Saving the overbearing CEO - Chapter 532
Having drawn out his gun, things escalated from zero to a hundred in a split second. He wasn’t an unreasonable person but they just had to stir up shit for no apparent reason. They ruined his mother but he knew one can’t force love so he accepted things as they were and helped his mother recover.
They took his inheritance after his grandfather’s death but he didn’t do anything. Yes, he knew about it but he had a very good reason not to fight back. It was because he wasn’t willing to work like a donkey and keep this vile family’s pockets fat and full. He wasn’t stupid. He would rather watch them destroy themselves than work for them.
And now their brat had taken it upon himself to screw with someone very important to him so how could he let them go unscathed? This would teach this little asshole to stay as far away as possible from his business.
Qie Ranzhe grinned like an evil fiend watching as he scanned the lounge full of people. His aunt Qie Guaiwu and her husband were there. There was also his half-sister sitting at the far end of the room watching the show with great interest. His uncles of distant relation were also there with their families but they weren’t the highlight of this show.
Mr Zhao, his wife and Zhao Huangzhi were also there staring at him with an assortment of reactions which was pretty amusing. There was only one meaning to this gathering that he wasn’t invited to. He was their main subject of discussion. How interesting.
Qie Ranzhe let out a throaty chuckle with his dark sinister eyes resembling those of a psychopath on the prowl. He tapped the trigger with his finger and said, “Sorry, I didn’t know that you all had gathered here to talk about me. Now that we are all here you can carry on. I am listening.”
Mr Qie was more than embarrassed by his son’s brazen behaviour. He was angry but he had to simmer his rage down because he still needed Qie Ranzhe’s help otherwise their business will sink at an incredibly fast rate.
“Ahem… how about you put that dangerous thing away and we discuss this like normal adults. Look Xiao An is in a bad condition. How about you let him see a doctor. No matter what he did you are still brothers, aren’t you?….. You don’t want him to die do you?” said Mr Qie seeming like a very caring father but Qie Ranzhe wasn’t stupid.
Qie Ranzhe smirked while rubbing his thumb with his index finger to soothe the beast within that was ready to burst out. Lord knows how much self-restraint he was exercising right now.
“No need, he most definitely won’t die easily. Stay in a hospital for a very long time, yes but death, no. I am more interested in what you were discussing in my absence…. Ah….. let me guess. You want me to come back to the family business and solve the shit you started, isn’t it? And to boost your share market price you want me to marry her and slap a band-aid to the sinking ship, is that it?….. Well, let me save you some time and tell it like it is. It’s not going to happen.”
“You lost this war a long time ago when you brought this bitch home who even named her son almost the exact name as mine. Just because you can make a copy…. it doesn’t mean they are as good as the original,”
Madam Qie version 2.0 seemed to have her sour spot poked at by this annoying brat that she almost lunged at him in anger. It was Qie Guaiwu who held her back so she could only point at him with her long acrylic nails expressing her outrage.
“Who do you think you are calling a bitch? You ungrateful bastard. How dare you?” she yelled struggling to free herself from her sister in law.
Qie Ranzhe found her angry appearance amusing so he poked at her again with no reservations. “Isn’t it An-er over here the bastard because I was born legitimate but him on the other hand….. well,” he said deliberately starting something.
“You!…,” she said at a loss on what to say so she could only turn to her husband for support, “Why don’t you do something? He is disrespecting me right in front of you. Do something!”
Mr Qie sent a vicious glare her way telling her to shut up but of course, she wouldn’t back down easily. She was about to yell once more when Qie Guaiwu interjected. “How can you be this disrespectful to your elders? As expected of Dai Lee’s son….,” she said succeeding in angering Qie Ranzhe.
“Oh wow aunt, you are the one to talk. You knew about this affair for years and didn’t say anything. I am guessing you condoned it and helped your brother conceal the fact that he was a man whore for years all for the benefits my mother’s family brought. Do you think I am fucking blind… you shut the fuck up,” with the last sentence referring to Qie Anzhie whose groans had amplified like he was about to give birth or something.
Qie Anzhie was so terrified that he whimpered under his breath as he lay on the cold floor.
“You think I don’t know what you and that lawyer Miyu Ren did when grandfather died? I have known all your dirty little secrets for a long time. I didn’t fight because I was weak or afraid of taking you on. The reason why I didn’t put up a fight was because I wasn’t about to lose my youth working like an ass so that all of you can live cushy comfortable lives at my expense.”
“So your children can sip pina coladas in Venice while I can’t catch a break working myself to death? Haha….. I am not naive and gullible enough to fall for your nonsense. Not only that but you would also dictate who I can marry and spend the rest of my life with. Not a fucking fat chance.”
“Good thing your ego got the best of you and you robbed me blind. I have to be grateful to you for that. That’s the only commendable thing you have done for me as a father,” he said offloading all the grievances he held back for years and never disclosed.
The entire lounge fell into deafening silence hearing this. Some were surprised by this startling revelation but the four orchestrators of this plan were sickly pale staring at Qie Ranzhe with a look of astonishment.
All these years they thought they had outsmarted him successfully acquiring what belonged to him but that wasn’t necessarily true.
