Second Chance At The Apocalypse - Chapter 2 Fck
Assessing the situation and coming to a conclusion, Zhao Cai’s eyes turned towards Cheng Min.
Even before the apocalypse, Cheng Min was a loyal and trustworthy brother, always siding with him no matter the circumstance and supporting him from the back.
Different from himself who morphed into a completely different person, Cheng Min’s traits only enhanced once the apocalypse begun, unfortunately he was born with no mental resistance and with the dead of his loved ones his soul broke down.
Alive but dead inside, that was the Cheng Min of the future.
It’s a pity that he already decided Cheng Min will not tag along with him, he was safer alone after all.
Perhaps if they meet later on…
Noticing Zhao Cai’s penetrating gaze, Cheng Min reflexively touched his face.
“Do I have something?”
“Mn? No, you don’t. By the way Cheng Min, what’s today’s date?”
“Uh… Tuesday, why?”
Zhao Cai’s smile twitched.
“…I meant in numbers.”
“Oh, you meant like that? Sorry, I think it’s February 26.”
Zhao Cai’s heart turned cold.
“Of 2019?”
“No, of 2137. Of course of 2019!” Cheng Min rolled his eyes.
Ignoring his sarcastic remarks, Zhao Cai’s eyes trembled.
‘Damn. It’s today!’
There was no way, he or any other survivor would forget the day humanity plummeted.
2/26/2019.
Today was judgement day.
He had came to the past on the exact same day ‘the end’ begun..
He silently sighed and then proceeded to searched his entire body before finally locating a smartphone on his jean pocket. Fortunately, before the apocalypse Zhao Cai was just another simple guy who didn’t require a password, so he was able to unlock the cellphone easily.
Next, he searched for his family members through his contacts before placing the phone beside his ear.
This action shocked their classmates to the core.
After all, although it was university and regulations weren’t as strict as in high school they still had to abide by the unspoken rules!
He was just too disrespectful!
Zhao Cai didn’t care though, why would he mind what a bunch of meat who was just waiting to be sliced say?
As he was concentrating on the cellphone he realized there was no signal.
Zhao Cai almost cursed.
From his understanding, this was the first phase of the apocalypse.
Even after experiencing hundreds of trials, he could not help but feel nervous.
However he shouldn’t be blamed for his anxiousness, after all, the distance between his parents was just too far away. Living in a county in the north, which was approximately 15 hours by car from here.
More over, his sister who was studying in a well-known university was 8 hours away at the south, the completely opposite direction from his parents.
What should he do?
Who had more possibilities to live?
Who could survive longer without him?
Should he look for his sister first and then his parents?
It was a tough decision to make, after all the life of the other could be in danger if he choose the wrong order.
“F*ck!”
Zhao Cai took a deep breath calming himself down and moved out of the classroom with the astonished eyes of his classmates following him.
