Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 21
“Are you crying?” a little boy questioned, standing beside the girl seated on the chair.
Seven year old Odette Albinius sat in front of table, and her gaze was upon the garden before her. A crestfallen expression was visible upon her features while a frown settled on her face.
The five year old Adrian, raising his head, stared at the girl in curiosity, and in his eyes were the hint of concern.
Taken aback by the question, Odette turned to look at the boy. She directed a fierce glare at his direction to which the boy remained oblivious.
“Why are you here!? Didn’t I dismiss all of the servants!? Who allowed you to come at here!?” Odette yelled her voice holding anger.
The loud voice caused the boy to take a step back, and signs of fear appeared in his eyes as he looked down to stare at the ground. While he fidgeted with his finger, he chewed on his bottom lip.
“You looked sad,” the boy answered, “Did something bad happen to you?”
Odette’s eyes widened upon hearing the boy’s words, and extending her hand towards him, she grabbed on to his neck.
Startled by her sudden actions, the boy raised his head, and his pupils dilated. A pain went through his neck as her grip on his neck tightened, and the fright became more evident in her eyes.
“Such impudence! How dare you claim that!? You are merely a servant yet you act to be so high and mighty! It seems that you need to be taught a lesson for your behaviour! And how dare you not listen to me!? Such a lowly creature!” Odette yelled before pushing his back and releasing the grip around his neck.
The impact caused the boy to fall backwards, and tears formed at the corner of his eyes. On the other hand, Odette glowered at him.
Odette Albinius opened her eyes.
Her body felt slightly exhausted, but that did not affect her much. As she laid on top of her bed, she recalled about the dream she just had.
Although a long time had passed away, she still remembered it distinctly. Was it because of how strange that moment was?
Her mood was down that day as far as she could remember. It was nothing new. It was not peculiar that none of the maids approached her and comforted her. She did not care about that. At that time, she did not prefer to see them.
However, it was quite weird how that boy approached her and tried to comfort her. Back then, she had thought how rude his actions were and considered it to be him rubbing salt into her wound.
The fact that she was wrong led her to let out a chuckle; that boy was genuinely concerned about her.
His luck really hated the five year old boy to lead someone as innocent as him into the most vile place.
Remembering about the conversation she had with the boy before losing her consciousness, Odette found herself instantly energized. In that instant, she wanted to get herself off the bed in order to meet the boy.
Maybe she was obsessed with the boy.
Finding that thought to be amusing, she pressed her palms on top of the bed and sat up straight on the bed. Turning her head, she faced the maid that stood beside her head.
Lowering her head, the maid stared at the ground.
Curving her lips to form a small smile, Odette ordered, “Bring Adrian to me.”
