Such an unexpected encounter took Wen Qinxi by surprise that the smile from earlier froze making him look like the joker after batman refused to acknowledge him. It was like a stiff face minus the makeup making Nu Shen grin with satisfaction.

Nu Shen opened her clutch purse and took out some tissue while saying, “How old are you that you have to be this careless… Are you okay?” As she spoke these words, her hands weren’t honest. She reached out to wipe Wen Qinxi’s face. Coincidentally this little action caught Qie Ranzhe’s attention and sure enough, this vinegar jar almost exploded.

The air suddenly became stifling with the intense smell of gunpowder filling the room. Uncle Dai felt a chill that ran through his bones as the expression on his nephew’s face darkened. When he turned to see where his nephew was going he saw his new in-law being taken advantage of by a girl in a red dress. “Well, the king of petty land won’t let that go,” he mumbled while wiping off the cold sweat on his forehead.

The meaning seemed clear enough but to Wen Qinxi it played like a fight between a couple in a dog blood drama. Nu Shen pulled back her hair once more and continued, “I hope his words were as sweet as the ones in the confession letter he wrote for me in high school…. and yes I read it before you confiscated it from my desk.”
