get rid of it. Shao Lan was obviously being targeted but it seemed he had a handle on things.
It was instead Dai Yu who lost it yelling at the man responsible. She was so riled up that she climbed over the barricade as soon as that car pulled over for a pit stop. “You are so fuckin dead,” she said almost climbing over as she tossed her signboard at the man’s car.
“And yet again number 52’s wife goes bonkers. Never disappoints….. She never disappoints,” said the commentator in a mocking tone.
Wen Qinxi was about to pull her back when Qie Ranzhe showed up out of nowhere right at the nick of time.
Dai Yu however wasn’t calm at all cussing that driver’s ancestors and future children with verve. She wasn’t being crazy over nothing. This driver was like an evil spirit shamelessly sticking to Shao Lan like it had been sent by someone.
That, someone, was chilling in a private viewing area swirling a glass of whiskey in between his fingers. Because Qie Ranzhe had to calm Dai Yu, Wen Qinxi was suddenly left defenceless.
He didn’t want to interrupt them since it was a personal matter so he sat down waiting for them to come back. He began to seriously watch the race.
Shao Lan really had a hand on things dealing with that asshole of a driver with ease. He had even begun taunting the man for his own amusement. This made Wen Qinxi smile with a throaty chuckle.
Unbeknownst to him someone had sat near him and had been watching him this entire time. He only realised it when he heard a familiar voice saying, “What a gorgeous smile.”
The smile on Wen Qinxi’s face stiffened as turned his head only to find Kai Zheng ogling at him like he was a piece of juicy steak. ‘Fuck no,’ thought Wen Qinxi now seriously believing that Qie Ranzhe had a gift to foresee the future. Who would have known that some of the events in Flagship would be true? For example Kai Zi’s interest in Qie Ranzhe and this guy’s interest in him.
He felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave immediately. “Hie, I am Kai Zheng,” he said stretching out his hand but Wen Qinxi didn’t reciprocate mostly because he didn’t like the way Kai Zheng was looking at him.
Kai Zheng didn’t seem angry at all drawing back his hand with a radiant smile. “I am sorry…. it’s just that I saw you with Ran-ge earlier. You must be his lead programmer, right? For Flagship? I heard great things about it….. you are amazing,” said Kai Zheng trying to marinate the chicken before roasting.
But this chicken wasn’t having any of that. “There is no need for that… it wasn’t my effort alone. Excuse me….. I have to go,” said Wen Qinxi but before he even stood up his hand was suddenly grasped by someone.
He subconsciously wanted to pull his hand away but when he turned and saw Qie Ranzhe standing there a radiant smile crept up his face like he had seen his saviour.
“Let’s go,” said Qie Ranzhe treating Kai Zheng like air. Kai Zheng looked down at their clasped hands and suddenly received enlightenment just like his brother. This relationship wasn’t as simple as it appeared.
Wen Qinxi’s smile drooped a little when he realised Qie Ranzhe’s mood wasn’t right. Thinking dealing with Dai Yu had probably made him upset, Wen Qinxi silently followed only to be pressed against a wall as soon as they stepped out.
Caught off guard Wen Qinxi asked, “What are you mmmm,” but he didn’t get to finish his question when he was suddenly kissed fiercely with Qie Ranzhe’s leg spreading his thighs apart.
He didn’t care they were in public neither did he care someone will see. All he knew was that he was upset and wanted to mark his territory and give himself a sense of ease. He sucked on Wen Qinxi’s lips with both his hands trapping his lover in the middle.
His moist tongue licked Wen Qinxi’s lips igniting a fiery passion that came with doing something sinful in public. Wen Qinxi’s bashfulness was thrown out of the window as he parted his lips letting this man invade him in total surrender. Qie Ranzhe couldn’t handle this stimulation groaning as he pressed against Wen Qinxi’s body.
A gush of raging hormones coursed through Wen Qinxi’s veins fueling a fiery passion below his belt. He wanted nothing more than to give himself to this man wholly. The two engaged in such reckless behaviour till they were both panting heavily from the kiss.
Qie Ranzhe gently rubbed Wen Qinxi’s slightly swollen lips as he said, “Baby, I am upset. I am really upset.”
