Saving the overbearing CEO - Chapter 530
Wen Qinxi felt like someone somewhere was intentionally screwing with him because the moment he solved one problem another one arose. He had managed to talk things out with his mother who was very accepting of him which was really great.
The thing was before he could heave a sigh of relief something unexpected happened. Earlier on, the two of them left his mother’s apartment and passed by Wen Qinxi’s place before heading for work which they were a little late for.
After a productive and non-eventful workday, Wen Qinxi decided to buy groceries on his way home. Because Qie Ranzhe had an urgent meeting concerning the trial, Wen Qinxi left earlier to buy ingredients for dinner and buy something a little special for their first time.
He knew it would be painful from what he read online but….. he was thirsty to the extreme. He could have held off longer but under Qie Ranzhe’s constant provocation he couldn’t bear it. For instance, right after the bathroom incident in the morning when they got to his place, Qie Ranzhe deliberately stripped naked right in front of him and shamelessly invited him to take a shower together.
Faced with that muscular toned body with long legs and his instrument standing at half-mast while pointing at him, Wen Qinxi couldn’t deny it any longer. His thirst outweighed his fear of pain. He wanted it so bad that he decided to make necessary preparations and conquer his man.
But just as he left the mall heading for Qie Ranzhe’s car where the driver was waiting for him, he was suddenly ambushed. Someone pulled him by the collar and pushed him against the wall without warning.
This was the first time outside Flagship that he faced any sort of threat which undoubtedly scared him. This was the reason why Qie Ranzhe insisted he brought along a bodyguard which he had stubbornly refused settling on a driver instead.
It was because of his blatant refusal that he was being attacked for reasons unknown. A hard punch landed on his face making him grimace in pain but before he could even make sense of what was happening, he was suddenly kneed in the abdomen which was unexpected.
He fell to the ground with an excruciating ache spreading from where he was hit. Wen Qinxi was in turmoil as he lay on the filthy floor of the underground parking. His mind was spinning as he struggled to figure out who he had offended. Based on past experience he could only think of one person he met who could have issues with him and that was Kai Zi.
The assailant crouched before him and painfully pinched both his cheeks forcing him to look up. His blurred vision regained clarity as he focused his gaze towards the direction he was being forced to face.
His ears were ringing from the punch earlier but he could clearly hear the distinct sound of footsteps echoing in the parking lot. A man that closely resembled Qie Ranzhe appeared before him.
At first, he thought it was him but on closer examination this man was of a shorter build and apart from the eyes they were two completely different people. His heart jolted in fright when he realised who it was.
Qie Anzhie kicked the bags scattered on the ground with malicious laughter escaping his throat. From that laughter alone one could tell how proud he was in this moment.
“So this is what my brother is into…. hahaha… interesting. I really don’t see it. Surely he had better options than you,” he said with his gaze attracted to the brown paper bag that had spilt over some of its contents exposing delicate things that people would normally shy away from.
Wen Qinxi was too angry to feel ashamed. He wanted to curse this person but found he couldn’t because his face was being pinched tightly. He was forced to watch Wen Qinxi grab the bottle of lubricant from the brown paper bag. Luckily Qie Anzhie didn’t look deeper into that bag otherwise he would have seen even more horrifying things.
He opened the top and sniffed it with a contemptuous look on his face. “Hahaha….. You actually sold your ass to him? How much did it cost…. how much are you worth? I will pay double the amount if you work for me,” he said before crouching down before him, “all you have to do is tell all of my half brother’s secrets.” With that said, his finger reached over to stroke Wen Qinxi’s face but he was avoided. Wen Qinxi used his entire strength to pull away from the man’s hold avoiding Qie Anzhie’s filthy hands.
“Fuck off,” were the words he spoke making Qie Anzhie’s expression darken in an instant.
Out of anger he stood up and unscrewed the cap of the bottle of lubricant and poured all of its contents on Wen Qinxi’s body. Wen Qinxi closed his eyes as the lovely fragrance of watermelon assaulted his nose. What was a scent associated with beautiful memories had been tainted by this childish man with no moral compass?
Qie Anzhie tossed the bottle to the side in disgust and said, “Beat him up for me till he changes his mind…. call me with the result.”
“Sir, what if he refuses?” asked the henchman seeking permission to kill.
“Then get rid of him. He will be of no use to me anyway,” replied Qie Anzhie before walking away. As soon as he left the henchman grinned maliciously as he shoved Wen Qinxi to the ground.
He towered over him like a lion standing over its prey. “Let’s see how long you will last,” he said reaching over to drag him to his van nearby but before he could even touch the hem of his jacket, someone tackled him from behind.
His body hit the ground with a loud thud but before he could react there was a flash from the barrel of a gun. Wen Qinxi wanted to look in that direction but Qie Ranzhe’s driver stopped him from looking. “Sir, are you okay?….. We have to get you to safety,” he said blocking Wen Qinxi’s view of whatever was happening over there.
Wen Qinxi just shook his head but his mind was in a state of chaos. The driver led him out of the undercover parking lot and drove straight to Qie Ranzhe’s apartment. The black SUV drove in at remarkable speed. It would be a miracle if they didn’t get a speeding ticket.
As soon as he reached Qie Ranzhe’s apartment, he barely had time to admire the sophisticated interior design as he was still shaken. He hadn’t been in that place for more than five minutes when Machu walked in with a grim face.
Wen Qinxi vaguely heard Machu cursing Qie Anzhie a thousand times over as he examined him. He was like a mindless zombie doing as told with no resistance at all. He had experienced this kind of situation in Flagship but it was a whole different tier when he experienced it in the real world. He didn’t dare think of the assailant, whether he was dead or alive. He just wanted one person but that person wasn’t around.
