Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 14
A sharp pain that permeated through her chest woke Odette up.
The seven year old girl abruptly sat up on her bed, and she was barely able to distinguish her features in the dimly lit room.
Odette gripped tightly on to the blanket as the pain within her intensified, and a throb went through her neck.
As a ticklish sensation spread inside her neck, irritation emerged within Odette, and she was in the desperate need to get rid of it. Raising her hand, she scratched her neck violently in anguish.
Creases formed between both of her eyebrows while a pained expression sat upon her face— reflecting what she had felt at that moment.
By each passing second, it was getting tougher for Odette to breathe, and soon enough, she found herself gasping for the air. Her fingernails were covered in blood due to how roughly she attacked her neck.
However, the itchy sensation within her neck grew further, and regardless of how hard she tried, she was unable to get rid of it.
Another jolt of pain went through her chest, and Odette felt as if her chest was being attacked by thousand arrows at a time. Her breathing was starting to get rougher.
She began to cough violently at that moment, and her light pink blanket got stained red due to the blood. As the coughing stopped, her lips appeared crimson for the blood.
Her features were starting to get paler, and sweat formed on her forehead. Sudden heat took all over her body, and tears burned at the corner of her eyes.
The overwhelming pain she felt at that instant caused her to reach her hand under the pillow while her other hand continued to scratch her neck.
Skin have been considerably scraped off her neck, and it was a disturbing sight at that moment. Despite that, it was the itch was worse than the pain when it came to her neck.
Pulling out the silver dagger from underneath her pillow, Odette placed it dangerously close to her neck, and the desire to pierce her neck with this came over her.
At that moment, Odette’s consciousness was fading away, and her mind was completely blank. She was not at that state to think with the proper mind.
The ache within her body started to intensify as time passed by, and more coughs tinted with blood escaped from her mouth— each one bringing more trouble to her.
She was desperate to get rid of this pain, and finding it difficult to think rationally in that moment, the only way to do that seemed by stabbing the blade through her neck.
Maybe that would be able take away the pain.
She began to sweat profusely as cries and moans of pain left her mouth. People outside of her room heard, but no one entered into the room; no one cared enough to enter the room and comfort the girl in the time of her pain.
Since the irritation in her throat showed no signs of disappearing, she pierced her neck through the knife in her hand. The knife made a small cut in her neck, and the tip of the knife was covered in the blood.
However, her last thread of rationality acted up when she was about to drive the entire knife through her neck. Strangely enough, the image of Adrian flashed through her mind, and that was enough to stop her from killing herself.
A loud scream escaped from her mouth as a stabbing ache went through her chest, and Odette felt as if her chest was being ripped open by someone painfully.
Bringing her knife over from her neck, she held it close to her wrist and made a sharp cut on it. She had removed both of her hands from the neck due to her last desire to live.
Pain permeated through her wrist due to cut. However, it was not enough to overwhelm the itching feeling.
As a trail of tear left her eyes, she made several more cuts in her hand in order to drown the irritation within her neck, and her face showed her desperation. However, that was not enough.
Her chest felt as if it was being trampled on by someone when another sets of cough escaped from her mouth, falling on top of her bloody wrist.
Sitting on top of her grand bed, Odette was a mess.
