The senior maid’s eyes widened before her body collapsed and fell against the ground. A loud resonated through the room at that.

“Oh my! It seems that the punishment was too much for her,” Odette vocalised, “Get someone to drag her body out of here to the prison.”

One of the maids standing before the door nodded, and extending her hand towards the knob, the maid was about to open the door when Odette’s words caused her to halt in her actions.

“Hold on!” Odette ordered, “All of you should get punished as well for not answering my question.”

Odette’s lips curved to form a flawless yet bone-chilling smile. Although innocence radiated off of her, everyone could easily see how that was merely a facade, judging by her previous words.

All the maids fell on their knees upon hearing those words, and seeing the punishment that the senior maid had gotten, all of them were now frightened of Odette. Trying to judge by her age would definitely be a mistake.

“Lady Odette, what’s the matter? I don’t believe that I have done anything wrong,” one of the maids vocalised.

Hearing that maids words, all the other kneeling maids’ eyes widened, and they instantly looked at the ground.

After observing what had happened with the senior maid, the rest were smart enough to understand that the punishment would only be getting worse for them if they tried to speak up against it.

Odette chuckled and spoke out, “You are a brave little maid, but you’re foolish.”

The maid noticed the sinister grin upon Odette’s face, and that was when she realized how big of a mistake she had committed by speaking up.

“For all of the maids, you will be given no food for two days, and as for the brave little maid, I have taken interest in you. Let’s play a game together later on,” Odette expressed.

Hearing those words, the brave maid trembled visibly, and her eyes widened due to horror. Regret was shown on the maid’s face.

Bowing couple of time, the maid pleaded for forgiveness, but Odette turned a deaf ear to all of that. The maid was old enough to know that she should not speak up without thinking.

“You all should pay better attention to my words,” Odette voiced out, “Since I am being lenient today, I would not take serious actions. However, if I see you being inattentive next time around, I would not mind disposing you. Now, stand up.”

Odette had expected to receive no reply after she had questioned on whether or not her calculation was correct. Even if they had responded to her, she would have found flaws within them to punish them.

Regardless of how meticulous they would have been, fhe maids would not have been able to avoid the punishment. Since they were her servants, it was a duty of theirs to comply with her mood swings.

All the maids did not waste a second before standing up straight and bowing at her, mentioning about how merciful she was. Odette took their choice of words to be funny.

“Now, with that settled, take the dirty boy for a bath, and only after he is cleaned properly, bring him at here. Other than Dennis, I want no one to be here,” she ordered.
