Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 46
Realizing that the head maid had not called for him, Adrian was quite confused when he returned to his room. Deciding to ask Dennis on this matter, he pushed open the door to his room and stepped in.
Seeing that the room before him was empty, creases appeared between both of his eyebrows, and he wondered where the boy could be. Recalling about the coins Adrian had handed over to Dennis, he decided to search for the boy.
“Adrian, what are you doing at here? Go down and gather there for the lunch. You will be missing it if you are late,” a female voice stated.
Turning back, Adrian’s eyes fell on Annie who stood before him, and he questioned, “Annie, do you know where Dennis is?”
“Dennis, I have seen him in the kitchen last time around, getting his food,” Annie answered, “Did you need him for anything?”
“Oh, thank you, Annie,” Adrian spoke out.
While Dennis sat on his chair, food was placed before him on the table. Beside him all the servants in the residents were seated, and all of them devoured there food in hurry, knowing how little time to lunch there was.
As Dennis was about to take a bite out of the bread in his hand, he found someone tapping on his back. Without being able to taste the bread in his hand, he turned back.
His eyes met with Adrian’s who stared at him with innocence present in his eyes, and the five year old questioned, “Dennis, where are coins?”
As the five year old mentioned about the coins, Dennis recalled about the coin he had taken from him and hidden it. Even if Adrian was asking for the money, Dennis had no intention of giving them to the five year old.
“Coin? What coins?” Dennis asked as creases appeared between both of his eyebrows, seeming confused by the situation before him.
“The coin that I have given you earlier, Dennis,” Adrian voiced out.
“Aren’t you confusing this with something else, Adrian? I don’t remember receiving any coins from you,” Dennis stated.
His words caused Adrian to widen his eyes, and shock was clearly visible in those eyes of Adrian. While he clenched his hand into a tight fist, Adrian did not understand why Dennis was acting like that.
“Dennis, in the room earlier, you said that you will be holding on to my coins until I return. You said that the head maid called for me even though she did not,” Adrian stated his voice showing desperation.
None of the servants bothered about the situation. At the Albinius mansion, this was a regular incidence; stealing each other’s payment was not considered to be big deal at here.
It was quite clear to them on how Adrian was the innocent boy who got tricked. Nonetheless, no one took the initiative to step forward and lend out a hand to him.
“Aren’t you being ridiculous now? I have not seen your coins, and since I have to finish my meal, please leave. There is not much time left,” Dennis spoke out.
