Saving the overbearing CEO - Chapter 545
With one mother taken care of the three left the apartment building heading for Dai Lee’s house. With the two of them in the front and Dai lee at the back snoozing away, the car drove through the busy streets.
Wen Qinxi was looking outside the window seeming somewhat lost in thought. When the car stopped in front of a red traffic light, Qie Ranzhe placed his warm hand over Wen Qinxi’s thigh drawing his attention.
“I am sorry about her. She’s not usually this overbearing,” said Qie Ranzhe apologizing on behalf of his mother.
Wen Qinxi shook his head and said, “No need to apologize. The two are quite similar so it’s a good thing they met. They wouldn’t drink together if they didn’t like each other.” A slight smile quirked up at the corner of his lips as he placed his hand on top of Qie Ranzhe’s.
Qie Ranzhe subconsciously licked his bottom lip as he leaned forward to kiss the corner of Wen Qinxi’s lips but his actions were suddenly interrupted. Dai Lee placed her elbow on the driver’s seat and started wagging her finger like an old auntie.
“Yo-you two, stop it. I am, I am still in this car and I….. I, I am your mother. Don’t smooch this cute face in front of me,” she said squeezing both sides of Wen Qinxi’s cheeks.
Qie Ranzhe tried to peel her off his boyfriend but the traffic light turned green leaving him with no choice but to drive. “Mum put on your seat belt. Why did you even unbuckle it?” asked Qie Ranzhe searching for a secure place to park the vehicle and help his mother.
Dai Lee didn’t register any of his words talking to her in-law. “If you marry him I will give you a house and a car as dowry… if you stay with him for five years, I will buy you a yacht….. ten years and I will buy you an island. How about that? Is your mummy in law rich or what?” she made promises that should never be taken seriously, “Look how stoic his face is…. anything short of arranged marriage I thought, thought he would be single for life…”
“Okay, that’s enough from you,” said Qie Ranzhe as he parked the car on the side of the road. He got out soon after and buckled her seat belt in place. They soon drove off as a sweet atmosphere brewed between the two love birds. Wen Qinxi was looking outside the window with a small smile on his face. He wanted to laugh at Dai Lee’s words but suppressed the urge.
Qie Ranzhe was also smiling foolishly glancing over to Wen Qinxi time and time again. He couldn’t hold back any longer so he asked, “What did you say to my brother in law that made him come back that fast?”
Wen Qinxi snickered and said, “I told him that I will buy him a BMW if he comes back.”
Qie Ranzhe couldn’t understand why he was snickering so he asked, “Then why are you looking like the Grinch right now?”
“Haha, because I can’t wait to see his face when I hand him a model car. Pfft…hahaha….. do you, do you think he will like it,” said Wen Qinxi imagining the look on his brother’s face. Talk about the prank of the century.
With a throaty chuckle, Qie Ranzhe smiled as he said, “I am marrying a vile ghoul. How could you do that to him. I wi-,” he said as the car approached the gate of the property but he stopped speaking when he saw the person standing at his mother’s gate.
His expression darkened like the dark side of the moon with the harmonious atmosphere abruptly changing to something out of a horror movie. Qie Ranzhe parked the car and got out slamming the door with a loud bang.
Wen Qinxi wanted to come out and stop him because he looked like he was about to kill someone. This dark sinister aura was one he only saw in Flagship but it was now manifesting itself in the real world.
Like he had a sixth sense, Qie Ranzhe turned around and said, “You stay,” before walking forward.
His stepmother was standing by his mother’s gate supposedly looking for Dai Lee. From the tremble in her legs, she seemed to have been standing there for a long time. Wen Qinxi couldn’t hear anything but he could clearly tell the situation was tense.
While contemplating whether to disobey Qie Ranzhe or not, Dai Lee suddenly rose from her slumber and mumbled, “Are we there yet?” rubbing her eye. She looked like an adorable sheep with zero of that intimidating nature of hers.
Wen Qinxi was about to respond when Dai Lee in her haze saw the slut who caused her plenty of grievances in the past. “The nerve of this bitch,” she said taking off her heel before hurriedly opening the car door.
“Oh shit,’ mumbled Wen Qinxi as he opened his door to stop Dai Lee. The two people looked in their direction and the smell of gunpowder immediately became intense.
Dai Lee looked like a psychopathic killer who had the harness on her neck taken off. She was ready to bite this woman to death. Pointing her red stiletto at Madam Qie version 2.0 she said, “You better run back to your husband’s home before I fuck you up. Are you fuckin lost cause this isn’t the Qie Mansion so get the fuck off my property?”
Those words had Madam Qie 2.0 angered. She completely forgot she was here to beg Dai Lee to convince her unruly child to back off. “You are just jealous. I know you still have a thing for him that’s why you are being this hostile. You can’t have him so get it straight into your head because bitch, he chose me….. Ah!” she screamed when the stiletto was thrown past her.
Madam Qie 2.0 curled up screaming pretending as though she had been hit and started wailing.
“Who gives a fuck about that man whore. I just want you off my property,” said Dai Lee snorting coldly at her act that she was ever familiar with. “Call the police,” she said to Wen Qinxi while taking out a pair of fluffy slippers from under the seat.
“She hit me….. she’s hitting people. She wants to kill me. Your mother wants to kill me. I am going to sue her and the world will see her getting dragged to jail!” she yelled with Qie Ranzhe’s face turning even darker. This vile woman was truly testing his patients.
Unfortunately for her, her plan was seen through by Wen Qinxi who dragged his boyfriend away as he conversed with the police. She was trying to incite Qie Ranzhe to hit her so she could blackmail them but nothing was bound to go her way this time.
