Searching For You - 37 Another Attack
Out in the hospital hallway, she found a quiet aisle alleyway that led to the emergency stairs and made her call.
On the other line of the phone, a man picked up cheerfully. “Oh Su Na! How’s your trip?”
Su Na didn’t know how to break the news to him. She gathered courage and spoke, “Hmm… good… uncle.”
It took a few seconds for him to know something was off from her tone. “What’s wrong?” He was quick enough to ask.
“I’m at the hospital.”
“Why? Are you okay?”
Su Na took a deep breath and continued, “Yu Sha had another attack.”
The man on the other line asked with a slightly serious tone, “How is she?”
“I haven’t seen any of her episodes being this serious before. She’s never passed out, but no worries, she’s in the hospital and is getting treated.”
“How did it happen?”
“We were in the theater, watching a play and suddenly she fell onto the ground. By then, she was already fading out. She didn’t have her inhaler with her.”
“Was she acting strangely prior to that?”
Su Na was baffled. She thought Yu Sha was always weird and strange. How was she supposed to answer that question? A few things flashed through her mind until that night when she saw Yu Sha on the balcony. She hesitated but decided to tell the truth and replied, “Uncle, I don’t know. I might have been crazy and was just seeing things, but the other night, I saw…” Su Na took another deep breath and prepared her heart, “I saw Yu Sha glowing and floating on the top of the balcony.” She cringed and continued, “I know, I know. I must be crazy. Forget it…”
The uncle chuckled on the other line. “I’ll fly over this afternoon in a couple of hours.”
“No no… You don’t need to. Keo and Leo are here and we will make sure she comes home safe. I just wanted to let you know.”
“Oh… Keo and Leo are there? Then I’m sorry, I will leave her in your care.”
Around the corner, Keo was eavesdropping and heard the entire conversation. Though his aura remained unchanged, his eyes and face showed a complex look. What and who was the girl he had secretly been admiring?
“Thanks, Su Na. Sorry for the trouble she has caused you.”
“No, no problem at all. I just hope she gets well soon.”
“Mm. Thank you. She will. You can take my word for it.”
As soon as they hung up, a distressed look shown through Yu Sha’s father’s face. He pressed a number on his phone and waited for the line to go through.
“Something’s up?” a coarse old voice answered on the other line.
“Mother, I think the seal is weakened? She’s starting to show signs.”
Yu Sha’s father sighed helplessly, he continued, “There is still a year, and a half left before the ten-year mark since we sealed her the second time.”
“Discuss with Cao Huo and let me know what you two planned. There are a few things I need to take care of,
and I will drop by for a visit.”
“Mm… It won’t be until another two more months before Cao Huo can be in contact with me, but I’ll let you know then.” Yu Sha’s father replied.
About two hours later, Yu Sha came around. She woke up hooked to I.V pole and heart monitor. The doctor came in with the test results. Her test results were normal and she could be discharged as soon as she feels better. The doctor left the group in the room after bringing them the good news.
Su Na and the twins felt relief after the doctor told them the results.
Leo stood up, walked next to Yu Sha, and asked annoyingly, “What is wrong with you? I thought even the devil couldn’t touch a single strand of your hair?”
Irritated at Leo’s comment, Yu Sha flew out of the bed with a flying kick directed at Leo. All the cords connected to her were plucked right off her as she lunged forward towards Leo. He blocked the kick with his arm and whimpered, “Why do you always come at me with intent to kill?”
“Because everything you blabbered out irritates me.” Yu Sha shouted in disdain.
“You two, stop!” Su Na came in between them and smacked both of them, “Yu Sha, can’t you stay still without acting out at least for the time being!” Su Na huffed as she glared at the two kids in front of her.
Standing at the door was Lue Han and Prince Hue Chi both shocked and stupefied at what they witnessed. What is she? How could she be so bloodthirsty on her sick bed?
Lue Han gulped down his own saliva and cleared his throat. “Ahem… Yu Sha are you okay now?” The group turned around to look at the door. Yu Sha quickly sat down on the bed like an obedient dog waiting for treats and nodded her head in an embarrassed expression to answer that she is ok.
Leo, feeling disturbed at Yu Sha’s sudden change of behavior, shook his head in disbelief at the bipolar girl in front of him, “Have you ever thought of seeking psychiatric help for your condition?”
How dare you? Yu Sha glared at Leo. Why this guy always nitpicks on her all the time and the things he said just want her to send him out flying through the window?
Leo felt a cold chill rushed deep through to his bone. He quickly backed away and ran next to Keo for cover, “Brother, I can feel someone is after my life.”
