Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 33
Due to the lack of time, Nicholas was not able to train the boys and only informed them on what their schedule will be consisting of. The boys did not show any objections to it; it was not as if both of them had choices in the first place.
Nonetheless, at here, everyone would be pleased to get the chance to become stronger, and a teacher like Nicholas was someone one could not easily get.
After the day was over, Odette took a small bath to relax herself. The intense training made her muscles sore, and hot bath always managed to ease them for her.
Finishing her shower, Odette decided to have some tea and snacks while holding a discussion over with both the boys.
Leaning back against the couch, Odette stared at both the boys before her. Although Dennis’ eyes held fear for Odette, there were no signs of that in Adrian. Moreover, he appeared to be quite happy in her presence.
It was strange, but Odette did not find herself being displeased. Not every day did she meet people who was not fearful of her.
“As both of you are aware of it, Sir Nicholas would be responsible for your training from tomorrow onwards, and slacking is something I do not find pleasant. I believe you would be pleased to learn what I do to those who slack.
Since you have been rewarded with this rare opportunity, you better be grateful. One week from now, a duel will be held between you two, and the winner will be rewarded.
Only rule is that you can not kill each other. Other than that, everything is fine. The date for the duel will not be changed regardless of what happens,” Odette stated her voice displaying her power.
Both of the boys nodded before bowing and saying, “Thank you for the opportunity, Lady Odette. We will try our best!”
Odette leaned against the pillar of the manor while maid held a parasol above her head, protecting her from the bright sunlight.
While Odette wiped the remains of the sweat from her face through her handkerchief, her eyes were upon the training field.
Nicholas was training both Dennis and Adrian. Odette observed two of them, trying to assess their skills.
When it came to Dennis, he had a bigger built and was stronger. Coupled with that, he appeared to have some skills of before as well.
Although Adrian was weaker and had a sickly body, compared to Dennis, he learned everything at an amazing rate. Even Odette found herself being impressed by how quickly he managed to progress even though it was merely three days.
Odette Albinius was once again reassured that she did nothing wrong by choosing the boy. At this rate, he might even become better than her very soon.
Instead of that frightening her, Odette was excited due to it.
At that instant, Nicholas ordered, “Stop! That’s it for today! Lady Odette would not be appreciating it if I train you both until the point you both collapse!”
With that, Nicholas placed his sword back in its sheath, and seeing that, Odette made her way towards them. Her maid followed after her, holding the parasol above her head.
Turning to face Odette, Nicholas did a polite bow before saying, “Well, Lady Odette, I will be taking my leave then. I have some important matters to deal with.”
“I will not be keeping you from that then. You may take your leave, Sir Nicholas,” she spoke out.
“Thank you, Lady Odette,” he voiced out before turning her back on her and starting to walk towards the other way.
Odette tilted her head to look at both the boys, and judging from their condition, she could see that the two of them were exhausted. Sweat dripped down both of their body, and her eyes fell on their knees, which was close to collapsing.
“Dennis, go and wash yourself up. After that, set up my dinner,” she commanded.
Dennis was curious on why he was the only one being sent. Nevertheless, knowing that it was not his place to question anything, he nodded and obediently obliged. He did not want to incur her wrath.
“I will be going then, Lady Odette. Thank you,” the boy spoke out.
“You leave as well,” Odette stated, referring to the maid who stood behind her. “If anyone shows up anywhere close to the training area, I would not be pleased.”
Turning her head back, Odette flashed a smile at the maid standing behind here, and seeing that, the maid shuddered. Understanding the meaning behind Odette’s words, she frantically nodded.
“Y-Yes, y-yes, Lady Odette, I will be doing that,” the maid spoke out.
After two of them left the scene, Odette glanced across her surrounding to make sure that there was no one around before focusing her attention upon Adrian.
Odette’s eyes fell on the pout that formed on Adrian’s mouth, and arching both of her eyebrows, she curved her lips up at the end.
“What’s the matter?” Odette asked.
“You gave all of them the order to leave, but you are making me stand at here. Lady Odette, my legs are aching. I am immensely tired,” Adrian vocalised, blinking his doe eyes multiple times.
Letting out a chuckle at how endearing the boy appeared, Odette spoke out, “Adrian, do you want to win the duel and be rewarded?”
A sparkle appeared in Adrian’s eyes at the thought of getting rewarded, and he nodded his head enthusiastically.
“Well, currently, you have no chances of achieving that, Adrian. Although you learn fast, you are lacking behind compared to Dennis. In other words, you are too weak to compete against him. Other than that, you are quite foolish,” Odette bluntly said.
