Saving the overbearing CEO - Chapter 546
Madam Qie 2.0 was a certified professional scammer who earned a living from it. She scammed her way into another woman’s family by making herself into a fragile victim. One would ask what kind of idiot will fall for her tricks? The secret was in her fragile-looking porcelain face.
Whether her face was natural or plastic it didn’t matter because the effect was the same regardless. All she had to do was act coquettish, put on an aggrieved look or pout her lips with reddened eyes and the doors will open for her.
Her face though wasn’t her ultimate weapon. It was what was between her legs that sealed the deal with Master Qie. She didn’t have feelings for him or anything like that.
He was just a means to an end for her and when he failed to save her son she decided to take matters into her own hands. This is why she made a pathetic attempt to get the woman she kicked off this seat to help her.
But instead of asking for help, she turned to what she knows best and that’s behaving like a green tea bitch of the highest order. She loved her face as it was her golden ticket but she wouldn’t mind a bruise here or a laceration there so she could blackmail this pair of mother and son.
Her plan would have gone well if it weren’t because of Dai Lee’s shitty stiletto throwing skills. She failed to hit her with the stiletto flying over the gate.
What she didn’t know was that there was nothing wrong with Dai Lee’s stiletto throwing skills. She had thrown her shoes at multiple victims in her childhood that she became an expert at it. This time she didn’t intend to hurt her so she threw it over her gate on purpose. Dai Lee just wanted to scare her.
That man almost brought her to death’s door so why would she give a damn about him. Her heart had already frozen over a long time ago and felt nothing for him. All she cared about was her son and of course, her new in-law which is why she didn’t hesitate to call the police so they can drag this crazy person away.
What worried her the most was her son losing his temper but when she saw him obediently allowing Wen Qinxi to drag him away she was at ease. Despite this shameless woman turning her insults towards her son possibly trying to anger him so he could retaliate and throw the first punch, Qie Ranzhe remained indifferent treating her like air. His gaze was on Wen Qinxi’s back with his ears almost deaf to her insults.
It was at this moment Dai Lee realised something. As long as Wen Qinxi was by her son’s side his temper remained cool. This was like a homeostatic system with Wen Qinxi acting as the regulator preventing her son from going berserk. Unlike Zhao Huangzhi who when insulted would urge her son to defend her honour. It was bitches like her who would land her son in trouble nonstop.
Madam Qie 2.0 saw that insulting Dai Lee and threatening to sue wasn’t working so she started on Wen Qinxi when she saw him holding Qie Ranzhe’s arm and Qie Ranzhe smittenly staring at the man like he was head over heels. Qie Anzhie had told her about how he had provoked Qie Ranzhe by attacking his boy toy and judging from the current situation the boy toy must be this man.
Seeing an opportunity she took out her hateful skill card and began to insult the pair using the most derogatory words which aren’t worth mentioning. She exhausted her vocabulary trying to incite Qie Ranzhe but it was as though her words didn’t even reach his ears. It seemed there was some type of invisible barrier shielding them from her nonsense.
Qie Ranzhe was looking at Wen Qinxi with a dreamy expression like there was only this man in the entire world. Wen Qinxi’s ears turned red as he pressed his lips into a straight line trying to suppress a smile that was creeping up the corner of his mouth. He was seriously trying to listen to the policeman on the phone but Qie Ranzhe’s stare almost made him lose his composure.
He let go of Qie Ranzhe’s arm and used his hand to turn the man’s face away before taking a few steps forward. The only problem was that Qie Ranzhe wasn’t complaisant. He took Wen Qinxi’s free hand into his and hugged him from behind with his chin resting on Wen Qinxi’s shoulder.
Dai Lee, “…”
Madam Qie version 2.0, “…..”
Were kids these days so unbridled? How about saving a little face for these poor old ladies.
Qie Ranzhe was in the middle of sniffing his lover’s neck when his back was suddenly slapped by something very familiar. It seemed Dai Lee’s shoe-throwing fit wasn’t only limited to strangers but her son also had the honour to experience it a couple of times. The slipper accurately hit his back before the scolding commenced.
“We are in public….. restrain yourself a little,” she spoke through gritted teeth but her reprimand fell on deaf ears.
The vulture over there even stopped wailing for a second as she took out her cell phone to record the lovey-dovey scene. Either two things would come out of this situation. One, Qie Ranzhe or Dai Lee would try and snatch the cell phone from her which would ultimately lead to a fight so she can blackmail them with or two, she sells this piece of news to the media.
If her family was going down then she would drag them to hell with her. A malicious smile flashed on her face before her expression abruptly changed back to the look of a victim. She could hear the sounds of sirens approaching so she began to shout.
“I am recording it… soon the entire world will know how filthy and disgusting you are,” she said with a tremor in her voice trying to seem as distraught as possible.
“Baby, do you mind if they know?” he asked Wen Qinxi struggling to restrain himself in front of his mother which was the hardest thing for him to do. Blame him for having a cute boyfriend.
Wen Qinxi shook his head. He didn’t really care if the whole world knew. Maybe it was because their circumstances put them in such a position that no one could bully them or ruin their lives that he didn’t care.
If they had regular jobs and lived in a backward society then he might stay in the closet till their situation was better. If they were in that type of situation he wouldn’t mind playing the ‘we are roommates’ card FYI ‘roommates who kiss and bed each other each night’ *wink.
